  Hi there…
  
  My name is jacqui and my partner is Dave, we run fishing holidays and a Gite business in the south of France on the River Lot.
  
  Medieval hilltop villages, crystal clear streams, limestone cliff faces and deep gorges, just incredible..,ideal for outdoor pursuits such as hiking, fishing, climbing, horse riding, etc etc…and the scenery is breathtaking, inspiration for artists, writers and photographers..
  
  we are lucky enough to have found a small holding right by the river which we share with our two horses and three dogs..
  
  We are looking for motivated people to help out with our project which could be anything from helping out in the kitchen preparing meals, dog walking, helping out with the horses, help keeping the garden tidy and generally being another pair of hands to help out around the place.
  
  As a keen renovator i’m happy to share some DIY skills to beginners , ive just finished the kitchen which I made using all recycled furniture and i loves to refurbish old furniture so you’d definitely pick up some painting tips….
  
  I love to be creative, love DIY, making things and being busy..
  
  i worked in London as an interior designer in the UK for many years before coming to france over ten years ago… somewhere along the road I met dave (he was in between one of his many fishing trips) and we finally ended up in a committed relationship.
  
  Dave is a passionate Carp fisherman who has travelled france on a shoestring following his passion and fishing in some of the most amazing places you could possibly imagine…he has spent months in tents on the banks of vasts lakes and rivers in lure of the big catch and wow ha she caught some incredible carp…
  
  we have launched a boat rental business which is promising to be a very popular with bookings already in place for the 2025 season..there will be lots of visitors wanting to catch fish!!!
  
  For accomadation there is a spare bedroom in the house and we also have the gite which we are currently working on, but its a nice wee place to sleep if you want some privacy…
  the house is a work in progress but its quite comfortable and the location is amazing, there is a local bus that goes from Cahors to Cajarc and figeac so its easy enough to explore..there are lots of fetes during late spring through to autumn, and good markets! Its a great place…

  Culturally, the area is rich in architecture, hidden gems, and glorious countryside. The ares is busy through the summer months with tourists visiting..we are less than two hours to Toulouse with an international airport, 40 minutes to Cahors with train links to Paris (i think about five hours)

  We would welcome workaways who enjoy the outside life, specifically helping with the gardening and vegetable patch, walking the dogs, helping with the horses, mucking out and grooming..also help in the kitchen, preparing meals and swoping recipes..we are also keen `DIYers, jacqui recycles furniture and often needs help with painting and finishing..

  Location is everything and our wee farm is in the perfect location for hiking, cycling, riding, in the heart of a geoparc the Lot Valley it is in an area of outstanding beauty and right on the River Lot and its amazing scenery The farm itself needs work, it was old and rundown but we are slowly progressing..
