We both had the most wonderful 6 weeks in Siem Reap, were so well looked after and made some friends for life. Training every day and helping in the kitchen and garden was so fun, and we’ll definitely be back! Cannot recommend this opportunity enough

Sérenna is a perfect volunteer, she is incredibly helpful, disciplined, easy going, respectful and hard working. She helped us for cleaning the barn, moving the irrigation pipes, walking with the dogs and cleaning. She had so much info about Turkey, it was very nice to talk her. The comunication was so easy with her, we are really thankfull for this. You are always welcome to our farm.

An insanely special place. The foundation is amazing and although I was only there for 1 day with the alumnos I got to see the final goodbye party before vacation and you can really see the connection and the love they all put in. Martin is incredibly generous and looks after you so well. A huge amount of volunteers which is also lovely and you end up becoming incredibly close very quickly due to the nature of the place. What a crazy place to spend Christmas and new years. Cant wait to come back. Abrazos culiua !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had an absolutely wonderful time at the hostel in Puerto Engabao. It was just the right mix of everything. The town itself is laid back and its super easy to get to know the locals and community. The manager and owner were super easy to get on with and communication was prefect. Working in the kitchen was fun. Doing the ordering and getting the recieps correct for the number of guests was a bit tricky, but a part from that it was a great task to have. Great sunsets every night whilst in the kitchen.

We greatly enjoyed our time with Leng during this year's harvest. She is diligent, attentive, communicative and observant when it comes to the work we did together. Her physical stamina is also impressive despite the demanding nature of harvesting sometimes. She got along well with the rest of the team while always participating in social activities generously, giving guidance to others and sharing her stories. She is a trustworthy person who showed genuine interest in our project and someone to stay in touch in the future.

Amelie stayed with us 2,5 months and it was a wonderful experience. She came as a young french woman with little experience in farm work, no expectations and no clue of what was ahead of her. When she left she had proven to herself and us that her potential has no limits and that life can turn in any direction in a split of a second. - That darkness is a friend where the Nothern light may appear, that gardening work is wonderful for mind and body, that wool is the best isloation you can have, that snow shoes is a briliant invention and that you will find true resistance in discussing meat/vetetarian diet with a young, stubborn farmer - to- become;-) We are so thankful for all the help, support and good company we got from Amelie. She painted, sanded, cooked, fed, digged, carried, waited, discussed, bathed, cared, listened, shared and kept good company. We wish her the very best of luck on her life journey.

Usmane stayed with us for several days during the recent holidays. We enjoyed getting to know him, hearing more about his experiences and travel. He was helpful, thoughtful, and kind throughout. A very positive visit!

I stayed here for almost two months and it was an absolutely amazing experience. I met so many wonderful people from all over the world and the team truly feels like one big family. They welcome you with open arms, make sure everyone feels comfortable and at home and are genuinely happy to help whenever you need it. They are also very considerate when it comes to food, especially for vegetarians. Clara, the cook, is absolutely amazing and was always happy and excited to try new vegetarian recipes or adapt meals. Additionally, David gives many great tips about La Paz and Bolivia in general, which makes traveling and exploring the country much easier. I would highly recommend this Workaway experience and would come back anytime.

Our oldest workawayer to date. What a great decision we made taking on Kerry (Kiwi ).His number one skill ? Organization and the motivation of others in to action Whenever we left to go out some where , we knew the tasks were being handled just as we had asked: he lead from the front , first into the brambles!! ,determined to get each task completed. It was refreshing getting his mature take on tricky spots, turning problems into quick, smart solutions. Stayed eight wonderful weeks...a huge help across various projects. Honestly, we miss you Kiwi. Come back anytime

What a pleasant experience I had working with Jack and Jasmine on our hacienda. They worked so well as a couple. They were very respectful, courteous, with wonderful personalities. Their creativity and ability to problem-solve really came in handy. I am grateful for the dedication and attention they showed in completing tasks (mostly landscaping, planting, and gardening). I am also grateful how they helped transform our hacienda into a more beautiful, functional and safe space. For this reason, I highly recommend this "power couple" to any host who wants intelligent, helpful, wholesome, cooperative, and overall awesome volunteers. I was really sad when it was time for them to leave as we shared so many fun and exciting experiences together, such as our New Years Day lunch. I wish this couple the best and they are always welcome back to our hacienda.

