  • Description

Hello all beautiful souls out there!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Agnieszka. I come from Poland and for the last 3,5 years I've lived in Scotland.

I graduated from Agriculture University with a Masters degree in Animal science (animal breeding and nutrition). A few years later, I found myself on a little farm in Poland pursuing my lifelong dream. I was living a simple life, in a wooden house with a herd of milking goats, a few hens and ducks. I was shepherdess, believe me or not, I loved every second of it! I made goat cheeses, baked breads, preserved vegetables and fruits.

I gained some experience of natural buildings while renovating my wooden house. I took part in a clay plastering course to be able to make cob isolation, clay floors and clay plaster on the walls.
I have some experience of gardening, especially in permaculture and eco-way.

I like to do some artistic projects in my spare time. Recently, most of them are jewellery and crochet toys and dolls. I took a 2 year course at the Folk University of Arts and Crafts and learned there many interesting techniques like tapestry weaving, basketry, wire wrapping, wood sculpture, macrame, stained glass, pottery and more.

I like traveling very much and I've been doing it since I was a child. I've been to Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, Turkey, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Scotland, Brazil, Mexico, Mauritius, India, Vietnam and Cambodia. All the experiences that I've had and all the people that I've met opened my mind greatly and shaped me as a curious and adventurous person. I love to learn new things, try new foods and be around kind and open-minded people! So much to learn in this lifetime. I've been travelling by campervan in recent years and this is what I do enjoy the most. This freedom!

As much as I like being with people, I do enjoy being on my own sometimes. Meditation calms my mind, yoga and exercises keep my body in shape, nutritious food keeps me in good health. Simple principles of my life.
I do always respect someone else's space and I adapt to the new environment pretty quickly. Consider myself an easy-going and positive person. I learn fast, always pay full attention and focus on the given tasks. I believe in honest exchange between hosts and volunteers. I was host on my farm and volunteer (through the WWOOF platform) in a few different places, so I know very well the expectations of both sides.
I'm looking forward to contributing my time and energy to interesting projects, learning new skills and having endless valuable conversations about everything. Thank you for reading and looking forward to seeing you all soon!
