We loved having Eigil & Elisa stay with us they were exceptional volunteers and a real asset to our farm. From the outset, they showed maturity, intelligence and a strong work ethic, and quickly earned our trust. Over their stay, they took on significant responsibility. I was able to explain the desired outcome and leave them to deliver the work independently, which they did to a very high standard. They were exceptional at taking care of our animals, especially the baby animals. Beyond the work, they were wonderful company, thoughtful& easy-going, contributed positively to the group dynamic and were appreciated by everyone around them. We would welcome them back without hesitation. If you have the opportunity to host them, grab it with both hands.

Emiliano and Kate were so kind, supportive, respectful and we enjoyed getting to know them. They had initiative and helped us with so many different things. It was a pleasure to host them. Thanks guys!

Lorenzo stayed for two months with us and we had a great time, he really helped me a lot thank you so much for that. We went out to many places and cooked Italian food 😁. Lorenzo is very respectful, responsible, and super reliable. I highly recommend working with him. We still keep in touch and will :)

I really enjoyed my stay during this Workaway. It was my first experience, so did not know what to expect, but the hosts Dionny and Alan welcomed me with so much love and care. What I really liked, was the variety that the Workaway provided. The work differed from day to day, from weeding crops to planting seeds and teaching English to local kids. When we didn't work, Alan would recommend hikes in the area, which turned out truly amazing. Also, Dionny's cooking was truly amazing and served a great way to experience typical northern Peruvian dishes.

Jente is a marvelous teacher, she was so sweet and fun to be around. Even shared a yummy treat with all students.. We'll definitely miss her and wish her the best on her next journeys.

We had a great two weeks with Danny, Tamsyn, and the kids! They are a very welcoming, friendly, easy-going young family and our stay with them felt very natural right from the start. Their place and the fabulous room they prepared for us were really nice, and the views from there were so so beautiful - even better than in the pictures! Judit helped with housekeeping and took care of the cutest baby ever, while Adrià helped with the final stages of the construction of a bouldering gym that Danny and Tamsyn were inaugurating in Coffs Harbour, which was very interesting. Although these were busy times for them - with the approaching opening of the gym and having a toddler and a baby to look after - we got to share some nice meals and conversations together, met their lovely extended family over a yummy banana bread and ice-cream gathering, and went for a swim at a cool waterfall in the rainforest nearby. Danny and Tamsyn keep a small car to be used by WorkAwayers - which Adrià used to drive to and from the gym and also gave us a lot of freedom in exploring the beautiful area around Sawtell. They also lent us a beginner surfboard and were great with recommendations about things to do and places to visit, which helped us make the most of our exploration time! We spent 2 months with Linda and Bernie and enjoyed our stay quite a lot. Our hosts were extremely friendly and treated us like part of their family, including us in daily dinners for great food and conversation. We had a private bedroom and bathroom and the overall accommodations were comfortable and spacious. They are appreciative of the work we did but not overly demanding. We had a wide variety of tasks to do and received enough instruction and guidance to perform them all well. The exotic birds were something new for us, so that was both educational and interesting. The dogs were fun, playful and extremely appreciative of our time and affection with them.

This was my first Workaway I stayed at. I had to find somewhere to go at the last minute, due to my HouseSit being cut short due to adverse weather conditions. Neville offered me somewhere to stay at the last minute, which was very welcome. I had a lovely time at his place. It is an amazing location in the trees and forest, with amazing views out to sea. His chickens, guinea fowl and pheasants where very entertaining, including an amazing golden pheasant and a silver pheasant, which I had not seen before. He provided nice healthy food, is a great cook, and kept me busy cleaning his kitchen, keeping the dishes washed, dusting shelves, and preparing food for the barbeque he had on the Saturday evening with friends. He is a kind, caring, and honest person. We quickly and easily became friends. I highly recommend Neville's home here as he is trustworthy and easy going.

Gahyeon. Trajo alegría y frescura Muy buena dispocicion y se esforzo en hacer una comida coreana solo con arroz y huevo y consiguió. Trabajo pesado y se adapto al sol y a la rutina de la casa y el jardín cargando hojas y reciclaje. Consiguió darnos una Master Clas de tenis...junto con nuestra querida Nino...donde nos divertimos mucho. Y a adaptarse a un vino y conversa de Artista. Kennedy and Miguel were very helpful pulling up invasive pine saplings, which sprouted after last year's forest fire. They also helped to chop and stack firewood for the coming winter months and improved some paths in the vegetable gardens. They are a very pleasant and polite couple to have around. Many thanks for all your help.

Julia stayed with us for a month in February and helped with the daily tasks at the shelter, motivated by her love for animals. She showed genuine interest in the animals, cared for them exceptionally well, and learned the daily tasks very quickly. In addition, she was cooperative and communicative with the other volunteers and met the demands of animal care while adapting to the shelter’s conditions. She is in excellent physical condition and was very eager to help carry food, clean the dog areas, and build makeshift shelters for them when needed. She showed love for the animals and tried to do her best for them, taking them on more walks and pointing out problems so we could intervene. With maturity, responsibility, and the desire to make the world a better place, we would welcome her back anytime and, of course, recommend her to any host.

