Description
An outdoor girl at heart - I love yummy wine, delicious food, and good company. I come from coastal Australia but my parents have a small macadamia orchard 6h drive north of Sydney - so I love the beach, but also getting my hands dirty.
As an engineer, I am motivated to understand how we can utilise the land and resources we have to be sustainable. Whilst I have 5 years of chemical engineering practice, I believe that everything comes back to the land and community of which we are a part of. For this reason I am eager to participate in projects that involve working in harmony with the earth and it's people.
I have just finished a winter season in St Anton and am looking for the next adventure whilst abroad. I have a valid Austrian work visa until November and I have always said - "you can't diss it, till you try it" so I'm pretty much up to trying anything once. No mistakes, only lessons (haha). -

More details about your skills
- I have worked for over 5 years in hospitality, which has provided me with excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Furthermore, working in hospitality has given me a strong work ethic and the ability to work under pressure.
- As a chemical engineer I have a strong understanding of chemistry and physics, which are both critical components in the winemaking and farming industries. I would love to utilise my expertise in chemical processes to help develop sustainable practices that are both environmentally friendly and economically viable. I think my social skills learnt in hospitality paired with my problem solving as an engineer would allow me to make valuable contributions to any winery or farm as I can be a very versatile worker.
- I am always trying to challenge myself and have volunteered fixing medical equipment in a hospital in rural Cambodia. This experience has given me valuable skills such as adaptability, resilience, and the ability to work in a challenging and unfamiliar environment. This experience taught me how to work efficiently in a team, and exposed me to the importance of community and the value of working together towards a common goal.
- Lastly, I am from a large family with 6 other siblings. Being a part of a large family has given me the ability to communicate effectively, respect each other and adapt to different personalities and work styles. -

What else ...
I always love to learn a new card game, and am happy to teach a few myself. I enjoy nature, and love walks and have been on a few hikes in my time.
I like to try new things, so always willing to give something a go. In terms of sport, my favourite would be tennis, although I am just a beginner, and I have done some skiing but only in Australia and New Zealand.
I also have 17 nieces and nephews, so am very good with children, and really enjoying teaching and inspiring children to be creative and learn new things. -

The work changes depending on season and priority - from planting, to watering, to harvesting, to even helping out with the annual market.
