Dear hosts

My name is Karen, I've lived 25 summers on this planet up north in little Denmark.

I love traveling to foreign destinations and staying locally for a longer period of time, to actually get to know the people at the given place, and understand the place, its culture and history, and connecting with locals. Especially the Caribbean holds a dear place in my heart.

As a person I'm first and foremost very kind and sweet.
I'm genuine, down to earth and love having fun, real belly laughs are just the best. I carry a lot of warmth and compassion in my way through life.
I truly enjoy sharing perspectives and having conversations about life, philosophies, experiences and passions. It's very important to me that everyone feels calm and safe and contributing with respect and positivity, and naturally I always to my best to do so as well.

I'm a quick learner and enjoy learning new skills and always do my very best.

*:) Currently very drawn towards and interested in learning how to build stuff! Anything goes, as long as I can create/build it heh :) *

My interests are various (!) and naturally always expanding, but here's a quick little overview:
- Sewing
- Cooking, gluten-free baking,
- Video-editing, storytelling, communication, writing, writing, writing and writing some more :)
- Somatic practices, holistic health, such as somatic development therapy, shamanism, breathwork, psychology,
- Reading, listening to all kinds of music (afrobeat, dancehall, soca, "spiritual" music, RnB, pop, you name it just love music) singing, dancing, moving freely
- Beach-life, being in and around the ocean, maybe sailing?
- Animals- preferably with fur, I have quite a lot of experience with furry friends from guinea pigs to dogs to horses
- Nature, hiking
- And most importantly peaceful, genuine, respectful fun connections with the ever mysteries humankind

More details about my language interests
In Denmark we say someone has "language-ear", and languages, litterature aso was always my stronger side in school, so I'm definitely always interested in learning new languages. My english is quite good and I could probably teach some if the opportunity presented itself.

I can (besides what I've put as interests above):
Paint- Art, houses both inside and outside, help with gardening (which I'd love to learn more about as well) and as written above I'm a very quick leaner and love learning new skills so anything that isn't listed here doesn't mean i can't do it, just means I can learn it with some guidance from you!

- I've worked in the restaurantbusiness for four years. First as a dishwasher and later advanced into being a waitress
- The past years i've been working in a nursing home in Denmark.
- Besides that I've been an au pair in France for a year where i took care of the sweetest little boys, one of three years and a baby as well and I absolutely loved it!
- I also volunteered at a horse sanctuary in Trinidad & Tobago (Tobago)
