    **ENGLISH VERSION**

    **Hello,**

We are Manuel and Laura, a couple living in southern Spain. Manuel started this project some years ago and has been hosting volunteers during that time, which is reflected in the Workaway feedback. Laura joined more recently, and now we are building and sharing this place together. Manuel is from Spain and Laura is from Italy, and we live here with our dog, two cats, and many chickens. We enjoy cooking, walking in the mountains, and sharing quality time with friends.

We are working to bring an eco-project to life on a beautiful 12-hectare farm. The land had been abandoned for 20 years, so restoring it is a big challenge—but also our dream. So far, we have renovated two houses, around 60 olive trees are already in production (out of about 400 on the farm), we have some fruit trees, and the land is prepared for starting the orchard.

We both speak English and have traveled and worked in many different parts of the world. Now, we are fully focused on developing this project and building a sustainable way of life here.

We love the mountains, and whenever we can, we go out to explore one of the many beautiful hiking routes in the nearby range.

We are looking for help with daily farm life: housework, orchard, garden, trees, construction, and general maintenance—there is always something to do!

The location is ideal for nature lovers: peaceful, surrounded by mountains, and perfect for hiking and disconnecting from busy city life.

    ## **VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL**

    **Hola,**

Spain in spring is truly beautiful, and having Granada, the beach, and the mountains so close means you can experience and learn a lot about the country, its language, and its culture. The Alpujarra is culturally vibrant, offering many opportunities to discover alternative and community ways of living, enjoy wonderful food, go on excursions, and embrace a slower pace of life.

The average working time per day and per week is flexible and can vary depending on what feels right for everyone. What we value most is respect, good communication, and a relaxed but responsible attitude. We appreciate people who can work independently, but also enjoy sharing tasks and moments together—people who take initiative, are adaptable, and feel comfortable both working alone and as part of a team.

We share one delicious meal on working days. We both love cooking and enjoy preparing a variety of dishes, often using local ingredients and, when possible, food from our garden and trees.

The farm is located on a hill, just a 5-minute drive (or about a 30-minute walk) from the village. Accommodation is in a caravan with a compost toilet, and in summer we share access to a swimming pool. There is no internet on the farm, which helps keep things peaceful, so it’s a good idea to have your own mobile data if you’d like to stay connected.

Life here is simple, close to nature, and follows a slower rhythm. We tend to wake up with the day, enjoy a break or siesta in the afternoon, and go to bed early. We occasionally share a glass of good wine and enjoy those small moments, always in a relaxed and balanced way. If you smoke, we simply ask that it’s done outside.

More than anything, we like to create a calm, respectful, and easygoing atmosphere, and we welcome people who feel drawn to this kind of lifestyle.
