If you're looking for five-star resort-style comfort, this isn't the place for you. At Jardin , you come to reconnect with yourself and nature. What makes this place so precious is the beauty of the rainforest and its people. I think it's sometimes good to forget about the things that distance us from our humanity. Here, you won't think about work texts or calls. Here, you'll find the person you truly are. The garden is beautiful, and the owners put a lot of effort into it. It's not perfect, but it's enough. Who can say they've stayed in the middle of the rainforest in a national park with endangered species? I wish Clarissa and Darren all the best, because you can't always pursue your dreams and go all in. The place offers glamping areas, or tents; it's sustainable and uses limited resources, so keep that in mind.

I had an absolute blast spending my time learning life in county Clare, Jo is a fantastic fiddle player and an experienced teacher. She do right by you if your interested in traditional Irish folk music. She helped me over come some learning pains with starting a new instrument and inspired us to continue learning. One day I want to be involved in a session at the roadside. The surrounding areas are beautiful but can be very wet and cold, however there is plenty to be done. I had a hand in gardening, DIY and a plenty of other incredibly unique jobs that needed to be done. It truly was an experience I wont be forgetting any time soon because the people you meet out there are wise, beautiful and full of character. It really is the best place to be for music, culture and a good chat!! Thank you for having us :) Liam

Staying here was truly an amazing experience. From the very first day, they made me feel welcome and at home. The work–life balance was perfect, and everything felt fair, relaxed, and well organized. The hosts are incredibly kind, generous, and genuine people. They introduced me to many of their friends, which made the experience even richer and more social. I stayed for two weeks, and by the end it honestly felt less like a host–volunteer stay and more like a friendship. The place where you stay is one of the most beautiful locations I’ve ever been — peaceful, inspiring, and a joy to wake up in every day. On top of all that, they have the most amazing cat named Killer, who definitely deserves a +1 on her own. I’m extremely grateful for the time we spent together and would recommend the place to anyone.

This is a great, unique experience and so glad I decided to go. Lots of action and opportunities to see Coiba National Park. The team there is super friendly and understanding, always there to help you out. Angela is like a mom, she puts your safety and comfort level at top priority.

Lenka and Marek have been absolutely wonderful guests and volunteers. They stayed with me for a few months over the autumn and winter, and having them around was a real pleasure. They were incredibly collaborative, helpful, and proactive, often taking ownership of tasks and running with them independently. I could fully trust them, which made day-to-day life much easier. On a personal level, they are very friendly, respectful, and easy to live with. They brought a positive energy and were genuinely willing to make a difference. They are great humans, and I truly loved having them around. I would welcome them back without hesitation, and any host would be very lucky to have them. Highly recommended!!

I loved my 10-day volunteering experience here. Pablo and his parents were always welcoming and nice. The work was light, consisting of helping with cooking and housework. Working hours were flexible and there was plenty of free time. I had my private bedroom in the volunteers' cabin, which also included kitchen and bathroom. The place is in a lush green natural surrounding with amazing views of the lake and volcano, a beautiful place to enjoy nature. It's close to Pucon and Huerquehue National Park which are great to visit. I'm happy to have met these lovely hosts. Thank you for hosting me :)

I loved my 1-week volunteering experience here. Jorge and Egla were always welcoming and nice. Work consisted of gardening 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. Working hours were flexible and there was plenty of free time. I had my private bedroom and bathroom, which was quite comfortable. Meals were provided by the hosts. The place is in a beautiful natural surrounding and 20 minutes (by public bus) away from both Pucon and Villarica which are great to visit. I'm happy to have met these lovely hosts. Thank you for hosting me :)

We will be forever grateful for the time we spend with David and Alex at the finca. We were looking for a Workaway where we could be useful and take some time to rest after more than 5 months cycling from Canada to México. This is exactly what we found, and more! Around the farm, on a daily basis, we helped with feeding the chickens, collect the eggs and picking the coffee. It could look different for every volunteer depending on the season. We had to be self-reliant to accomplish other tasks such as building supports to dry coffee and cooking some meals. I think a certain level of autonomy is needed to enjoy this Workaway and feel useful on the farm, especially if it's a period when David is less present (which was the case during the holidays). In return, we were given a room in a small private house, with a kitchen – a cyclist's dream!! David and Alex were extremely generous, sharing local cuisine with us and taking us on activities in the region. We learned a lot about Jalisco and Mexican culture while sharing almost all our dinner with them. The little town of Tepec is also an incredible spot to enjoy quiet Mexican life. There is everything you need at the abarrotes, fruterías and carnicerías within walking distance of the house. You can be very autonomous in shopping for food, or even in buying materials for projects. We really enjoyed developing a routine in the village! We will miss David, Alex and their dogs Pan and Hermes greatly. We hope the see them again in Montréal one day!

