My experience with Atilla was utterly amazing in every way. He is super friendly, kind and very clear with his communication. Any work is extremely fair and ultimately very good fun! I could not recommend Atilla and his charming place any higher, and if you are just starting out on workaway or you are unsure about giving it a go, he is the perfect host to start out with. My time there was truly a one of a kind experience, from working with the goats to drinking delicious homemade wine, from cycling through the Hungarian countryside to archery in the forest, I enjoyed every minute of it! P.S. Mazsi is the greatest dog in the world I already miss her!!!

Cosima is a dedicated and hardworking person. She takes her responsibilities seriously and always makes sure to finish tasks on time. She is knowledgeable, learns quickly, and brings great ideas to the table. I recommend her to any host looking for someone reliable.

I stayed with Jessica and Jeremy for three weeks in February and I enjoyed every second of it. They are both really sweet and considerate and the house overall has an extremely cozy flair. The tasks were never too much or too complicated to handle and I was asked multiple times if the workload and tasks I was given were alright. They also made sure I got out of the house, taking me for walks and grocery shopping. All in all, I felt really welcome and enjoyed my stay there a lot - I would recommend this experience to anyone looking to spend some time in a nice Australian suburb not too far away from the big city.

We feel very lucky that Chiara spent a month and a half with us. Even though she’s young, she brings so much experience, responsibility, and willingness to learn. She is self-sufficient, fast, and efficient, and we could always fully rely on her. Whatever task she was helping with, she did it thoroughly and with great care. On top of all of that, Chiara is simply a lovely person. She brings lightness and warmth into the space, uplifting the atmosphere and the people around her. She integrated beautifully into the team and was appreciated by everyone here. We truly felt extremely lucky to have her with us and honestly wished she could have stayed much longer. Anyone would be very lucky to host her.

Jovana took a lot of tasks from my shoulders - from garden work over cooking till construction / renovation tasks and taking care of my dog. In every field, she operates independently and brings in many ideas how to make the place more beautiful. Highlights are her Indian cuisine and the Yoga classes.

We stayed with these amazing people for two weeks and it was one of the best experiences we have had in our life. The host were just as amazing as the location, the works was more then fair for the place we got to stay at. A cute caravan is what we were able to call home in these weeks, and we absolutely loved it. If you want a place with great hosts, beautiful beaches and amazing scenery then this is the place for you. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

John Michael - the guy for every task. No matter what´s to do, JM will do the job independently and good. Finds a solution for everything. Knows how to operate power tools and machinery. Incredible Braai skills.

Best Workaway couple someone could wish for. Not only did they set up a website, social media, Booking.com, Tripadvisor etc. for my place, they also looked for further tasks independently, like piling up firewood. Swiss tidyness and work ethos combined with open hearts. Can recommend them 100%!

Eddy spent a couple of weeks on my farm. In this time, he attended several jobs, like construction, cleaning up, and general tasks around the house. Communication was sometimes a little tricky, but got better over time. Sometimes, he prepared delicious Turkish food for the whole team. We all like him very much and wish him the best on his adventure!

So my little Princess. Karen has just left yesterday having returned for a second visit with a third planned before the summer. Karen is a little shy to start but with a little care and time fully comes out of her shell. She is fun to have around, great with animals and can turn her hand to most tasks when asked. If you get the opportunity to host her I recommend you take the opportunity but be warned you will need carrots!! Give her a carrot and she will be your friend for life!! Cant wait to host her again she brings a certain something to a room.

Maja and Finn stayed with us for two weeks. They cleaned for us and took excellent care of our dog. They are both friendly, enthusiastic and great to have around. I wish them well on their travels and would love to welcome back if ever they are passing.

My 10 days in Anne, Peter's home was an real exchange. Thank to them I learnt a lot of thing (ukulele, New Zealand story, English, ragwort ahaha, about the nature...) i explored thank to them the area around. I felt comfortable there and always a pleasure to share moment together. I felt like home, and it was really appreciate as they trusted me. I spend lovely time with their kind dog Ruby. I have new friends in NZ to come and see. I recommend full full

A great experience to see the real heart of Thailand at a fantastic school. I got to meet lots of great teachers and students at the school and always felt part of their community, whether it be at the BBQs or events that they host. I really enjoyed the time I spent at the high school and was even inspired by the students. The accommodation was great with very few issues. I could take trips in my free time and see the places I wanted to go. Overall, it's a fantastic journey I'd recommend to anyone.

It was great to host Mei, and thankfully the rain stopped so she was able to work in the garden diligently - she was a great help.

Sammy! Having Sammy staying with us was the best decision we have ever made! He was a great house guest and fun to have around! Worked so hard in the garden which looks amazing now and did a great job cooking and helping with daily house tasks. The girls absolutely loved Sammy! Millie started seeing Sammy as her big brother and her transport. Sammy in the room, Millie needed to be picked up and carried around. Sammy trying to leave the room, Millie very upset. It was a beautiful thing to watch how she got to love him. We will miss having him around that’s for sure!

Our time with Ruby, Ross, and Harriet was absolutely amazing. They made us feel really comfortable from the very beginning and we are so grateful for the time we were able to spend with them. We got to meet their lovely friends and were able to use their car and camping equipment which made our time there even more fun. The bungalow was cozy and spacious and the food was so good that I even tried to learn the recipes so I can hopefully make it almost as well at home. The work was pretty relaxed and mostly consisted of cleaning, organizing and painting. We would 100% recommend staying with them! We hope to meet again in a few years and want to say thank you for the fun time once more.

Auguste is a lovely woman. She's got a great sense of humor and has great English language skills so was easy to hang out with and show her what needed doing. She loves animals and befriended both my cat and dog. I felt safe leaving them in her care. She also got my house sparkling and got a big pile of weeds pulled out. Auguste is easy to have in your home, 100% reccomend her.

It’s been a peaceful and relaxing experience here. The tasks are not difficult, and sometimes we can even join classes at the centre. I’ve met so many lovely people here. It’s been the best way to start my journey in Australia. :)

Hard to find the right words to truly describe this experience. A last-minute decision that completely changed my perspective on life ☀️ My advice: don’t join if your cup is already full and you’re not willing to open your heart and embrace the teachings or simply if you can’t wake up early in the morning. Don’t come just because it sounds cool to live with Buddhist nuns, or because you’re focused on having your own private space. Come if you genuinely want to live, and learn to live, in a community. A sanctuary of inner peace where no one is a stranger, where all beings are cared for with kindness, service, patience, respect, discipline and mutual exchange. Dr. Karma’s teachings are truly precious. Her life story is unique and inspiring, different from the traditional path. She is incredibly knowledgeable, with a distinctive and “simple” way of teaching that stays with you. Inclusive, understanding and genuinely devoted to enriching others’ lives through Dharma. Stay committed to the meditation sessions, even if challenging. Living mindfully will benefit you and all beings! Be patient with the animals. They are deeply loved and it’s beautiful to learn to love them in the same way. The days are full and meaningful, perfect for anyone who truly wants to experience this way of life rather than retreat into their room. There is plenty of amazing food, lovingly prepared by Sister (my fav part was tea time). The nature surrounding the house is breathtaking and makes you feel in harmony with everything. You’ll experience Malaysian and Punjabi culture firsthand. I was also incredibly lucky to attend the Gurdwara, to spend a few days with their family, so welcoming and kind, to live for a day with a wonderful Indigenous community and to experience a traditional Malay wedding. I leave feeling grateful and full of Love, that I hope to share with everyone around me. Thank you is all I can truly say to all of you for making me feel part of this family ❤️
