Pietro is an enthusiastic, kind and helpful young man. He was a pleasure to host and we will miss his lively, cheerful personality. He adjusted quickly to the demands of our busy lives and over the month began to learn new skills and put them into practice. He worked hard and was willing to do everything we asked him to do in three different locations. He is patient - especially living in our home with small children, customers and guests often here. He made friends in the village and learned a lot about Barbuda in his month here. We hope he will come back and see us in the future.

My time with Erin and Jay was short but I very much enjoyed their company. They are very kind and friendly. I worked with Jay helping installing the windows in the greenhouse and it was very relax, stress free and enjoyable. Jay is easy going and has a good sense of humor , it was a pleasure to work alongside with him. The tiny home is very cosy, clean and comfortable with everything you need . I highly recommend staying with Erin and Jay, they are a great couple ! Thank you for having me !

I had a really good and authentic stay with Achille, Josefa, their big family — and the dogs! They are very warm and welcoming while also respecting both their own privacy and yours, which creates a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The work mainly involved helping on the construction site (especially the foundation) and some tasks around the farm. Achille explained everything clearly and was always patient. The work is physical but very fair — and I honestly enjoyed being nicely tired in one of the hammocks afterwards haha. I learned a lot and really appreciated the experience. On the four working days (Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri), I shared breakfast and incredibly delicious lunch with the family. They also provide plenty of basic food supplies (oil, salt, rice, pasta, sauce, bread, and fresh vegetables from the garden), so I only needed to buy a few extras for the other meals. A highlight: there are tons of figs on the property you can pick. Sometimes I was also invited to join additional family meals. We shared nice moments together — for example visiting a local festival on one or a local BBQ on the other weekend. The cultural exchange here is definitely real, and you learn a lot about the region and language. Some English is spoken, but basic Spanish or French really helps. Also note: there is currently no Wi-Fi, so you’ll need a SIM card (Achille kindly helped me set mine up). Overall, I can definitely recommend this Workaway to independent and respectful volunteers who enjoy hands-on work. Thanks again for the experience guys!

I loved spending a week with Jane!! She was so kind and welcoming to me and I felt like at home! we had interesting talks, she invited me to her friends and took me with her to the city and beach so I had a really nice and interesting time! The work I had to do was totally doable, not too difficult gardening work and a bit housework when it was raining. I also had a lot of free time, where I could relax in her beautiful home in the nature (there were also amazing walks from her place). Her dog was very friendly and the food was super delicious! I can't say anything bad about my stay! it was just a wonderful week! Thank you very much Jane for the lovely time!🌸

It was one of the most memorable Workaways for us in our 7 month journey. The puppies are already big , but they are still playful and very easy to fall in love to, so beware. We had our very peaceful and equally exciting time here , especially after all the tourism that surrounds Peru. Other volunteers, Paula, Luthy, Paolo, who were there with us made it memorable for life , I wish we can reunite again and play one more Dutch game. If you are lucky , you, future volunteer, might ride horse with Elmer, milk a cow and enjoy Puno like a local and there are way more things to do for proactive people and if we understood right, Zeze has a lot of plans to turn Fondo Chincheros into something even more incredible, so you will surely have fun time there. Thanks you!

It's been so much fun to join Elissa and Claudia's family! We were passing through Switzerland and wanted to stop at workaway, and luckily these amazing ladies graciously allowed us to stay on short notice. We thought we would stay one night and now it's been almost a week haha. We arrived and felt at home straight away. I've never eaten so well! It's lovely life on this mountain, the main reason being the amazing personalities of the people here :)

Work was flexible and really appreciated, you could choose your working hours and you have a chance to try a lot of different delicious food. You can experience living in the real Mayan jungle, waking up with the beards in the middle of forest. Beach is quite close and you can visit many of attraction near by. We had the real pleasure of hosting Chiara and Rahel, they were a fantastic addition to our home. They were warm, respectful, and incredibly easy to live with and so much fun— they were always mindful of our space and fully considerate of our house rules. Chiara and Rahel contributed far beyond expectations, helping with cooking, cleaning, caring for our cats, supporting our home renovation projects, and working enthusiastically in the vegetable garden. No task was ever too big or too small; they approached everything with initiative, reliability, and a consistently positive attitude. What truly stood out was their willingness to help wherever needed and the care they put into everything they did. Their presence made a genuine difference in our daily life, and we felt completely comfortable and at ease having them with us. We would welcome them back without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend them to any host looking for trustworthy, capable, and thoughtful helpers.

