Helen and Gabriel are wonderful people. They have a beautiful land with a stunning view over the Alps and the Vercors that I could sit and admire for years, and a really cool, well organized garden with delicious crops. Helen makes great jams and impressive earrings, and Gabi makes the most tasty spicy sauce ever, which I ate literally everyday I spent in the farm. Besides their cooking skills, they have an always interesting conversation (they know a lot of stuff, really), and a great sense of humor. They were welcoming and easy going since the beginning. The working dynamic was very easy, the routine was nice and chill, tasks were diverse and interesting, and they give the volunteers a lot of freedom to try tools and tasks and learn new stuff. There were a bunch of other volunteers coming from everywhere, everyone was super kind and fun and we had a great time. This was my first workaway, and honestly I wouldn't change a thing from the experience. I will definitely come back :) Thank you!!

I spent a month here and had a very positive experience. The place is peaceful, quiet and closely tied to the beautiful natural surroundings, it’s easy to slow down and settle into the rhythm of shared living. The work was varied and fair (gardening, maintenance, general eco-village tasks). Expectations were clear, and shared responsibilities like meals and cleaning felt natural rather than imposed. The staff are warm, relaxed and respectful, while still valuing initiative and consistency from volunteers. Food was consistently excellent!! I met truly remarkable people and felt lucky to experience, from within, the depth and richness that grows out of intentional community living. I’d definitely recommend this host and great place to anyone looking for a genuine, grounded community stay. 🌿

Als wir die Farm von Monika und Jannis betraten, wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen. Beide nahmen uns sofort in ihr Familienleben auf. Dadurch hatten wir die Möglichkeit, ihre Freunde und Bekannten kennenzulernen und das griechische Leben hautnah zu erleben. Sie waren stets bereit, uns die Kultur ihres Landes näherzubringen und hörten ebenso interessiert von unserem eigenen Lebensalltag. Es war ein schönes Geben und Nehmen – wir hatten viele bereichernde Gespräche und einen lebendigen Austausch. Die Arbeit auf der Farm war abwechslungsreich. Wir hatten auch die Gelegenheit, Neues zu lernen, und bekamen dafür immer genügend Zeit und Geduld. Wir verabschieden uns von neu gewonnenen Freunden und wollen weiterhin in Kontakt bleiben. Vielen Dank für alles! Bärbel und Gerd When we arrived at Monika and Jannis’s farm, we received a very warm welcome. They immediately welcomed us into their family life. This gave us the opportunity to get to know their friends and acquaintances and to experience Greek life up close. They were always happy to introduce us to the culture of their country and were equally interested in hearing about our everyday lives. It was a wonderful give and take – we had many enriching conversations and a lively exchange. The work on the farm was varied. We also had the opportunity to learn new things and were always given enough time and patience to do so. We say goodbye to newly gained friends and hope to stay in touch. Thank you for everything! Oumayma and Eke spent several weeks at my house and It was delightful for me to host them. Each of them has different skills to share . Both are very consciencious and harmonious as well as humorous. When I had to be away from home I felt comfortable to leave them there alone . I can say that my household is in a better shape since they have been here so they leave me better off than when they arrived. you can be lucky to host this DYNAMIC DUO !!!

A wonderful, positive gal who works hard and spent excellent quality time with my mum, keeping her occupied. Isabella came back and stayed with us a second time and helped looked after my dogs and mum while I was away for 3 days. Her English is excellent.

It was one of my dreams to travel to Sicily and to volunteer in a orange harvest. Very delicious blood oranges. Everything is so beautiful,inspiring and tastily there. There is a lot of knowledge about permaculture and the simplicity of a beautiful life at the coutryside. Jenny and Luca put a lot of effort in that you feel welcome. They are like a family with their heartfelt way and energy. We had many interesting talks about life and philosophy. Also I really enjoyed the cultural exchange and to be able to speak some portugues and to practice a bit italian. It is a very beautiful and cozy place with all the cats, the wood-burning stove, the house, the garden and the camper. At the end I stayed for the entire harvest and I really enjoyed it. I am very grateful for the experience.

I really enjoyed my two weeks at the chateau. Micaela and John are very kind and generous people. I wish every workawayer could have this experience, it is a great example of how workaways should be done. Please feel free to contact me if you have specific questions.

