Eunice was of great help in the kids' academic field, she was always ready to help whenever the kids approach her. They had a very happy and memorable time spent together. As educators, we got got lots of common topics to chat and exchange. It was a great and valuable time that was full of new view and laughter as well. I wish that we will continue this bonding in the future.

Vanessa is a fabulous person to hang out with. She is easy going, enthusiastic and a hard worker. Her English is absolutely perfect. She was very intuitive, able to understand complex situations and even helped me problem solve. Vanessa was genuinely interested and cared about the work and our family. I highly recommend her for any situation within or beyond her skill set.

We had such a wonderful experience staying with Graeme and Lynne. They are incredibly warm and welcoming people who made us feel at home from the very beginning. The accommodation was absolutely lovely – a beautiful, cozy little house, thoughtfully and lovingly furnished, with everything you could possibly need. It really felt like a home away from home. The work was clearly explained and well-organized, which made everything easy and enjoyable. On top of that, we shared some truly great moments together – lovely evenings, delicious meals, and even a great evening out at the pub. We’re very grateful for this experience and would highly recommend staying with them! Thanks a lot for everything!!!!

I had a great experience hosting David and Manuel. They were kind, talented, and very easy to have around. They worked independently and with great initiative, showing strong practical skills. One of their main contributions was building a beautiful wardrobe using treated wood I already had — a solid and well-crafted piece that I truly appreciated. They also had a lovely, sensitive way of relating to the animals, and their experience (especially with goats) was very valuable. Beyond the work, they brought a lot of joy to the place. They are excellent musicians, and it was a real pleasure both having music at home and going to listen to them during jam sessions. Overall, they created a very positive atmosphere and were a pleasure to host. I highly recommend them to any host and would happily welcome them back anytime.

Ella stood out as an incredibly positive and enthusiastic volunteer. She has a genuine love for animals and showed great care and affection toward all the creatures on the farm. Her warm and friendly personality made her very approachable, and she got along harmoniously with both the team and other volunteers. Ella was always proactive, eager to take initiative, and worked with high energy and responsibility. Joshua - He was highly proactive, positive, and got along exceptionally well with all the volunteers. His friendly and approachable nature helped create a harmonious and supportive atmosphere where everyone felt comfortable and motivated. Joshua was also very organized, skilled at assigning tasks clearly and fairly, ensuring that all activities ran smoothly without any major issues. Together as a couple, Ella and Joshua complemented each other beautifully. Their dedication, positive spirit, and strong teamwork made a significant and positive impact on the farm. We are truly grateful for their valuable contribution and the wonderful support they provided to the farm during their time here. We wholeheartedly recommend Ella and Joshua to any farm or organization looking for dedicated, responsible, and uplifting volunteers. They would be a fantastic addition to any team, whether working together or individually.

I had a great experience hosting this German couple through Workaway. At first they came across as quite serious (in a very “German” way!), but very quickly they surprised me with their fun, open and playful side. We ended up sharing not only work, but also dinners, birthday celebrations, and many fun evenings together — lots of laughter and great memories. From a work perspective, they were excellent. Completely independent, reliable, and very effective as a team. They took initiative and handled tasks with confidence and precision. One of their main contributions was repairing and improving the bamboo bungalow for Workawayers, and they also worked on the road, doing a really solid and professional job. It was clear they have strong practical skills and know how to collaborate efficiently. They brought a lot of positive energy into the space and truly contributed to the family-like atmosphere we had during that period. I highly recommend them to any host. They are trustworthy, capable, and also great people to spend time with. I would happily welcome them back anytime.

I had the pleasure of hosting this wonderful couple through Workaway, and I can truly say it was one of my best experiences. They arrived by bicycle after traveling across Thailand, which already says a lot about their spirit and resilience. From the start, they proved to be responsible, independent, and very well organized. They managed their tasks with initiative and care, requiring little to no supervision. They also had a beautiful, natural connection with the animals, showing genuine sensitivity and respect. Beyond the work, we built a real connection. Together with other Workawayers during that time (including Denise), we created a warm, family-like atmosphere. We shared great moments, from daily life to evenings out enjoying live music. They are skilled, grounded, and full of interesting life experiences. Hosting them was not only helpful, but truly enriching on a human level. I would welcome them back anytime, with open arms, and highly recommend them to any host.

