Description
Hello friends!
Our names are Erin , Jason and Marlo - the cat!
We recently bought a home on 3 acres in a country setting here in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, BC Canada and are slowly turning it into a small hobby farm. So far we have added many veggie garden beds, honeybees, chickens, quail, a mini orchard and oodles of flowers (Erin is obsessed) and we still have lots more to go.
Our goal is to continue making this place even more magical than it already is and we are hoping to find the right person(s) to help make that happen! If you're into slower paced, country living - this is the place!Types of help and learning opportunities

We are always learning ourselves as we embark on this new journey of creating a mini hobby farm. We think the most interesting thing we have here are the honeybees. They're fascinating little buggers!

This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
A lot of the work will entail landscaping, woodworking, building greenhouses, wood structures, staining, retaining walls and whatever else comes up as we go. We have a few fences that need tending to also. It would be ideal if you knew how to use basic wood working tools such as a saw, etc. but not necessary. We're just stoked to have someone help us and to meet new people.

Accommodation
Beautiful tiny house on the property with one queen bed in the loft and single bed/couch below. Our tiny house is your own self contained until that is nestled in the woods on our property. It has its own fire pit out back, patio table and chairs and clothesline.
What else ...
Nanaimo is full of rivers, lakes, hikes and the great outdoors. There is lots to see and do and there are many towns a short distance away that you can checkout. Having a vehicle is a must as we are in the country and there is no bus route here. Meals are not provided however the tiny house has a kitchen for all your kitchen needs. :)
