--- House minding 2 Burmese cats and garden ---

I’m an Aussie born and bred and love where I live by the beach, bush and bays.
We are one and half hours drive north of Sydney, 2+ hours on public transport.
The community is more like a village and the area is very quiet, surrounded by nature. There’s are a few shops and cafes nearby as well as a community club with live music.
It is good for bushwalking, artists, birdwatching, fishing, swimming and surfing.

We live in a rural/urban area, surrounded by protected natural areas of bushland, waterfalls, rainforest and water ways.
We have a small but active community with events like trivia, music bingo, farmers markets, games nights, art shows etc.
Real world experience of life in an Australian suburban/rural community with access to Sydney’s city ammenities.

  • Help

    Help

I love to work on small projects around the property but I appreciate company and help because of painful arthritis. Lately I’ve been working on a small rock wall and recoating some timber trim. I grow a few things in my backyard so I’m often working on that too.
Some help with housekeeping such as meal prep and clean up, or folding laundry is also helpful.
Work is a maximum of 5 hrs, 5 days per week
Then you have 2 days off to explore the local area or visit Sydney or Blue Mountains.
Helping days and hours are flexible but generally Monday, Tues, Wed , Thursday and Friday.

I will work with you as I enjoy it. People who enjoy tackling a project and enjoy hanging out work best.

We are 1.5 hours north of Sydney by car. Public transport options vary.
You can get here via train to Woy Woy and a bus to Pretty Beach. Another option is a bus to Palm Beach and a ferry to Wagstaffe, and then a bus to Killcare Heights.

The public transport to Sydney is not 24/7 in this quiet location but everything you need is in walking distance. Local convenience stores stock essentials and the larger supermarkets will deliver.

The Wagstaffe ferry goes to Palm Beach and Ettalong or Umina taking only 15 mins during daylight.
Cafes are open for breakfast and lunch.

The area is known for bushwalking, birdwatching, surfing, swimming, fishing, and inspires many local artists.

The local club will show you a good example of Australian culture and live music on weekends.
