Jordan and Jack only stayed a few days but made a positive contribution during this time. Jack helped with a few carpentry tasks and Jordan did a great job preparing wooden doors and painting. They are a friendly and respectful couple, with a positive attitude and useful practical skills. We'd definitely recommend them and would be happy to host them again.

I cannot even put into words how amazing this entire family is. Ashi and Ramin are gifted , kind , patient, thoughtful ,amazing parents and living expressions of everything that is good in the world. They are like a breath of fresh air and eternal sunshine. Their house is a home full of love, music , childrens giggles and the aromas of some amazing cuisine from Ashi's native India and Ramins Iranian roots. I so enjoyed helping with their daily tasks so they could have more time with their precious little ones.

Definitivamente recomiendo a Melanie!!!

Sarah and Lilli spent 8 days at Manakau Hideaway, and were the perfect Workawayers: industrious, methodical, friendly, outgoing, happy to do whatever jobs needed doing, and get up at 5.30am to help with marketing our plums. They were more than happy to tell us what it is like living in Alaska, which to us seems like the end of the Earth! They were very adept at Bananagrams, a game we really enjoy competing against Workawayers. But most of all, they were just fun to host, having an interest in everything we did here on the orchard. We wish them the best of times in their remaining time in NZ, and hope that one day they might return.

Spent a week at David's and really enjoyed it. Was my first Workaway experience, and I travelled by myself. David and Annie are such a lovely couple, and the 3 other volunteers who were there were a great group. We worked for a bit in the morning, went for brekkie in the village, chilled for a bit, had lunch, chilled, and then worked from 2pm, by which time it had generally clouded over (thankfully). I did a lot of digging! It was tough, and I was tired every day. But there were less strenuous jobs to be done also. Despite being tired, I still found time for a game or two of volleyball in the evening. The farm is beautiful and it was a great way to experience Vietnam. I'd love to come back and see how much trees (and David and Annie) are doing!

My son and I had a wonderful time at Dionne’s! The apartment is spacious and had everything we needed to feel at home! The location was close to shops and beaches! Dionne was very encouraging and so thankful for all the work we did! I would recommend to anyone looking for a laid back workaway host. If you can be self motivated and work hard you’ll fit right in!

We had a great time with this wonderful family. We stayed for 2 weeks and helped in the garden digging out roots, planting trees and the kids kept each other company. Daniela is very organized so you know what comes next and she also makes sure you take enough breaks. Ray is a wonderful cook and we enjoyed the meals together a lot. The house is very big so there is plenty of space to also have some time on your one if needed. We were very happy and thankful that we could be part of this family while staying there. We can highly recommend helping here!

Kay was an absolute joy to host. She brings a rare, childlike sense of wonder and delight to everything she does: curious, playful, and delightfully quirky in the best possible way. Her presence genuinely lifted the energy here. She was consistently communicative, responsible, and caring, and she followed through on commitments with ease and good humor. Kay is also a talented photographer with strong technical knowledge, and she contributed thoughtfully and creatively wherever she was involved. I appreciate learning about tools that I will now use for creative/tech pursuits.tHosting Kay felt less like managing a volunteer and more like sharing space with someone who truly gets the spirit of exchange. I recommend her without hesitation

This was a great experience of local culture and way of living . During my time here i made a logo using over 1000 bottle caps, hiked and camped on Mount Tampomas, went on a day holiday with his family to meet his wife's family, helped at the family shop hand packing and sealing, and i also designed a DIY bottle cap sorting machine but we didn't end up making that. Dindin provided moats meals and there was plenty of places to get food the few times he wasn't around. He provided a external room and a separate bathroom. I loved my time here the work style is very relaxed. This workaway gave me a great understanding of Indonesia. will definitely visit again if I'm in Indonesia.

We spent two weeks at Tom's place and we had a great time. The property is absolutely beautiful, from the house itself (and the domes!) to the various natural areas that he has improved with environmental care over the years, and the animals were such great characters and so well behaved - we loved them all, but we'll never forget the stars, Freya and Buddy :) Tom was super welcoming from the very first moment, great with communication, and very easy going with the work. The tasks were varied enough to keep us active but never bored - we made Clover the rabbit's pen escape-proof, did some caravan renovation works, collected wood for a very interesting wetland landscaping project, helped with animal care... He also gave us fantastic recommendations of things to do in the area and helped us with the logistics where he could. He was very generous with his space - including the nice and comfy room that he gave us and the super cool escape room that we managed to complete in one of the domes, such a treat! - and we felt very comfortable at all times. We enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen and got to share some meals together and fun conversations - we could easily have stayed longer if our travel plans had not been set. We would totally recommend a stay in this project to anyone looking for a quiet time in the nature, who loves animals and the outdoors, and who is ready for some physical work and respectful co-living. Thanks Tom!