I spent one month in Cusco working on the project. My task was taking care of the orchids and other plants in the nursury. The garden is located on the hillside above Cusco just next to the Sacsayhuamán ruins. It's a beautiful place to be, filled with native plants and many alpacas to keep you company. Josemaria and his family were great hosts and I really felt like home. I had a chance to learn about the andean plants and the way of living in these sacred mountains. The work they do and their connection to nature is inspiring and I was lucky to be a part of it. Thank you!

Claudette did a great job at looking after the cats and the house. The cats seemed very happy and relaxed with her. Claudette has lots of energy and loves Cleaning so I’m sure she would be happy getting on with any job required of her. I admire her adventurous spirit and appetite to see new places. Good luck on all your adventures.

was an amazing experience. family is warm, caring, patient, and genuinely welcoming. rather, if you’d like to have knowledge-filled conversations with Evelyn about nature, cooking, meals, animals, geography, and many other topics, or cheers a beer with Sebastian for friendly, good company, or just play football/games with their son (who is, by the way, the friendliest kid you’ll ever meet) - you have it all here. now add to this the sheep, goats, donkeys, horse, Nino the dog, and the breathtaking Dolomites vibe… it’s pretty great here 🙂 Also, the room is really comfy if you need your own privacy sometimes. Highly recommended.

Trisha is such an amazing human, and her place is like something from a movie! If you are a creative, you would be so lucky to spend time with Trisha! I enjoyed just chatting with her during my stay, and she had the best recommendations! I did a little painting, watered the plants, some tidying, and some sewing! Trisha was so kind to give me new skills, and incorporate them into my work. She is good at communicating and learning what skills you have. I wish I could have stayed longer! Trisha and I also did some fun outings together like swimming, going to an art gallery, and going to a movie! The location is perfect, and was such a great home to have in Sydney! I am already looking forward to visiting again 💖

We stayed here for one month and had an amazing time. It was a wonderful experience, and we learned a lot. Our working hours were usually from 9:00 to 13:00. The tasks varied and included picking olives, cleaning and cultivating the fields, building stone walls, and cleaning the henhouse. Most of the work was not too hard, and we truly enjoyed it. Manuel is a very kind, open-minded, and flexible host. He always took good care of us and shared many interesting experiences and stories. He is also an excellent cook! We loved all of his dishes very much. The freshly pressed olive oil from Manuel's farm had a wonderful aroma and was delicious. For the first time, we were able to experience the true flavor of olive oil. We even cooked Japanese tonkotsu ramen together, which was delicious and a lot of fun. It was a great cultural exchange. We are very grateful for this experience and highly recommend staying with Manuel to other Workawayers. Thank you so much, Manuel! Nos vemos!!

I’ve been volunteering at this farm in Swellendam for over a week, and honestly, it has been a wonderful experience. The place is unbelievably beautiful — surrounded by majestic mountains, a peaceful river, and breathtaking views that make you feel deeply connected to nature. Every day feels refreshing and grounding. The farm is full of life, with plenty of horses and other animals, which makes the experience both fun and meaningful. I’ve learned many new practical skills here, and the work never feels boring — it’s engaging, hands-on, and often quite enjoyable. David, the owner and host, is very friendly, easy-going, and highly skilled. He creates a relaxed but productive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and learning by doing. His experience and calm attitude make the daily work smooth and enjoyable. And a special mention goes to his lovely dog, Alma — always sweet, friendly, and a real joy to have around. She definitely adds extra warmth to the place. Another big plus is the location. Swellendam is only about a 4-hour bus ride from Cape Town, with several reliable bus companies operating the route. Although it’s a small town, it’s peaceful, safe, and has everything you need — shops, groceries, and basic services. The accommodation provided by David is comfortable, and the meals are delicious and nourishing. Overall, this is a highly recommended Workaway experience for anyone who enjoys nature, animals, and learning in a positive atmosphere. Erdem

I spent 2 weeks with the family last November, I will never forget these people & this place. I felt welcome right away, everyone was genuinely nice, caring and generous. I loved olive harvesting and working in the fields, it barely felt like work with so much joy & "hoppyness" ;) I've learnt a lot, loved the amazing food cooked by Poppy, was inspired by the handmade & recycling way of doing things, and the nice opened talks. And of course, the olive oil, still addict even back home!! Penelope & Dimitris: thanks again immensely for everything ♥️ Angelos Madi Andreas Alkis and all the friends: happy to have met you & wish you the best!! Hope to see you all again in life :)