Tatjana and Stefan were amazing. Tatjana created a beautiful artistic painting in our bungalow that truly brought a special soul to the place. Stefan has an incredible vision for outdoor design and is very efficient in everything he does, always using the right approach. They are a perfect and highly complementary couple. On top of that, they were super friendly and easygoing—we really enjoyed having them! Thank you guys 😊

It’s a beautiful place and a great location to stay, close to nature while still being easily get to the city. Kaaren has a lot of knowledge about travelling and is also a great cook. I stayed for one month and helped with gardening and general cleaning tasks during my time there. Thank you, Kaaren, for having me. I wish you all the best! :)

Apo y Alex fueron voluntarios muy bacanos. Desde su llegada mostraron una actitud muy positiva, compromiso y muchas ganas de aportar. Se adaptaron rápidamente a la dinámica de la finca y trabajaron en equipo de manera muy armoniosa. Participaron en diferentes actividades como : prepracion de la huerta para la siembra, construccion base para bodega, adecuar terrazas , cortar pasto mantenimiento galpones con responsabilidad y entusiasmo, siempre dispuestos a aprender y ayudar en lo que fuera necesario. los momentos para charlar e intercambiar experiencias fueron muy amenos y enriquecedores ,su energía, respeto y buena disposición aun con las inclemencias del clima (mucha lluvia) hicieron que la convivencia fuera muy agradable. Sin duda, fue una experiencia muy valiosa contar con ellos en la finca, y los recomendamos totalmente para cualquier proyecto de voluntariado . !Gracias¡ finca

Mi paso por la finca fue una experiencia de mucho aprendizaje y conexión. Compartir con Rodrigo, Fani y su familia me permitió conocer más sobre bioconstrucción, el cuidado de la huerta, alimentación muy saludable y una forma de vida más consciente y cercana a la naturaleza. Su experiencia y apertura hacen que el aprendizaje sea constante. Es un espacio donde uno se siente cómodo, bien recibido y motivado a seguir aprendiendo. Llevo un profundo agradecimiento y muchas ganas de volver!

Estuve durante enero con Marina y su familia. ¡Fue increíble! Todos muy amables y atentos. Los niños, Andrea y Marghe, con mucha energía y ganas de jugar. Marina siempre dispuesta a ayudar en lo que necesites y Alberto igual. Pude recorrer Imperia y sus alrededores en bicicleta, todo bellísimo y definitivamente el mejor clima de toda Italia. Por motivos personales tuve que partir antes y lo entendieron. Me sentí como en casa y me enseñaron mucho, sobre todo de comidas gracias a sus invitaciones a La Scialuppa (su restaurante). ¡Me encantaría volver a Imperia y visitarlos! Grazie mille 🌸

I really enjoyed my time in Tottori with Richard and crew. I spent about a month there and it really started to feel like home! Now that I am back in the states, I am missing it very much! The work consists of caring for two pigs, two goats, and numerous chickens. It was really sweet getting to see the animals every morning and see their unique personalities! Outside of animal care, tasks are varied, such as removing kudzu, building fences, cleaning, etc. It is a nice balance of routine and novelty. As a workawayer, you stay in an older Japanese house that is only a 4 minute walk away from the nearest train station. You can also walk to almost anything you need including a grocery store and the post office. You typically share the house with other workawayers which gives you a nice built in community to connect with. Richard also seems to have a knack for picking fun and interesting volunteers and I really enjoyed getting to know everyone! One thing I appreciate most was getting to interact with the local community. I speak a little bit of Japanese and it went a really long way in enabling me to talk with neighbors and some of Richard's local friends. I also found everyone around town to be very friendly and kind which helped Tottori feel like home. Richard himself is a very fun person who knows a lot about the area and has great recommendations for sight seeing or trips on days off. I also deeply appreciated that Richard was very prompt and thorough with his communications!

​We stayed at Ines and Mathilde’s place for about two weeks and really enjoyed it! Both of them are great people. They cared a lot about our well-being and were great to spend some free time with. The work was well-organized and well-suited for us. Also, the accommodation is cozy and especially the shared space/kitchen is great to hang out in. I would warmly recommend a stay with Ines and Mathilde.

Frank has an amazing hidden gem near the northern coast of Belize. He is well organized and has several projects. There is always something enjoyable to do. The two plus weeks I was there we built trusses for the roof of his upcoming workshop, collected samples from beehives, bottled honey from the farm, and did general tasks. Frank drove to the nearby Mayan ruins and to a nearby town in Mexico. Frank is extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and how to apply it in certain situations along with how to create potions, decoctions, and topical remedies. Frank has high integrity and makes sure the volunteers have everything they need. We went to the local markets a couple times and is highly respected in the community. He is fair, courteous and respectful with everyone with whom he interacted. He is a gentle and kind human. Frank has the perfect sense of humor only understood by those who have life experiences. He is really good at solving the worlds' problems. I did not get to meet the entire family as they had recently gone to visit family. Frank handles situations accordingly with the keen ability of being resourceful. The sleeping arrangements are incredible with a cabña or rooms available. The grounds have hundreds if not thousands of useful vegetation varieties. The color combinations have been thoroughly designed and are complimentary to the environment. His two cats are the most lovable and cuddlesome cats and his dogs are adorable. This visit was one that strengthened my faith in humanity's direction. When it was time to leave, Frank drove to the bus stop. This guy is very considerate of others. He contacted me for a couple days after departure to ensure my travels were going well. He also mentioned I left behind an item. Now I will be buying a new French press at my next destination. I really enjoy morning coffee and without it I feel lost. :) A big Thank you to Frank!
