Mona helped me for 4 weeks with my little son and she was amazing. My son felt really fast comfortable to her they both enjoyed the time a lot. Also I had a good connection to her and we spent time together next to the normal tasks. She is a really friendly, open minded person. :)

Der Empfang in Esporlatu, bei Uwe und Corinna war genau so herzlich und berührend wie der ganzer Aufenthalt und auch der Abschied. Ich bin wie durch ein Wunder zu Uwe und Corinna geführt worden und bin erstmal auf unbestimmte Zeit dort geblieben. Die Zeit ist sehr schnell vergangen und plötzlich waren drei Monate vergangen. Ich hatte in Deutschland Familie und Freunde hinter mir gelassen und habe Ähnliches im Haus von Uwe und Corinna , in Esporlatu getroffen und kennengelernt. Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit, wir haben sehr gute und tiefgründige Gespräche über Gott und die Welt geführt, haben viele Ausflüge gemeinsam unternommen, Karten gespielt, wir sind von einheimische Nachbarn zu ihnen nachhause eingeladen und sehr freundlich empfangen worden und das hat mir gezeigt wie gut Uwe und Corinna von den Einwohner in Esporlatu aufgenommen wurden. Wir haben über unsere schöne Gespräche viel von einander erfahren und lernen können und auch das hat mein Herz sehr berührt. Die Aufgaben und die Arbeiten im Haus und im Garten waren sehr vielfältig. Von handwerklichen Arbeiten, aber auch kochen, einkaufen, reinigen, sortieren, reparieren im Haus, oder Bäume einpflanzen, Unkraut jäten, Hecken schneiden, Oliven, Zitronen und rote Orangen pflücken oder Lagerfeuer machen, war alles zu machen und für jede Begabung und Wunsch vorhanden. Ich verlasse Uwe, Corinna und Esporlatu jedoch mit Freude im Herzen, denn mir wurde gesagt, dass ich immer und zu jeder Zeit dort willkommen bin. Ich kann jedem Workawayer , ein Besuch bei Uwe und Corinna in Esporlatu vom ganzen Herzen empfehlen. Ich wünsche für Uwe und Corinna, das ihre Pläne und Vorstellungen auch in Esporlatu in Erfüllung gehen und sie und viele Besucher ihr Projekt bald gemeinsam genießen können. Gerard was a great volunteer at 101 Wakepark.He supported the team with daily tasks, helped maintain the space, and interacted well with guests, creating a friendly atmosphere. Gerard was reliable, easygoing and eager to explore. We really appreciated his attitude and willingness to contribute. It was a pleasure having him with us, and we wish him the very best for his future travels and projects.

Julie gave me such a warm welcome, even for my short stay. I really enjoyed working together for cleaning the house. It was a fun process of trial and error! I hope I was able to help out. I also loved exploring the town of Brunswick. Highly recommended! Thank you!

I had a great two weeks staying at Stefs lovely farmhouse and can't wait to come back. I felt very welcomed by his lovely family, especially Conan the very affectionate cat! I was given freedom to choose whatever jobs I thought I could contribute the most to and chose mostly outdoor work (the weather was fantastic) - driving the tractor around, moving stones, and woodchipping sticks and branches. The food was great, I didn't miss meat at all. Stef makes so much from scratch, there was always fresh bread and hummus. I was sharing a room with fellow workawayer Vicente and we had plenty of space, it was great to meet and work with him too. Definitely come here if you get the chance, I can't have chosen a better first workaway experience if I tried!

