Description
Hi! We’re Lena (28) and Quentin (27), best friends travelling together in Australia on a Working Holiday Visa for at least one year.
We’re both very motivated, hands-on and always happy to help. Lena has worked for many years as an activity leader for both children and adults, which has taught her responsibility, adaptability and how to easily connect with people. She’s also a creative person who loves drawing, painting, photography and manual work.
Lena has already travelled to other countries and truly loves adventure. She enjoys stepping outside her comfort zone, challenging herself and discovering new ways of living. She’s especially excited to explore the more remote and wild side of Australia. Growing up in the French countryside, being surrounded by nature — and even getting a little “lost” — feels natural and exciting to her.
Quentin is a qualified carpenter and deeply passionate about his craft. He has been building his own furniture for years and loves creating, fixing and improving things with his hands. Although this is his first big international trip, it’s an adventure that has attracted him for a long time. He’s very resourceful, hardworking and enjoys learning new skills every day. Like Lena, he grew up in the countryside and feels most comfortable close to nature.
Lena speaks basic to intermediate English and is comfortable communicating in everyday situations. Quentin is still learning English and sometimes finds it challenging, but he practices every day and always gives his best with a great attitude and strong motivation to improve.
We’re optimistic, open-minded people with a real thirst for learning. We love adventure, nature, animals and outdoor life. We’re ready to work hard, adapt easily and fully commit to a meaningful Workaway experience, while sharing good energy and enthusiasm along the way.

Lena I’ve already had the opportunity to work in English, so I can communicate fairly well in everyday situations. I’m comfortable having conversations and understanding instructions, but my goal is to keep improving until speaking English feels completely natural. Living and working with locals is exactly what I’m looking for to progress faster. Quentin I’m currently learning English and still find it challenging, especially when speaking. However, I’m very motivated and not afraid to try. I see every conversation as a learning opportunity and I’m eager to improve through daily practice and immersion.

More details about your skills
Lena
I’ve worked many seasonal jobs over the years, which made me very adaptable and versatile. I started as an activity leader and later became a supervisor, which taught me responsibility, organisation and teamwork. I’ve also worked as a photographer, developing a strong creative eye and attention to detail.
Along the way, I’ve done plenty of hands-on jobs such as food and beverage service, egg collecting, cleaning and general maintenance tasks. Growing up in the French countryside, I often helped my parents with various building, renovation and house maintenance projects, so manual work feels very natural to me.
I’m reliable, motivated and always happy to help with physical work, creative projects or everyday tasks. I learn quickly and I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty.
Quentin
I’m a qualified carpenter with several years of professional experience. I’ve worked as a team leader, managing projects and coordinating with others on site. Carpentry isn’t just my job — it’s truly my passion. I love working with wood and creating things from scratch with my hands. Being able to build, repair and improve structures is something I find incredibly rewarding.
In addition to carpentry, I’ve worked in event catering and hospitality, as well as in agricultural jobs such as corn detasseling and lily-of-the-valley picking. These experiences taught me hard work, endurance and adaptability.
I’m very hands-on, detail-oriented and always eager to take on new challenges, especially projects where I can build, fix or improve things.
