This was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I didn't know what to expect coming to Italy to teach English but so glad I did this. Elvira went above and beyond as did the others making sure you felt at home. The hospitality given was amazing. The bond you make with the students is truly unique, as they admire you teaching and assisting them to learn English. I was sad to go, but would go back in a heartbeat and definitely recommend this to anyone looking into this. Definitely on your days off, take advantage and go see Campania if it's Naples, Salerno, etc.

Erika and Camille are truly wonderful people. Communication was smooth and clear from the start, and they took excellent care of our house, the animals, and the garden. Everything was in perfect condition when we returned, it was such a pleasure to come home to. We would highly recommend them and are very grateful for their help!

I met your in Octorber 2025. I'm Japanese, but I can't speak English. But the whole family treated me kindly. It was my first workaway, but it was really fun. He also taught me farm work carefully, so it was very easy to understand. Thank you for the fun time of two weeks.😆

I spent two months with Scott and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. The workload was super manageable, especially towards the end. All of the horses had such unique personalities and were fun to work with and I was able to learn a lot from them and from Scott too of course. Scott was a great and trustworthy host, always there for questions and happy to help if there were any problems. We had some great talks and drives, the vibes in the house were so fun and easy going. I had a bedroom and bathroom all to myself, which was a real luxury. I had a lot of free time to just hang out, go on walks with Susie (the craziest, cutest dog) or take the train to Galway City which was great. I do have to say that it often was hard without a car, so you’d definitely benefit from having access to one. Galway is a beautiful county with so many things to see, it would be a shame to let all that go to waste! Overall my experiences here were super positive, I keep this place in such fond memory and I very much hope to return some day!

Roxana came to stay for 3 nights over New Year, and it was such a blessing having her help with a gathering in the house. She helped with lots of preparations, including make the gathering space welcoming and pretty, preparing some delicious food and helping with cleaning and arranging things. During the gathering she was great at turning her hand to what needed to be done. Her offer to come and help came at the perfect moment, and it was effortless making arrangements for her arrival. Her communication was prompt and clear, and it all felt very relaxed. Roxana´s Spanish is great, and she effortlessly fitted in with the group and made lovely connections. She is both relaxed and at ease meeting new people and settling into the environment. She is an open and curious person, and it was a delight getting to spend time with her, talking about our paths and outlooks on life. She is intelligent, practical, caring and super open to grow and embrace what life is offering at this time of her life. Her gentle presence is beautiful and it makes for spacious and engaging connection. I feel very blessed that she came to the house at a special time of the year and was part of the gathering. I feel I have learnt a lot from her, and many of her words stay with me. Thank you so much for your being and all your help. : )

Victoria got in touch with us just before Christmas to see if there was an opportunity to volunteer. Unfortunately, we were fully booked at the time, but she did come and stay with us for a few nights. Even though her stay was short, it was really lovely and left a lasting impression. Victoria was a pleasure to have around. She was respectful, easy-going, and always clean and tidy. She looked after the space as if it were her own and fitted in effortlessly during her time with us. I wouldn’t hesitate to have Victoria back and would happily recommend her to any future hosts or volunteer programmes. Warm regards, Stephanie

Tugce was one of the best volunteers we’ve had! It was the first time we hosted someone from Turkey, and having her here brought back wonderful memories of our trip to her country. She is a very interesting and thoughtful person, and it’s easy to have deep, meaningful conversations with her. She always respected our space and the house rules, and she brought a great vibe to the home—energetic, cheerful, and very authentic. She even cooked for us a few times (delicious vegan meals). In terms of volunteering, Tugce was reliable and proactive. She genuinely cared about understanding each task properly and always did her work with attention and responsibility. During her one-week stay, she helped us keep the house clean and supported us with daily chores. She also completed two big outdoor tasks: she cut the grass and covered our entire front fence with special fence tape—both done very well. Beyond the work, it was a truly rich cultural exchange. Tugce shared many stories about her experiences in Turkey and Lebanon, as well as her two years of research in Australia. We also did a few treks together, and in a short time she became a friend not only to us, but also to people in our local community in Merlo. She is now staying with friends in another province in Argentina, and they are also very happy with her. We highly recommend Tugce to any host looking for a respectful, hardworking, and warm volunteer. Wishing you the best on your journey, dear Tugce!