Laura est venu avec 2 amis mais elle a montré une capacité de polyvalence extraordinaire. A chaque fois que j'avais besoin d'elle pour n'importe quoi elle répondait toujours present. Ce fut un réel plaisir de faire sa connaissance

She was friendly, courteous, and truly a wonderful guest! I truly appreciated how often she joined my English conversation sessions and gatherings with my friends. She shared so much with me and my friends about Switzerland, her home country, as well as Australia and Brazil, where she had lived for several years. As an experienced traveler and a very intelligent person, she had great stories and perspectives to share, and we learned a lot from her experiences. We also spent time walking around the city together and visiting museums, which became wonderful memories. Even after she left my guest room, she stayed in Tokyo for another two or three months and continued to join my English conversation sessions and spend time with me, my friends, and other guests. I was truly happy that she stayed connected with us for such a long time, and that made the whole experience especially amazing. We stayed at Ailsa’s home for the first two weeks when we arrived in Oz. Mattes and I couldn’t have imagined a better place to start the journey as the place of Ailsa. She is the most welcoming, generous person. Whether she bought our favourite sweets when she went shopping, sat with us at the table for hours in the evening telling stories, or let us borrow her car. Ailsa always made sure we felt more than comfortable. She showed us the beaches of Perth, treated us to a beer at a live music event in the pub, and helped us with all the bureaucratic matters, whether it was car insurance, TFN numbers, or bank accounts. We could come to her with all our questions. Recently we stayed at her daughters home. Feels like we become a little part of the family🌞✨ thank you Ailsa for everything

Sage stayed with us for the month of February. She really put her heart into the work, and it showed every day. She brought energy and enthusiasm to everything she did and everyone felt it. The dogs got so much attention and care and the horses were calm and happy with Sage. She truly cares about horses and has a good feel and timing in working with them. She picks up new things easily and is curious and open to learn. Together with the other workawayer here, Sage took full responsibility for our horses while we had to go away for a week. It was incredibly easy as I trusted fully that the horses were in good care and would have their everyday needs seen to. Sage, you were such a nice person to have around. We appreciate the time you spent with us a lot and wish the best for you in the future.

It was truly a wonderful two weeks. Even though it was the month of Ramadan and they had many commitments, they warmly welcomed me as a member of their family. Although helping with basic household chores was part of the volunteer requirements, they kindly told me to rest whenever I was tired. We were not very used to speaking English, but we talked a lot using translation apps. Since it was Ramadan, the time we spent at night eating sweet desserts with tea and talking about each other’s cultures was especially memorable. Osman is a very tolerant and funny father who spoke to me every day and made me feel included. Figen is a super mom who manages both her job and housework, and I looked forward to the meals she cooked every day. The children were also very sweet, and they were very happy when I taught them Japanese games like origami and kendama. They even took me to the elementary school, and I really enjoyed interacting with Turkish elementary school children. Thank you so much for everything during these two weeks. If I ever have another chance to visit, I would love to see you again.

We hosted Manuela for about two months, and it was a truly wonderful experience for our family. Her Japanese is very good, which made communication very easy and comfortable for everyone. She quickly became close with our child, Miku, and they spent a lot of time playing together. Manuela always played with her enthusiastically, especially games like pretending to be cats or playing “mommy and family.” Miku absolutely loves Manuela and was always very happy to spend time with her. Manuela is very capable and learns things quickly. Whenever we asked her to help with something, she understood right away and handled it well. She was very thoughtful and often noticed when we needed help, especially during busy or difficult moments. Her support was truly helpful to our family, and we really appreciated her positive attitude and willingness to help. During her stay, Manuela was also studying very hard every day for an important exam in Italy. We admired her dedication and discipline as she balanced studying with helping our family. We sincerely hope that all her efforts will pay off, that she will pass her exam, and that she will achieve her dream job in the future. We are very happy and grateful that we had the opportunity to host Manuela. She became a wonderful part of our daily life, and we will always remember the time we spent together. We highly recommend her to other hosts and wish her all the best in her future.

