Description
Hey there! My name is Amy, I am from Ireland and my fiancé is called Ismaël and he's from Quebec. We just finished working in Germany for 6 months with workaway but now we are currently travelling in Thailand. We love to travel, find new experiences, live on the edge and have fun!

We met over 2 years ago working together at a dog daycare where I worked for 2 years and Ismaël worked for 6 months. We both love animals, meeting new people and exploring.

We just explored some of Canada, Europe, India, Vietnam and Thailand together and will arrive in New Zealand on March 8th so are excited to explore more of what this beautiful country has to offer.

We have both a lot of experience with animals as we worked for a dog daycare in Vancouver with sometimes more than 80 animals at a time (mostly dogs). I (Ismael) has volunteered at a farm on Vancouver island for a couple of months so I have basic knowledge about carpentry and gardening. I also worked in Fairmont pacific rim as a guest attendant so professionalism and hospitality are not unknown to me. Amy has worked in management roles in hospitality and retail so loves to work hands on. She previously worked in construction and also has basic knowledge in carpentry. All her other roles have been customer based and she is really good with people.
Together we speak fluently English, French and Spanish

 Amy is a very dedicated and responsible person, and we absolutely love her sense of humor! We… read more could always count on her, even in urgent or unexpected situations. She never hesitated to take on tasks, even when they came as a surprise. She helped us with housekeeping, in the kitchen, and with service, and was always greatly appreciated by the guests. Amy was flexible with her working hours and took excellent care of our dog, Onno, showing him so much love, empathy, and dedication. She is probably the most animal-loving person I have ever met. Amy also supported us with setting up social media, taking pictures, creating reels, and learning tools like Canva and Buffer. She taught me a lot about Instagram 😄, and her German improved steadily during her stay. Honestly, Amy, you should have stayed six months longer! You'd be fluent ;-)

 Ismael is a calm, patient, and focused young man, yet lively and full of energy when it comes to getting things done. He is a quick learner and very organized, with excellent work ethics. We greatly appreciated his organizational skills; for example, he sorted and organized our wine cellar. He also worked extensively in the garden and handled various maintenance tasks. In housekeeping, Ismael was always quick, efficient, and precise. Additionally, he supported us in the kitchen and with service—always with a smile!
Ismael is also a very mindful person. He practices yoga daily and occasionally facilitated yoga sessions for our team, which we all enjoyed. I’m sure he will become a great yoga teacher one day. His understanding of mindfulness is profound and sincere, and he values open and trusting communication, which we deeply appreciated. We learnt a lot with him about mindful communication.

Overall Experience :
We had an incredible level of trust in both Amy and Ismael. We even felt confident enough to leave the manor house in their care for a weekend, knowing everything would be handled responsibly included Onno and the chickens :-D
