10 of the most unique and amazing Workaway experiences!
Over the years we’ve had so many great hosts join the Workaway platform. We showed you the most fantastical Workaway destinations, most meaningful projects, best hosts for digital nomads and more… but since then we’ve come across even more incredible projects that we haven’t seen on your typical travel itineraries, so we just couldn’t help putting together yet another great list. These ones come from all over the globe, maybe some destinations you hadn’t even heard of, and definitely some experiences you didn’t know existed. Add them to your bucket list, add them to your to-do list, who are we kidding? Go and contact them right now.
1. Become an avocado farmer in Spain
Tourist-free Tenerife? Sounds like a winning combination to me. Help grow avocados, beekeep and preserve veggies at this organic food forest on the edge of Teno Natural Park, and connect with nature while enjoying this Spanish island paradise.
2. Join a Bedouin community in Jordan
Live with traditional Bedouin families and experience their cultures while sharing the natural beauty of desert Wadi Rum in Jordan with their guests and other tourists alike… in the company of some true desert-dwellers! All you need in exchange are some computer skills to help them with their website.
3. Live on a Sailboat in the Virgin Islands
Sailing intern – now that’s a pretty cool job to add to your CV if we do say so ourselves! No special skills required (apart from team spirit and an adventurous soul) to join this crew on their schooner sailing adventures.
4. Scuba dive in the paradise Caribbean island of St Barts
5. Become a Yoga teacher in Nicaragua
6. Help build a luxury dog vacation resort on the island of Aruba
7. Help in the Amazon Rainforest in Colombia
8. Become a blogger in a surf camp in Morocco
Blog everything about surfing, spend your days on the beach, create lasting memories. Oh and they are also looking for a yoga teacher.
9. Whale watching on a PRIVATE off-shore island in Tonga
10. Lead tours of a chocolate farm in Panama
And yes…there’s a big world out there waiting for you, your life isn’t going to live itself! So let's start with a glimpse into the limitless possibilities we have on Workaway, and see where the world takes you…