Alex volunteered at our training center for two months, supporting French classes for adult learners from beginner to intermediate levels. He was respectful of class schedules, and he did a good job engaging students. Alex is a good communicator with a friendly and professional attitude, which made his classes effective and enjoyable. During his stay with us at home, he was independent, respectful, and easy to live with. We truly appreciated his contribution and highly recommend him.

I have had such an amazing time at la Casita de Amor, the people here are so friendly and nice plus Keo is adorable, cheeky and such a quick learner. Im seriously going to miss the little fella. The house has amazing spaces and atmosphere, plus the neighborhood is safe and cute. I ended up spending my entire time in France here, I was welcomed into the household and never want to leave. My time(visa) is up but I shall come back and visit, I will always hold this place and the people in my heart. ❤️

This is long overdue! I had the fortune of spending two wonderful weeks with Ana, José, and their two charming children, Noa and Adán, during the last half of September. The entire family was super welcoming, and I felt truly comfortable in their lovely home. I was able to connect with the kids by playing games, listening to music, and visiting their lovely school to practice English with the students. My short stay was an enriching experience, and I loved immersing myself in the culture :). Based on the family and people I met, I quickly learned how people from the region of Andalucia are truly the best of the best! Palomares del Rio is also a really charming town that is well-connected to neighbouring cities; I was able to arrange weekend trips to cities like Cadiz, and also explored Sevilla during the week and weekend! Ana and Jose were extremely accommodating and very flexible with the schedule. I had plenty of free time when I would go to the gym, for instance, which is a short walk from the house. I would recommend anyone to stay with Ana and Jose's amazing family!! Feliz año nuevo! Gracias por todo y saludos desde las Filipinas!!! Espero que les este yendo increible y se la hayan gozado en sus vacaciones navideñas :)

Lia and Robin were a joy to host. They brought great energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity to everything they did, and were always happy to help. What stood out most was their willingness to go the extra mile — they often found additional ways to contribute, even outside of regular working hours. They took part in all aspects of the project with a positive attitude and genuine interest, and their efforts were always appreciated. They were also kind and respectful toward our dogs and other animals, and showed real care for the ecosystem and the rules of the place. Overall, I was very happy with their stay and would gladly recommend them to any future host.

Thank you for that.

Magda stayed with our family for about one month, and from the very beginning, she became a part of our family. She adjusted so quickly that we never felt she was from another country. Her positive attitude, kindness, and openness made everyone feel comfortable around her. One of the most beautiful things about Magda is her effort to learn Nepali, especially to communicate with our grandma. This showed her respect for our culture and love for our family. She even went to my school, enjoyed spending time with the children, and the children liked her very much. She connected with them so naturally and joyfully.Magda is also very talented in drawing. She made lovely sketches of the children as well as our grandpa and grandma, which we will always treasure. She loves gardening and actively helped us with vegetable growing and farm work. She never hesitated to help and always worked with enthusiasm. She also took our dog Rocky for walks and cared for him lovingly.Despite being only 19 years old, Magda is incredibly skillful, hardworking, and responsible. She loves staying involved in everything and truly enjoys working and learning. Her presence brought happiness, warmth, and positive energy into our home. We are very grateful to have spent time with her, and she will always have a special place in our hearts. We miss you magda

Elena was an exceptional volunteer and a truly wonderful person to have in our home. From the very first day, she showed an amazing attitude: always helpful, down-to-earth, cheerful, and full of positive energy that naturally lifts the atmosphere around her. She helped us tremendously with cleaning the windows and, most importantly, with organising the house. Thanks to her support, we made progress we would never have achieved on our own: we organised the living room, corridors, hallways, and even the bedrooms. Without her help, this would honestly not have been possible. During events, Elena was also a great support, assisting with cleaning and organising the tableware so it could be returned neatly and in perfect order. She was always responsible, careful, and proactive in everything she did. Beyond the work, Elena is a lovely person to talk to, and spending time with her was genuinely enriching. Her positive attitude, joy, and warmth made a real difference to our daily life. She also had very thoughtful gestures with us (including chocolates!), which truly reflect her kind and generous nature. We are deeply grateful for all her help and wholeheartedly recommend her. Any project would be extremely lucky to have Elena. She was simply amazing!
