Dear Workaway Community

Following a calling, I have left my home of the past 14 years to travel.
A mature traveller (born 1966), I enjoy contributing and sharing what is meaningful to you
while i can be perfectly happy in my own company.

I feel at my best when living a rather simple lifestyle close to nature.

Gardening has been a big part of my life, starting off at age 20 in my country of origin, Germany. Especially growing food.
In my late 20s another calling made me a midwife and health practitioner.
After migrating to Australia I have worked in Aged Care/Home Care as well as being a live-in-carer for some years in rural northern NSW.

Physically relatively fit, I can do most things around house and garden. I avoid lifting weights more than 10 kg and as far as kneeling and weeding goes I like a limit of about 1 hr at a stretch.

I'm known for tasty salads and can produce some decent cooked/baked goodies, too.
A healthy omnivore, I am very happy with a purely vegetarian diet, too. No special requirements.

Next to nature and gardens I enjoy meeting people. I'm not a great small talker but dive into some depth and i'll be on board.

I love creating harmony in singing (far from being a pro).

I'd like to learn a few card games.

I don't like watching television. I have plenty of alternatives at hand if you want to watch television. Sometimes I can be talked into watching a movie.

Very open towards indigenous teachings, caring for country, deep listening.
