Our Experience at Isabel´s place was just simply AMAZING! We had such a good time at the farm, we planted lots of trees, like lots of trees, which was so cool, helped cleaning the river and collect wood, clear agroforest strips, helped renovating the guest house and had generally varying and fun tasks. Isabel is an awesome cook, we enjoyed a lot of meals together and Isabel included us in her daily life and the community of her lovely town. It´s just a 15 min walk from the farm to the town center where you can do yoga, eat awesome sandwiches at a friends bar, enjoy the market on Saturdays and there is a LOT of cultural activities nearly every day! Isabel has a lovely dog, a cat and the cutest pig, we will miss them all. Isabel is truly so kind and takes care of everyone helping her, considering everyone's needs, brings good music and vibes to work and ist just an awesome host! We truly know we gained a new friend in Isabel and will see her again soon. Thank you so much for EVERYTHING!

Had a wonderful 3 weeks volunteering out here! It was a perfect place to stay to take a break from the hustle of cities and backpacking. Anamé's home is tucked into the jungle, making it so peaceful and filled with sounds of nature. She provides many jobs that you can choose to do for your day, indoor and outdoor. It was great to work with my hands outside moving stones, digging up mud, and repairing the road! Thank you Anamé! I know it's your first time doing WorkAway, but you've done a great job taking care of us volunteers :) Also, Missie her dog is just the absolute best, I'll miss her so much! Thank you for all your kindness!

Victor and Sophie stayed with us for almost two weeks. They are hard-working, positive, humorous young people. They worked outside, pruned trees, chopped wood, weeded, and prepared delicious meals. Ernest and I will be happy to stay in touch with them now that they are moving so close to us. We wish them every happiness in their new home and homeland.

Abbiamo trascorso una settimana nella casa di Elena e Edelmo, due persone davvero speciali che ci hanno fatto sentire fin da subito parte della loro famiglia. La casa si trova nei campi di Futaleufú in un posto davvero magnifico circondato dalla natura. Il lavoro era principalmente manuale, nell'orto e taglio della legna, ed abbiamo contribuito anche alla costruzione della casa del figlio Alexis. Elena è una cuoca davvero eccezionale, sempre gentile e disponibile. È stata un'esperienza davvero magnifica! Grazie di cuore ad Elena, Edelmo e Alexis.

Teresa and Zaya have stayed with us for several weeks and have been delightful! Teresa has helped us enormously with some of our projects, and I've been grateful to have her help with meals - she's a wonderful cook! Zaya is a lovely young person, quiet, respectful, and helpful. Both Teresa and Zaya are super creative, and the house now has little artistic flourishes that we really appreciate. We enjoy chatting over lunches and dinners, exchanging experiences - Teresa's energy work is especially fascinating! We're learning a lot from one another, the dogs love them, and Peter and I are grateful for their visit!

Una experiencia como esta debería ser obligatoria para todos los seres de este planeta. Una convivencia ejemplar entre humanos y animales. Este lugar te invita a cambiar la perspectiva que la inmensa mayoría del planeta tiene sobre nuestra relación con los animales. Cuando me refiero a ellos, destaco que esta relación se da principalmente con mascotas y con los pocos animales con los que podemos interactuar. Tener una oportunidad de interacción tan cercana como esta con otro tipo de animales es un privilegio. Obviamente, todo esto es gracias a las 3 personas que realizan esta labor tan ejemplar, que son Ñaño, Ángela y Fafi. La bondad y la deliciosa comida que Ñaño prepara con amor, la curiosidad y la felicidad de la reina de las gallinas Fafi, que tiene una infancia consciente (y que todos los niños deberían tener), y el liderazgo de Ángela, quien tiene pasión y conocimiento por el cambio, son inspiradores y admirables. Hay varios trabajos a realizar y mucho por hacer, así que yo recomendaría que, aparte del trabajo que hay que hacer y que ellos explicarían, se vaya con una actitud de iniciativa por crear más cosas para que el proyecto se difunda y se amplifique con la página web, el Instagram y con difusión a través de campañas online e incluso en Melipilla. Siempre están abiertos a nuevas ideas. ¡Además, estaría bien que más gente le echara una mano a Ñaño en la cocina; él raras veces va a pedir ayuda! ¡Luego tendrás mucho tiempo de disfrutar de la piscina, de su compañía y de las conversaciones en la mesa! Los voluntarios con los que compartimos la experiencia también fueron un añadido superpositivo y divertido, un gran lugar para compartir experiencias de vida, compartir cultura y sentirte en familia :). ¡Buena onda siempre! Espero que todos los seres que pasen por aquí se vayan con una actitud introspectiva sobre la explotación animal tan colosal que ejerce el mundo en el planeta. Esta experiencia fue la mejor que nunca hemos tenido en un voluntariado; nos vamos con una familia para siempre de Chile. ¡Volveremos pronto! ¡Us estimem! Adriana & Manlok

