Hello!

We are a couple, previously living in the UK, who are currently on a 2 year career break, travelling, working and volunteering around the world.

Declan:
I'm British but grew up in Dubai, and have been fortunate enough to visit many countries. I am a self-driven and organised individual who loves being active and exploring new places. I find fulfillment in hard work and pursuing my passions. Meeting people and learning about new cultures is one of my favorite things to do.

Sports are a huge part of my life. Specifically, volleyball, cricket, running, golf, and rugby. I take great pleasure in the physical and mental challenges that come with these activities.

Apart from sports, I also love to cook and experiment with new recipes. The process of trying new cuisines and creating something delicious brings me a sense of creativity and satisfaction. I have a natural curiosity and love for learning, and I am always seeking out new knowledge and experiences to broaden my horizons.

I am an aerospace engineer by degree, so have a good understanding of how things work. I also have several week of general DIY and gardening experience. I appreciate the value of doing things right first time.

Roisin:
I grew up in Libya, Egypt and Malaysia and since my childhood have had a keen interest in travelling. I studied my university degree in Liverpool, UK in Bioveterinary Science, where I further developed my passion for animal science and care.

I love participating in team sports such as volleyball and netball, and enjoy yoga and pilates. I also find joy in outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing and cycling.

I am keen to get involved with DIY projects and would love to improve my current knowledge of gardening and plant care. I have experience with house and garden renovation and look forward to sharing and developing my skills through Workaway stays. I have always loved cooking and I am keen to learn more about local cuisine during my travels.

I love working with children and have experience teaching English to Burmese refugees whilst living in Malaysia. I also worked as a camp counsellor in a summer camp in upstate New York, teaching canoeing, rock climbing, mountain biking, camping and hiking skills to children.
