Hi, I am Josie Carfora (Giusy in Italian)
I am a creative person, and i have a lot of different passions like sports, adventures in nature, paint, draw,
sustainable architecture,volunteering around the world,meet new people, exchange knowledge, love animals and nature, (I live also in a little farm and have 1 horse, 2 dogs, Billie and Calimero, 3 chicken, 1 cat and last but not least :1 goat!). I am a 31-year-old Italian teacher of art in public high school and a Graphic designer, illustrator, video editor, and architect who has moved to Thessaloniki since July for a long-term European volunteering to work as a graphic designer and video editor for 8 months in Eduact, an NGO that focuses on innovative education. I have 1 year of experience in teaching and 2 years in graphic design and video editing, acquired during this Erasmus and with an internship at MANN (National Archaeological Museum of Naples) as Graphic Designer organizing the design of contemporary exhibitions of different artists, or doing art workshops with children that were very fun and useful for the use of creativity and also to understand the importance of the environment and respect for life in general and to learn something, so I am looking for an opportunity where I can express my creative skills and my humanistic education.
I am passionate about art, in fact I paint, and I am also an amateur photographer (mostly- but not only- in analog), as well as Graphic Designer, and I have had experience in making group exhibitions of contemporary art, (my last solo photo exhibition is still going on in Thessaloniki).
I graduated with a degree in Architecture with 110 and summa cum laude, in Architectural Technology with the thesis "Architecture in Progress: Expandable Scissor System for Emergency Structures" from the University Federico II of Naples.

I am able to work in groups and on my own with enthusiasm, planning and organizing work phases, with attention to quality and delivery time and for group activity management, obtained both with these early work experiences in Eduact, as a freelance 3d artist for an architectural firm, and at the MANN, but also by conducting university exams, workshops, and literary, architectural, painting and graphic competitions and by organizing and participating in exhibitions where collective participation was sometimes required.
I have therefore acquired good attention and concentration skills under stressful conditions, both during demanding and complex activities, in view of programmatic deadlines, work and study activities, always trying to take care of quality and results, also being for 5 years in the creative organization of the DISORDER Music Festival in my city Eboli and also with my first work experiences as a tourist receptionist in the archaeological site of Pompeii. I 'm full of enthusiasm if I meet kind people so open to give me the chance to prove it!
