Description
I am an Aussie born and bred and love where I live by the beach and bays just north of Sydney with my husband and cats.
The area is very quiet and is surrounded by nature. There are only a few shops and cafes nearby.
It is good for bushwalking, artists, birdwatching, fishing, swimming and surfing.Types of help and learning opportunities
Gardening
DIY and building projects
Help around the house
General Maintenance
Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I’m interested in providing real world conversational English and I’m also interested in learning about other cultures and perspectives.
We live in a rural/urban area, surrounded by protected natural areas of bushland, waterfalls, rainforest and water ways.
We have a small but active community.Help
Includes gardening, general property maintenance or house work, eg weeding and mulching, rebuilding garden beds and structures.
Experience with power tools is appreciated.
Painting, small carpentry repairs like fascias or replacing decking boards.
General housekeeping such as vacuuming, or folding laundry.
Work is generally 5 hrs, 5 days per week
Then you have 2 days off to explore the local area or visit Sydney or Blue Mountains.
Work days are Tues, Wed , Thursday and Friday.
It’s convenient if you arrive on a Monday afternoon so we can meet and plan the week.
I will work with you as I enjoy it. People who enjoy tackling a project and enjoy hanging out work best.Languages

A lovely waterfront holiday cottage in an area popular for Sydney residents escaping the city.
There are bikes and a canoe, nearby tennis court, and fishing spots. The surf beach and National Park is walking distance.
Wi-Fi, aircon and fully equiped kitchen. Large tv, books and games. Cafes and convenience stores are a short walk away.
I live 5 mins away and work will be at either property. What else ...
We are 1 hour north of Sydney by car. Public transport options vary.
You can get here via train to Woy Woy and a bus to Pretty Beach. If you arrive late, you may need to get an Uber from the station. Another option is a bus to Palm Beach and a ferry to Wagstaffe.
There is limited public transport in this quiet location but everything you need is in walking distance. Local convenience stores stock essentials and the larger supermarkets will deliver.
The Wagstaffe ferry goes to Palm Beach and Ettalong or Umina taking only 15 mins during daylight.
Cafes are open for breakfast and lunch.
The area is known for bushwalking, birdwatching, surfing, swimming, fishing, and inspires many local artists.
The local club will show you a good example of Australian culture on weekends.
You’ll need work clothes, a hat, sunscreen and insect repellant!A little more information

Although she may appear shy at first, Emily is very friendly and even got up in front of a crowd and performed with me. It was great fun.

i really enjoyed the stay at Heidi's and Roman's. I loved to work with here and felt welcome since day one. We always had things to laugh about. The view into the sea from my accommodation was incredible beautiful.
Can't wait to see you again