This was my first experience with Workaway, and I was so lucky to be hosted by Yu Fen. She is such a kind, sweet, friendly, capable, and helpful person, always ready to support you with anything you need. Thanks to Yu Fen, I learned so much about Taiwanese culture, and I also really enjoyed sharing my Italian culture with her. It was a true cultural exchange in every sense. Yu Fen is always happy to let you try typical local dishes — and I warn you: in Taiwan you eat a lot, and everything is SO delicious!! 😍 Every morning she gave me many great suggestions about places to visit, which was really thoughtful and kind of her. Every weekend she also tried to organize something for me to see and experience, which I really appreciated. She introduced me to many of her friends, who were all very nice and friendly — I thank them too! I spent three wonderful weeks and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thanks to her, I am now very curious and motivated to learn the Chinese language. Before I left, she even bought me two notebooks to help me study and practice — such a very, very kind and thoughtful gesture!!!! This really shows what a beautiful person she is. 💛 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOST TO EVERYONE!! If you want to explore Taiwan and learn a lot about the local culture, you absolutely shouldn’t miss the opportunity to stay with Yu Fen. You have truly become like a sister to me, and we promised to explore Taiwan together. When you come to Rome, you will always have a door open for you! SUPER RECOMMENDED!! 😊

We loved having Mo stay with us! He has great experience and is willing to get in there and get dirty, work hard, listen to instructions and learn. Mo is very personable and easy to be around, helpful around the house, and a good conversationalist. He helped us with laying flooring, painting, and some really tough digging and transplanting. Highly recommend hosting him!

Kayleigh is wonderful young woman--very kind, pleasant personality, easy to be around, considerate, conscientious, competent, works independently with minimal direction. We really enjoyed her month-long stay with us and were able to get a lot of our goals and tasks accomplished with her help.

Max and Max were super helpful in their 3 weeks staying with us, they are keen to experience New Zealand food and culture, never complained during their time here and they chose not to be fussy at whatever we served up for dinner, pitching in to help whenever asked. They also made some dishes from their homeland for us which we loved and were keen to join in with our family activites and games. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any host looking for workawayers. Max and Max are friendly, capable and responsible and our family of 5 miss them now they have gone. We wish you all the very best on your travels Max and Max.

We spent 2 months in winter at Henry's farm after 6 months on the road accross Canada. We discovered a farm that is 90% self-sufficient, a timeless oasis, built with passion and hard work over the years by a warm and generous farmer named Henry. Many people dream of achieving this goal, but Henry has made it a reality and now shares it with others. We learned how to care for cows, milk them, and use the fresh milk to make butter, yogurt, and simple but delicious cheeses. It was a real blessing to be able to cook with fresh, varied, and tasty organic products grown on the farm! If you like to cook, it's a real paradise, and if you don't, don't worry, even the simplest meal will be delicious! The main tasks are divided up among the woofers each week: in winter, this mainly involved looking after the cows and chickens and preparing meals for the “farmily” :) Then, daily tasks are assigned each morning after breakfast. These are mainly general maintenance tasks; there is always something to clean or repair. Henry will make sure you are always satisfied with what you do. So jump on board with him, you won't regret it! In your free time, you can enjoy several trails around the farm that lead to beautiful and peaceful places. Thank you, Henry, for your trust, the good conversations and laughs, and for sharing your world with us. We wish you all the best, and don't forget to take care of yourself too! Leo and Marshmallow

Molly and Will were an absolute gift from God for us. They helped us in so many ways; specifically, rejuvenating the labyrinth, weeding, feeding and mulching the baby oak forest, stacking our wood pile, trimming long grass around other trees and sanding some of our deck. All tasks were completed with attention to detail and care. In fact, they invariably did more than I asked, showing initiative and being prepared to 'go the extra mile' to make the finished project shine. They were fun to be around, teaching us to play Catan, chatting easily and happily. They were simply delightful, friendly people. I highly recommend them to any other potential hosts. Ann and Liam

Emma & Gemma stayed with me 10 days and been really helpful. They know what they are doing and can work alone. They know how to use all the tools and machines for the garden. They've been a precious help for me. Thank you girls and see you again somewhere or when you're back this way on holidays.

Earl was my first host in Canada, and looking back it was a great way to start. He is open, helpful, and makes sure that you feel welcome and meaningfully involved. The tasks were varied and practical, including handyman work, gardening, and the preparation and maintenance of fishing equipment. Earl always worked alongside us and took the time to explain things clearly. The fact that I returned three times speaks for itself. I can definitely recommend Earl as a host.

Florence and Cyrille are experienced wwoofers who were thoughtful and respectful house guests, good communicators, and happy to get stuck into some hard work and problem solving. They were wonderful company and have some great vegetarian cooking and bread-baking kitchen skills. I'm very happy with how my garden was made less of a jungle, with all my newly sanded and varnished windowsills, one third of a rusty gate fixed up, and lots of other small jobs they were able to help with. Thanks Florence and Cyrille :)