Mein 4-wöchiger Aufenthalt bei Familie Cis war ein gelungener Start in mein Italienabenteuer. Ich wurde vom ersten Tag an als Familienmitglied angesehen und herzlich aufgenommen. Mir wurden verschiedene Angebote offeriert, wie an einem kostenlosen Italienischkurs im Nachbardorf teilzunehmen oder zahlreiche Wochenendausflüge mit den Vieren. Die Kommunkation lief super. Auf Wünsche oder Bedürfnisse wurde Rücksicht genommen. Die Arbeit mit den Kindern hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Adele und Matteo sind sehr kreativ und haben viel Energie. Wir hatten viele schöne Momente. Egal ob beim Lesen, Hund spielen oder Versteckspiel auf dem Spielplatz. Es war nicht immer einfach. Aber das ist der Umgang mit Kindern nie. 😉 Das Ledrotal bietet viele Wanderwege für Erkundungen an und wunderschöne Natur. Der nahegelegene Gardasee ist definitiv auch einen Abstecher wert. Ich kann einen Aufenthalt bei den Cis zu 100% empfehlen. Es sind einfach super tolle Herzensmenschen bei denen sich ein Aufenthalt definitiv lohnt! Ich freue mich bald wieder für 4 Wochen im Ledrotal mein Zelt aufzuschlagen. Bis bald Alberto, Federica, Adele und Matteo!

Our stay with Clive and Lesley was absolutely lovely! The work they gave us was simple and pleasant, they showed us around their beautiful property and taught us about livong off gridd and safety plans. We learned a lot and enjoyed our time together very much. They were truly fantastic with us! Since we don't have a car, they took us several times to the train so we could go to Melbourne, shoes us a really nice italoan place, helped us shopping when we found a job and needed uniforms and even took us to a local car show, really cool! We had a really confortable tiny home for ourselves with a big communal kitchen next door, and, in the end of our stay, they where so kind to take us to the airport. Fantastic opportunity to know a new place, lovely people and feel like home away from home. Thank you so much ✨️🌻😊

Miriam stayed with us for 2 weeks, she was our first workawayer in our new home in Spain. Happily working alongside my wife on some ongoing projects in the house and garden, We both enjoyed having conversations with Miriam about her artistic life, and future travels. It was a privilege to host Miriam in our home, and would be happy to welcome her back. We can highly recommend Miriam to any future workaway host

A warm welcome after all the delays due to prolonged bad weather. I really enjoyed working with Trish and Ricardo. They are easy-going, and as soon as they see what you can do, you are allowed to go ahead. That is really what I appreciate. It was nice to make neglected walls, terraces, and a shed look beautiful again. Given their background, the meals were mostly of delicious Italian cuisine. Experiences were shared and doubts discussed, which immediately felt familiar. I will definitely come back here for some new jobs and the good times!

Staying with Dave and Nikki for two weeks really was a pleasure and a wonderful first Workaway experience, as they managed to make me feel welcome from the very beginning. Dave was very passionate and happy about sharing his knowledge, recommendations, and tips about travelling, sightseeing and farming as well. To say I learned a lot is an understatement. Helping out around the farm was quite educational and moderate as well (from collecting wood, over weeding, to herding cows). On the weekends the two of them took us on trips to lake Tekapo or the area to explore some more or go kayaking. Overall, I had a good stay and would very much recommend them to anyone who wants to have an insight in New Zealand’s farm life and create some life long memories.

We had a fantastic time here. Great place, great people, great food. Kerstin picked us up from the station and made us feel very welcome. We even got to see a puppet show :) The caravan is perfect for two people, big enough and the fire and blankets kept us warm (it was February so cold and snowy). The work was interesting as we got to learn about joinery and work in a small team. Kerstin, Lotta, and Paul were easy to get along with and a very kind and friendly family. And we had amazing food cooked for us everyday. It was also really nice to be in the countryside and feel the friendliness of the locals as we walked around. We only wish we could have stayed longer but we had to go and work in the city :( and would love to come back someday. A great time I would recommend to anyone as you have friendly people and also plenty of private space if needed. Vielen dank an alle :)

Barbara came to stay for only one short week- way too short because she was a fabulous guest. She is very positive and caring. Lovely company, easy going, clean and tidy. She was very flexible and always willing to help. We did some weeding and repaired some stone waterways.Her English is excellent and I would highly recommend her to anyone. Hope to see her again next time she ventures down under.

My time at Dan's house has given me so much. First of all thank you for the lovely big bedroom. The beautiful, always in a good mood, 3 Shelties; the three dogs were my pillar and guardians of love. I am missing them very much. And I even miss the one-eyed rooster who became my wise friend. All the other 15 chickens in many colours, behaving well during all those months. I remember the many storms and rains. It was a magical place. I have spent many hours on writing and creating my books. I really enjoyed the whole experience. It was my best Workaway experience. Thank you Kester for the guidance and the lovely contact with you Dan. Much gratitude and I hope to visit the girls and you again. Blessings x

Samuel is an extremely interesting and nice person. We thoroughly enjoyed having him here to stay! We will miss his intelligent conversation and easy manner. He was up for any task asked of him and was happy to continue with a job even when I was unable to work with him. He was brilliant with our children, interested in what they were doing and conversed with them easily (you can be sure that he is a good school teacher). He was up for anything and was able to experience a range of jobs from waterblasting and painting to weighing lambs. An avid outdoor enthusiast, he walked the Blue Mountains one afternoon. We would highly recommend Samuel for your next workawayer!