Staying at Virginia's farm was a lovely experience. I enjoyed getting to know Virginia and her family, dogs, and the other workawayer while I was there. I have a tricky diet and Virginia did everything she could to accommodate me, which I really appreciated! She was always communicative and refreshingly matter-of-fact, and she helped us find interesting things to do in the area during our down time. The work was plenty without being too much, and Virginia was very reasonable about avoiding excessive heat/humidity (I was there in July!). The community itself was very friendly. The homes and farming areas were spread out over what seemed like a vast space which allowed me beautiful daily solo walks. Critters were plentiful! I saw a couple of copperheads and box turtles, a huge fishing spider, and many others. I loved the quiet mornings in the garden, spending time around the cattle, and feeding the chickens. I wish I'd had more time there to do and learn even more! If you're thinking of visiting Virginia's farm, I highly recommend it! My only advice would be to have a good pair of waterproof boots that you don't mind getting covered cow dung. 😄

My time here was a very special and meaningful Workaway experience. Mish and Nige are incredibly warm and generous hosts who truly go above and beyond for their volunteers. I have done several Workaways before, and the level of care and effort they put into making everyone feel welcome really stood out to me. They are deeply passionate about their conservation project and have a strong connection to the land they live on. You can clearly see their respect and appreciation for nature in everything they do. They are always happy to share their knowledge, whether it is about conservation work, local ecology, sustainable living, or practical skills. I learned so much during my stay and felt inspired by their dedication. What makes this place even more special is how much Mish and Nige care about each individual volunteer. They take the time to understand your interests and strengths and try to create tasks and learning opportunities that suit you. The work always felt meaningful and rewarding. There was always plenty of incredibly delicious food and we shared many great meals and conversations together. This wonderful place also attracts amazing people, which makes the experience even richer. I met kind and inspiring individuals and shared unforgettable moments with them. If you are looking for a Workaway where you feel valued, learn a lot, connect with nature, and become part of a caring community, this is a truly special place.

This was my first Workaway experience and I truly loved it. Sara and I clicked straight away from the start and one of the things I appreciate mostly about her is the way she communicates: clearly, kindly, honestly and with respect. At home she helped me keeping the house tidy and supported me with the kids, beconing part of our daily family routine with such ease. She is very open, approachable, and flexible, and integrated into our family in a very natural way. Whenever there were needs or adjustments on either side, we were always able to talk things through and find a solution that worked for both of us. If she was ever unsure about something, she always asked — and she always took responsibility. She is a very intelligent, adaptable, and empathetic person who is genuinely willing to learn and grow. Open-minded and polite, she brought a calm and positive energy into our home. We truly made the most of this experience and built real trust along the way. I’m so happy she chose to share this journey with us, and I’m deeply grateful for all the support she gave me and my family so far. I am sure that we have both learned a lot from this experience and from each other. The bond we were able to create has truly added value to my family, and I sincerely hope we will stay in touch. I wish Sara all the best here in the Netherlands after she will leave our home and I would wholeheartedly recommend hosting her to anyone who is looking for a brilliant and very resourceful person!

Ruth Maria is a strong wise woman! She strikes me as a person not afraid of hard work and had really interesting stories to tell. She was full of enthusiasm and got stuck in whenever she was needed and did a great job! Ruth is a cool lady you would be wise to host her and get to meet her. I hope to see her again some day. :)

Amelia was a pleasure to host. She is a smart and conscientious young lady , full of positive energy and unusually astute for her age so I was delighted with her company and conversation as well. On top of that she is also very creative and diligent and seems to make the best of her time and energy. You can be lucky to host her.