I had a truly special experience hosting Denise through Workaway. She is a psychologist, and her sensitivity and awareness clearly show in the way she relates to both people and animals. She took care of the house and the animals with great responsibility — often I would wake up to find everything already clean and organized, with food prepared for the animals. Her contribution was not only kind, but also very practical and reliable. On a personal level, we developed a very warm bond — at times it felt almost like having a daughter around. She integrated naturally into the family-like atmosphere we had during that period. At one point, due to unexpected flight issues, she found herself in a difficult situation and I invited her to come back and stay with me until she could arrange a new flight. I was genuinely happy to have her back, and we shared a few more meaningful days together. Denise is kind, trustworthy, and has a truly good heart. I warmly recommend her, and she will always be welcome here.

If Wence and Ximena aren't the coolest people in Chile, I'll eat my hat. These two are absolutely wonderful people to spend time with. They aer extremely knowledgeable, smart, and creative. You will undoubtedly learn a lot from the both of them and will have a great time doing so. I don't think I could have found better hosts to stay with.

When I think back on my Workaway stay with Claudia and David, the first things that come to mind are the chirping of crickets, watching of fireflies, and the view down into the valley and up the opposite mountainside. It was a wonderful time spent in a friendly atmosphere that Claudia and David and their lovely housekeeper Vicky create, with nice conversations, a few shared meals, campfires and Flecha and Pacha - lovely dog and cat. Of course, I also worked—I helped with finishing a cabaña (particularly painting). If you’re looking for peace, quietness and nature, this is the place for you. You have to be prepared to sleep a bit far from the nearest bathroom and power source (a flashlight is a good idea). The village has good shopping and dining options. The connections to Bogotá and the surrounding area are very good. Thanks for the wonderful time!

My friend Yade and I have been on a road trip with Jerry and his family for 10 days and we can’t express enough how thankful we are that they took us with them on this journey. Jerry and his wife are both very generous and kind hearted people, always keen on letting us have the best experience on this trip. We managed to go to Osaka, Kyoto, Kanazawa, Tokyo and Yokohama, which gave us a lot of impressions of Japan in general. We have been to Onsens, went to Universal Studios Japan, visited several main attractions in every city and were able to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom. Moreover, Jerry let us wear traditional Japanese Kimonos and Hakamas in Kyoto, which was a fun thing to experience. We also got to try a lot of good food and shared most of it so everyone could have a try. In every city we’ve been to Jerry went with us to several luxurious hotels and had me review their rooms in a short little video to show to a friend of him, who was planning to build a hotel himself. This was quite the challenging experience but it gave us an insight in a lifestyle we haven’t seen before. The kids had both a quite different character, Phillip (the younger one) being the more extroverted with a strong mind of his own and James (the older one) being a bit more reserved but very kindhearted. What they both share though is a huge interest in reading. Instead of playing on their phone they read in every spare second they had, which was very impressive for us to see. I myself had told Jerry that I harbour an interest in international business and finance, which is why he granted me the opportunity to accompany him in several business meetings and a visit with an ex-politician. I can’t be thankful enough for having had the chance to experience all that.

If there were an Olympic sport for volunteering, Ben would have taken gold, silver, and probably reorganized the medal ceremony while he was at it. Ben showed up at our hostel and somehow managed to become the backbone, front desk, social director, therapist, and part-time legend all in one. What really sets Ben apart though is his attitude. Always smiling, always helpful, and somehow always has the energy of someone who’s had 3 coffees… even when he definitely hasn’t. Guests loved him, staff relied on him, and honestly we’re still trying to figure out how one human can be that useful without being suspicious. Thanks for the good times buddy. You always have a place with us. Cheers.