I can't describe how much I loved staying at Mirko's in Pichilemu. He took care of everything I needed. He even got me two bicycles (so I could go surfing faster:)) It felt more like house sitting, as Mirko was away through the weekdays. The work was very flexible - I could work anytime I wanted to, which gave me plenty of freedom. Also I loved the house! Such a magical little place with great energy. And when Mirko came on the weekend, I loved drinking beer with him in the garden and listening to his stories. He's a great person, super authentic and welcoming. He showed me a huge part of Chileno culture:) Thanks for everything!

Sigrid is an absolutely fabulous Workawayer in every way. As a person, she is approachable, respectful, a good listener, very easygoing, and has a great sense of humor to top it all off. In a very short time, she won everyone over in the family, and we wish we could have kept her with us longer. At work, she is conscientious, diligent, and proactive. Despite a knee injury, I never heard her complain about the sometimes physically demanding tasks she had to perform. She often went above and beyond what I asked of her. Her experience as a host is obviously a plus, but I would also like to highlight her skills in physiotherapy and general health. In particular, she led several adapted exercise sessions for my octogenarian parents. Thank you again, Sigrid, for being there for us during some difficult times. You are always welcome to join us.

We had the privilege of spending Christmas and New Year’s Eve with Manfred, Melanie, their beautiful family, and a lovely couple of Workawayers to say goodbye to 2025. They made us feel the warmth of a cozy home and a sense of closeness during this special time. We truly enjoyed staying in this beautiful place: walking around the area and having the opportunity to share experiences such as yoga sessions, creative spaces, and very interesting conversations around the table. We wish we could have stayed longer and taken part more in their projects. We wish them all the best, and we feel deeply grateful to Manfred, Melanie, and Chelly 🪻. With love, Bartek and Coni.

Luca is an extraordinary young woman who is kind, smart and spread happiness and joy. Having her at home was comfortable and fun. She is great with communication, has a positive attitude and a lovely personality. She is also an amazing singer and guitar player. So she will make your days sound good. I definitely recommend her ✨

Join a well rounded and sharp bunch of very dedicated dreamers and doers. Very tightly run, but also full of whimsy, you'll be sure to learn and unlearn many aspects of construction. Those with more building skills and those with less are applicable, from what I've seen, they both seem to thrive. For me, this is the result of a mature community culture which persists, and is able to find the best in each volunteer. Be prepared to work hard days (though not long), prioritizing safety and communication. The atmosphere is gregarious and busy, it feels like village life within a 21st century city in the most wonderful way possible. You'll meet some remarkable people and have a great time.

Nina was truly an incredible addition to our team - she went out of her way to welcome guests and encourage group activities. She's not just warm and friendly, she also is extremely proactive and could identify what needed to be done before ever being asked. We can really feel her absence now!!

It was amazing to stay with Milena and Matias. They have became my first volunteers to host from this platform. They are hardworking ,committed and skill full. our children remember their contribution in teaching sports and French language. Generally our experience with this couple was great and memorable.

I honestly wish I could keep this family all to myself. This was my very first Workaway experience, and I can’t imagine a better one. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel completely at home and treated me like part of the family. The room and the apartment were perfect, but what truly made this experience special was the people. Maira gave me so much freedom, yet all I ever wanted was to spend time with her and Munay. Luke and Maira taught me so much about their culture, their way of thinking, and their lifestyle. The island itself is absolutely stunning, and together they made this an unforgettable experience. Truly the best hosts I could have ever asked for ❤️

So I had the experience of working with Ms. Pax and Mr. Ron, and they were amazing hosts. This was my first time doing workaway, and I'll be completely honest, I was extremely nervous and wasn't sure this was the smartest idea, but after staying with them for a week, I knew I made a great decision in a host. Upon arrival, they greeted me with such smiles and hugs and immediately made me feel welcome. They even offered me dinner to eat. They are very welcoming, and they took very good care of me. After long, I honestly consider them my extended family because not only did I feel so safe with them, but I also felt like I was actually part of the family. They fed me, and they always asked me how I was doing and how my day was. Like for my first time doing workaway and being out in the country by myself, they really made me feel welcome, and I so appreciated them for that. Keep in mind that whatever hours you set up with them to do work, they will absolutely work you because they are always busy, so if you say you'll be willing to work 7am to 6pm Monday and Tuesday and would love the rest of the week off, they will accommodate you, but you will definitely work. You get breaks, but whatever your agreed hours are, that is what you are expected to do because work for them never stops, and I mean never. There's always something to do, so if you're willing to work hard but feel that love and support, then this is definitely the place. Once again, I had an amazing time for my first time, and after a while, it just felt like I was with extended family. Pax and Ron are amazing people, and as long as you are not lazy and you're respectful, then you would love to go here.

Lucia, Jakob and their family made us feel welcome from the very first minute. While they were away, we sitted their farm and took care of the animals, which was a really nice experience. We learned a lot about farmlife and got the chance to cuddle quite a few new born lambs. Together with the family we spent the most delicious dinners with interesting conversations, learned how to make candles and soap, played a lot of games with their 3 lovely and funny boys and just enjoyed living very close to nature. Thank you so much, hope to see you soon! 🫶🏼