What a lovely and positive experience to spend 1,5 weeks with Majken and all her animals 🫶🏼 We enjoyed our different tasks outdoor, such as feeding the horses & chicken, cleaning the stable, cutting trees at the lake and cleaning the wooden terrace. On the days Majken was at work, we did farmsitting / homesitting and took care of her two dogs & three cats as well :) Also, we could participate in a crochet & knitting project: a colourful granny square blanket 🩷🧡 Majken is super easy to be around, welcoming & kind, relaxed & flexible, open-minded towards new ideas... we just felt at home 🫶🏼 We shared the cooking, enjoyed meals over good conversations and absolutely loved her self-made bread & buns :) Dear Majken, thank you so much for this peaceful, pleasant experience at your cozy place 🫶🏼 Luisa & Paula

I stayed with Ismail for almost two weeks and helped with simple tasks like sweeping the dead leaves away, wiping tables, taking care of plants and helping prepare rooms for guests. It was a very chill atmosphere. Because of Ramadan it was even more quiet in the neighborhood (expect for the mosque — be prepared to hear the call for prayer quiet loudly everyday). The nature is beautiful. There are several beaches only 20 minutes away and nice spots for hiking. Ismail gave me a lot of tipps of things to do in the region. I also went scuba diving. I recommend having a scooter to get around. It was a little difficult to find vegetarian food, as most places focus a lot on meat (but it was doable!). I left a few days early due to external circumstances that had nothing to do with the workaway. Ismail was very understanding about this. I definitely recommend coming here. However maybe it's better to come as a couple together, not as a solo traveler, because it is sich a quiet area.

This was my very first Workaway experience, and it couldn't have been better. From the moment I arrived, Rick and Kayley made me feel incredibly welcome and fully integrated into their daily life. It was fascinating to get a first-hand look at a lifestyle where sustainability and self-sufficiency are the priorities. Rick and Kayley were so open in sharing their journey and the path they have chosen, which I found deeply inspiring. The work was varied and always engaging. I helped with everything from sowing, weeding, mulching, and planting to preparing the beds for the new garden year and helped doing some 'land clearing.' Even though my stay was short, it was very intense and enriching. It was also such a joy to spend time with Martin. He is such a sweet, open, and energetic little boy! Thank you so much again for this wonderful time, your warm hospitality, and the delicious food. I truly enjoyed the inspiring conversations and the peaceful atmosphere of your home.

Oh wow.. where should I start? Viviana and her nephew welcomed me into their home from the very beginning as if I were part of the family. After I had to leave my previous Workaway host due to unacceptable conditions and poor communication, I spontaneously asked Viviana if I could come earlier. She immediately said yes and took me in. On my first day, her nephew took me to Messina so that I can see the city. Then I was invited to lunch, where I got to meet Viviana’s lovely daughter. Afterwards, we strolled around the city a bit more. We laughed a lot, talked about everything. Viviana is an incredibly strong woman, full of life energy, and she and her family became very dear to me during the ten days I stayed with them. It wasn’t until the second day that I started my work, which involved helping in the garden and supporting with the household! I am missing them already and I’m already planning my next visit to Sicily and hope to host them in Berlin as well. So, if you’re looking for a Workaway where you truly become part of an Italian family (and improve your Italian!!) this is the place: you won’t regret it for a second. P.S. The Staffy, Aren, is an absolute angel. He loves giving kisses, is already very well-behaved for his young age, and will love cuddling with you or accompanying you to the beach, which is just a four-minute walk away. 🥹 Grazie di tutto! Fantastic Workawayers! Competant and friendly in everything.

I loved my stay at the finca. Truly beautiful and important time for me. My main tasks were some light gardening (Wolfgang explained everything we had to do because we had no prior experience), cooking, keeping the apartment clean, making marmalade, guacamole, etc. Wolfgang is a very kind, helpful, and interesting person. There were usually 3 volunteers at the same time, and from 1 to 3 guests in the hostel. We worked only until 1pm and we had all afternoons and weekends free. You can hike, go to the beach, relax. Perfect place to slow down and just admire everything you see around. Almost always sunny :) Thank you for this opportunity!