We truly enjoyed having Emma with our family. She was a wonderful addition to our home. Emma is friendly, helpful, and always smiling – her positive energy really enriched our daily life. Our children loved spending time with her, especially dancing together, which brought them so much joy. We also had the chance to discover many interesting and unexpected differences between Switzerland and England, which made the cultural exchange especially meaningful. Emma is very independent and was always willing to learn new things and get involved. We especially appreciated her playful, cheerful, and easygoing way of interacting with the children. She quickly built a warm and caring connection with them. We are very grateful for the time we shared with Emma and can highly recommend her as a Workaway guest.

We spent a gorgeous 2 weeks with Simon & Adi who gave us the warmest of welcomes and made us feel at home instantly. Amongst many other new skills learnt, we were shown how to drive the quad bike, prune trees, roast coffee beans and introduced to a wide range of TV series! Simon and Adi showed such patience and enthusiasm in sharing their vast skills/knowledge. The food and drinks were incredible, and we had a cosy caravan to ourselves but were always welcome in the house! The warmest and kindest family, we will remember our time with Simon & Adi for the rest of our lives and we are eternally grateful to them for taking us in and all the things we learned from them!

What can I say, one month turned into four. This place is absolutely magical. Gio is building something pretty special here and it is a very welcoming environment. I got to meet Gio's friends who became my friends, the Sunday jam night is extremely fun and highly recommended. I had a few experiences here and met some people who all I can say is I was a better person leaving this place I am just glad that I was able to help in some way to help Gio build what he is building and I am following his adventures and progress on Instagram and cant wait to see his dream become reality.

Staying with Marvin and Ivette was lovely! My husband and I stayed for two weeks with them. We helped them weed their gardens, maintain irrigation systems, prepare grapes to make raisins and we had the opportunity to help them harvest grapes for wine production, among other tasks. Marvin an Ivette are a very generous, honest and fun couple. We enjoyed evenings with them having delicious appetizers as we watched the sunset, Ivette baked a cake for my husband’s birthday (super delicious) and we learned a lot about Chilean culture, history, wine production and we got to play croquette! We also got to eat a lot of pears, figs and plums from their garden. We would absolutely recommend this Workaway experience. They are close to Pomaire, which is a nice little town to spend one evening or two and transportation is easy to get to other places like Valparaiso, Vina Del Mar y Santiago. We had an awesome time and we learned a lot!!

I recently stayed with Sam and Heron for 10 days and had a wonderful experience. The accommodations were separate from the main house (about 1/4 mile walking distance) and were comfortable and plenty large. There is a wood stove for heat, and power is solar with limited appliances. A power bank was helpful which the hosts let me charge at their house. Kitchen sink is outside and bathroom is detached and has running water. Plan for 20 minutes for the water heater to warm the 5 gals of water, for showers, etc. It is very quiet and the night sky is fabulous when not cloudy. It is about 3 miles to the ocean. Meals were delicious and varied; the hosts put care into each dish and accommodated dietary requests. Most importantly, the hosts were warm, respectful, and welcoming, creating a friendly and homey atmosphere that made the stay enjoyable. The work expectations were easy and fair, and I left feeling grateful for the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a pleasant, Workaway stay. Albion is in a beautiful setting and close by car to many scenic areas.

Driton was very pleasant to live with during the 10 days he spent at our home. Easygoing, always in a good mood, active. Things were simple. He both paid attention to what I asked for and had initiatives as well as suggestions on how to do things. He did gardening, put a little fence, turned the compost, planted a few plants, repaired the bicycle, cleaned the windows ... Driton went to Paris several times in spite of the long journey from here. We also had interesting conversations on deep subjects. He didn't seem to suffer from the fact that I was by myself at that moment, so that he didn't meet other people through us, my husband being travelling and our daughter having just left home to her new appartment. He organised his own activities and acted as an independent person while remaining well tempered and sociable..
