Description
We’re a young couple with two little girls. My name is Inne (originally from Belgium, moved here 4 years ago) and my husband Jack(kiwi), Lou 3 years old and Millie 1 year old.
We’re looking for an Au Pair, someone 25+ years old who loves spending time in the kitchen and entertaining kids! Preferably someone who has experience. Plus we have a veggie patch that can use some extra love if you love to spend some time in the garden when kids are at daycare.
We’re located in the beautiful port town Lyttelton, which has the great views, amazing walks and everything you need on one street. It’s a great place to visit/stay and explore.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Every Saturday there is the amazing farmers market down the road, where we mostly go to as a family, workawayers are very welcome to join and join other family outings if they’re interested.
We don’t really have learning project, but we can include you in our family and make you feel like you’re a part of it. The kids love spending time with others.
We love sharing stories and have fun conversations. We like to connect with other people.
Help
We would love some help with the girls in the morning before drop off at daycare and afternoon once they’re home again, also preparing dinners as we’re both working full time. During the weekends, you have lots of free time and are welcome to go away for the weekend or whatever suit you. We’re a vegan/vegetarian household so the meals will be 100% vegan. When the girls are at daycare and you like to help out in the garden, we have a greenhouse that need some love and some weeding that can be done.

At home we speak Dutch as a family but when someone’s around who doesn’t speak Dutch we will definitely speak English.
Accommodation
We’re offering a private room downstairs at the house with a queen size bed. We will be sharing bathroom and toilet, but there is also a wee living area downstairs that workswayers can use as their own when wanted.
We’re a vegan/veggie family and will provide for in exchange for helping in the house and garden. If you eat meat, all fine but we just won’t buy that.
What else ...
There are quite a bit of gigs and music events happening during the weekends down the road in Lyttelton. If interested in music.
Good climbing opportunities close by!
The bus is a 10min walk down the road and will take you up right into Christchurch town.
