My first Workaway with İbrahim, Ümmu, and their family was amazing. I stayed with Ibrahim and his family for about a week. Unfortunately, it rained most of the time, so I couldn't help out with the outdoor work as much as I wanted to. However, my stay with this warm-hearted family became an unforgettable experience for me. They welcomed me and invited me for chai, where we spent a relaxing time chatting like a real family. Ibrahim is an incredibly hospitable person. He often said, "I do Workaway not for the labor, but for cultural exchange and communication," and he truly lives by those words. The village of Dalaman is quiet, beautiful, and the people are exceptionally kind—someone even treated me to a meal at a local restaurant! If you are looking for a place with authentic connection and warmth, I highly recommend staying here.

We truly enjoyed Hilary's hospitality, conversations, and trust. We were welcomed with open arms and immediately felt at ease. She has created a wonderful place for workawayers to stay, with all the amenities. The dogs, Arya and Leo, and Henny the hen made the stay even more wonderful. Each with their own beautiful personality and a real need for cuddles! We will miss the walks, sunrises, sunsets, and play sessions! Thank you so much, Hilary, for the wonderful time!

Overall this was a positive experience where we met wonderful people from around the world who became lasting friends. There were some housing issues that weren't clearly communicated before arrival, but the hosts worked hard to accommodate us. We're an older couple with specific skills, which matched what they were seeking. However, we discovered we were looking for a different kind of experience than what the placement offered. We'd highly recommend this for younger volunteers wanting authentic off-grid farming and intentional community living. Jules is welcoming and easy to communicate with, which makes the experience enjoyable for the right fit.

I stayed with Hubbert for the month of December and had an amazing experience. Working with wood was a highlight. He's a great teacher who’s patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely enjoys sharing his skills. He’s also a very good host who made me feel comfortable and welcome from the start. By the end of my stay, he felt more like a friend than just a host. I’m really grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend staying and working with him.

🫶🏽 Bridie & Dylan were a joy to host. 🤗 Totalmente recomendados 💕

Madeg was a really super Workaway to have had here with us on our small farm. She was most enthusiastic and helpful, always completing her tasks efficiently. She sowed seeds, did vegetable weeding and a lot of tree pruning and clearing up of cut branches. Madeg is very friendly at all times, sharing her interesting travel experiences. She came for a second visit over Christmas, which we really enjoyed too.

Wow ! I stayed 3 nights at Alex and Annie place and Alex received me like if I was part of the family. The house he builded is magical on top of the Valley and with special energy. I cured my sciatica pain in his dojo taking time to stretch like I never did. Alex is a character and communication can sometimes be hard but he is a good person and really open to help you trought what you are dealing. As I am organised and I like things to be neat I matched pretty good with Alex mood. He's used to sail and cook on boat. And it's important for him that you respect the rules but once you get it it's pretty easy to enjoy yourself there. So just be ready to disconect from your phone and enjoy! Merci beaucoup Alex et Annie !

Tiago was a big help and very reliable company for several months. He came to us directly from Germany and brought a lot of good will and curiosity. He did his tasks well and explored the vicinities of the hotel, walked the beaches and went surfing. He certainly made some new experiences and discoveries here. We wish him a good continuation of his trip and more Workaway places and good vibes!

Gracias Julie! We had a positive experience with Julie; she is very energetic and has a lot of initiative and social engagement. She made some really nice puddings , sweets and empanadas and was always ready to offer her help and assistance. We passed some precious moments with her and the other Workaways, played some music and had a merry time. We wish her some more valuable experiences to cherish!

Everyone should have the chance to meet Leticia, Ivan, and Rada ! We spent 10 wonderful days with their family. They gave us a wonderful welcome and are very kind, warm, and attentive people. We had a great time with Rada playing, building a hut, crocheting, inventing games, telling stories, making pancakes, playing in the snow, and more. Rada is a very bright child, full of joy and very intelligent. Thank you for your trust and for sharing this wonderful experience with us :)

Frank and Junko were very generous and kind. We initially only planned on staying for 2 weeks, and ended up staying at their property for just over a month. They allowed us to use tools to build our 4x4 camping vehicle, and were helpful with information for us to get our feet on the ground here in Australia. They are both very friendly and easy going. When we found jobs they were flexible with the expected work hours of helping them on their property. We really enjoyed staying with them and they have a beautiful property that I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for a workaway experience. Thank you both very much Frank and Junko!

Mark and Marie Antoinette hosted me for 12 days, and they were incredibly welcoming and kind throughout my entire stay. They truly did their best to make us feel at home. Even when the work became a bit physically demanding, they always made sure we took breaks and had something warm to drink. The work itself was extremely enjoyable. Mark and Marie Antoinette worked alongside us Workawayers most of the time, so it felt more like a team effort than actual work. They taught us how to use different tools and instruments, and even when I was using tools I had never handled before, I always felt safe and well guided and the tasks varied enough that I never got bored. Beyond the work, lunchtime was always pleasant. They are both outgoing and interesting people, and Marie Antoinette’s cooking is delicious. This was my first Workaway experience, and I couldn’t have been happier with it. It allowed me to connect with nature in a deeper way. As a city girl, I’m not used to many aspects of this kind of life, but this experience helped me appreciate moments of tranquility much more. I’m usually the kind of person who always wants to talk and do activities, but after this experience, I’veunderstood the beauty sitting in front of the fireplace for an hour without saying a word, simply because it feels right. I will definitely miss Mark and Marie Antoinette and their lovely animals.
