  Description

  We are a sustainable geotourism venture run by its owners, which gives you an experience of adventure tourism and customs of Lonquimay in a magical setting in the Araucanía region. We promote the use of renewable energy, sustainable community tourism, and care for the environment We own a trail called which is one of the 13 heritage trails of the Lonquimay commune, a guide developed by the culture unit of the Municipality of Lonquimay. In 2022 we became one of the new Geosites of the Kütralkura Geopark, the first and only Geopark in Chile, where the trail has two geological formations of millions of years and high Andean flora and fauna. Now we add the activity of astrotourism and crossings of 3 days or more. Here in our shelter only my partner, I and our two kittens live, that's why we need volunteering.
  
  Es un emprendimiento sustentable de geoturismo atendido por sus dueños, que te entrega una experiencia de turismo aventura y costumbres de Lonquimay en un mágico entorno en la región de la Araucanía. Fomentamos el uso de energías renovables, el turismo comunitario sostenible, y el cuidado del medio ambiente
  Somos dueños de un sendero llamado: , el cual es uno de los 13 senderos patrimoniales de la comuna de Lonquimay, guía desarrollada por la unidad de cultura de la Municipalidad de Lonquimay.
  El año 2022 pasamos a ser uno de los nuevos Geositios del Geoparque Kütralkura, primer y único Geoparque de Chile
  Dónde el sendero cuenta con dos formaciones geológicas de millones de años y flora y fauna altoandina.
  Ahora sumamos la actividad de astroturismo y travesías de 3 días o más.
  Acá en nuestro refugio solo vivimos mi pareja, yo y nuestros dos gatitos, por eso es que necesitamos el voluntariado.

They would know a Geosite of the first and only Geopark in Chile, Kütralkura Geopark. They would know how we are advancing in our sustainable self-management.

  Accommodation

  What else ...

  On their days off, they can tour the Lonquimay commune, which is the largest in the territory of the Araucanía region. In it you will find heritage trails, 37 Geosites of the First Geopark of Chile, many local lakes and rivers, volcanoes and above all the Mapuche Pehuenche culture, indigenous people of the Andean Araucanía. They will also be able to stay in the shelter if they wish. We are 45 km from Lonquimay, where you will find a bus to the regional capital that is Temuco and its surroundings, and also to Santiago, the national capital, approximately 800 km away.
  
  En sus días de descanso pueden recorrer la comuna de Lonquimay que es la más grande en territorio de la región de la Araucanía.
  En ella encontrará, senderos patrimoniales, 37 Geositios del Primer Geoparque de Chile, muchas lagunas y ríos locales, volcanes y sobre todo la cultura mapuche pehuenche, pueblo indígena de la Araucanía andina.
  También podrán permanecer en el refugio si lo desean.
  Nos encontramos a 45 km de Lonquimay, dónde encontrará bus a la capital regional que es Temuco y alrededores y también a Santiago, capital nacional a 800 km aprox de distancia.