Tizi and Davide were amazing hosts, and their children Mattia, Anna and Andrea are all so friendly and welcoming. I couldn't recommend their family enough! Their apartment is right in the centre of town; I had a spacious double bedroom with my own bathroom, and was cooked delicious meals every day. Bormio is a beautiful town with amazing skiing (some of the most famous slopes in Italy), and as I went in January/February and had lots of free time, I could ski almost every day. Tizi and the children speak great English, making it an incredibly easy experience, one that allowed me to feel like part of the family. I will definitely return to Bormio at some point in the near future to see them again!

It was a delight to host Tim - he arrived as a workawayer and left as a friend! Although he couldn't stay for long, just over a week, we managed to get a fair amount done, installing a water heater, a stair rail, lights, curtain rails and various fixings, among other things. He is great fun to be with, we had some good laughs, and his positive enthusiasm is truly contagious. He is flexible and dedicated, happy to work alone or in company, and once he starts a job he is dedicated to getting it finished. And despite the winter cold, and a few days without hot water, he bore it with a smile! I look forward to seeing you again Tim, you are always welcome - perhaps with summer warmth!

The week I spent in the lively and fun vibe was too short. Jesse is great company and has some great stories! There were a lot of activities going on like the yoga and a drum circle I enjoyed getting involved in. Also having access to guitars while I was there re inspired my love for playing guitar. My highlight was the awesome nature setting. The space is immersed in jungle, wildlife and the perfect River to get refreshed in. If you want to slow down and ground in nature or stay social and have a bit of community here is perfect.

My week at Clarissa and Darrells was full of good company and a great place to enjoy the unique nature of Tayrona! While working it was awesome I was able to find and contribute to tasks which utilised my skillset. Clarissa and Darell also helped me develop some new ones. When I arrived the pool was full and refreshing, and the views were ready to be enjoyed. Highly recommend!

My one week here turned into over two. The atmospheric views over the valley every morning were stunning. The sunset every night did not disappoint! Sebastian is a very chill man and the work is reasonable. In my very limited Spanish we were still able to laugh together. I would recommend this place if you would like to dive into simple living, calm your mind and enjoy tranquility of nature. You can’t escape being peaceful here! There are beautiful birds to listen to and look at. He also has some pretty great pets! It was the perfect place to finish 4 months of travelling - reading, writing and sitting in nature.

I had a wonderful time at this school. Thank you for your hospitality, for the discussions, and for the delicious meals. It was my first time teaching and it was a wonderful experience. Noah prepares the course content to give you confidence and the students are adorable and eager to do well. It's great because you also get the chance to teach all levels and ages. It was a wonderful experience. The children at Academy are very energetic and sociable. They welcomed me enthusiastically from the first day. The teachers were also very kind and communicated with me a lot. My host took me to many places. One of the most memorable experiences was when I participated in donating sanitary products and plants to another school a short distance from the Academy on International Women's Day. There, I was able to interact with many energetic children with promising futures. I don't think this is an experience that comes easily. I am grateful. In terms of daily life, I am satisfied with the delicious food and place to sleep. It was a short time, but thank you very much. I had a great time.