El mes que pase en el hogar de Alberto y Vida fue transformador. Soy consciente de que las palabras no van a alcanzar pero lo voy a intentar. Al ser mi primera experiencia de Workaway no sabia bien que esperar, y la verdad es que fue mucho mas de lo que hubiera podido imaginar. Ellos son una pareja preciosa, con corazones enormes y abiertos, dispuestos a dar lo mejor de sí en cada momento. En principio llegué por dos semanas, que al final se volvieron 4. Un mes entero en el que tuve la especial oportunidad de compartir con ellos como parte de su familia y de aprender desde cosas simples hasta más complejas y profundas. Por dar algunos ejemplos pude ayudar transplantando y cosechando plantas silvestres en la huerta, moliendo semillas para diferentes preparaciones, haciendo velas caseras con cera de abejas, cocinando e incluso búscando info por internet para ver como substituir el plástico presente en los utensilios con otros materiales. Desde los primeros momentos que conocí a Alberto la temática principal fue el Ayurveda, los doshas y todo lo relacionado con ellos. Y todavía sin conocerme me dio la sensación de que me estaba describiendo al hablarme sobre mi dosha, lo cual me generó mucho interés. Es un placer percibir la pasión con la que Alberto comunica con la clara intención de que uno entienda y pueda aprender. Podía estar horas escuchándolo. Me propuso hacer la dieta ayurvédica de 21 dias y acepté. Fue un desafío porque tuve que dejar de lado muchos de mis hábitos de consumo y debí priorizar horarios y alimentos específicos para mi dosha y los desequilibrios que tenía. Gracias a esto, dedicaba gran parte de mi día a la preparación de las comidas, tanto para mi como colaborando para el equipo, lo que me permitió aprender bastante sobre la nutrición ayurvédica. Cada comida era un momento de gozo total, en calma. Uno de los highlights era hacer tortas saludables, dulces pero sanas, casi todos los dias. No usábamos azucar y las íbamos adaptando según nuestros doshas para poder incluir alguna en mi dieta. No fue un proceso simple y hubo momentos desafiantes, sobre todo a nivel emocional. Los 21 días de dieta acompañados de diferentes terapias que me brindó Alberto representan una experiencia intensa, que vale la pena vivir. En la casa me sentí libre en todo momento de poder expresarme y compartir lo que sentía, me sentí comprendida y acompañada. Aprendí cosas concretas y ademas descubrí partes nuevas de mí. Los chicos tambien fueron flexibles para que pudiera encontrar momentos para hacer actividades personales lo cual fue clave. Disfruté muchas cosas que no esperaba. Además era un lujo estar cocinando o haciendo otra actividad y tener de fondo el sonido del piano mientras Vida practicaba. Fue un antes y un después para mi y aunque a cada quien le espere su propia experiencia, sin dudas la recomiendo para cualquier persona que quiera vivir algo especial. Por ultimo y para nada menos importante, fueron un apoyo gigante para que pueda concretar un tramite administrativo importante para mí y además me acompañaron a conocer el pueblo de mi bisabuelo, en una aventura hermosa hacia mis raíces. Infinitamente agradecida a los dos, por todo lo antes mencionado, por abrirme las puertas de su hogar y permitirme ser. Abrazos fuertes y hasta la próxima!

Lo pasé de maravilla en Finca. Gilma y Omar han creado un espacio precioso de paz y reciprocidad al que me sentí muy honrada de contribuir. Cada día era diferente: nuevas tareas, un clima distinto (!), nuevos dichos, o nuevos lugares para explorar. Además de nuevas experiencias, tendrás una rutina diaria que te hará sentir más saludable y con más energía que nunca. En Finca te cuidarán de maravilla. Gilma y Omar son de las personas más pacientes y comprensivas que jamás conocerás. Además de tus responsabilidades, tendrás mucho tiempo para escuchar el increíble canto de los pájaros y acariciar a las cabras (y chismear con Gilma y Omar) :) Recomiendo encarecidamente esta experiencia. Nour stayed with us this winter to help me with the puppies. I found her reliable, trustworthy, and kind and patient with the dogs, so I invited her to come back with her friend Linn to do some house/petsitting. My plans were to travel abroad, but an unforeseen family crisis forced me to stay home. Linn and Nour were very helpful, not only taking care of the dogs, but also cooking family meals and helping out where they could. They were both very supportive during a difficult time, and nice people to have around. In the two weeks they stayed with us, they travelled on multiple day trips with great independence, adjusting to the Flemish lifestyle, hopping on a bike to catch a train and enjoying it.

Anna and Hamish are great people and Grade A workawayers! Always gave their very best and have many skills. Welcome back anytime!
