    Description

"Wind” in Croatian represents movement, identity and the connection between two oceans: the Pacific, where I was born, and the Adriatic, where my heritage comes from.
This project blends those two worlds through landscape, design, nature and cultural exchange. It is a long-term vision rooted in aesthetics, structure and intention.
This is not a commercial accommodation.
It is a private home and an evolving coastal project.
    The Spirit of This Place
This is a collaborative environment where both sides benefit.
I offer a safe, peaceful and well-maintained space near the ocean, along with cultural exchange and meaningful involvement in a growing project.
In return, I expect maturity, responsibility and genuine participation.
Volunteers here are collaborators, not passive travelers.

    I value people who:
    • Take initiative without constant supervision
    • Naturally respect shared spaces
    • Contribute energy and ideas
    • Appreciate aesthetics, order and cleanliness
    • Enjoy real cultural exchange in a shared language
If you are mainly looking for a base to travel cheaply and independently, this may not be the right place — and that is completely fine.
    Alignment matters.

    What You Can Help With
    • Landscaping and natural path creation
    • Garden care and plant health
    • Caring for bougainvilleas, papayas and native species
    • Simple carpentry (shelves, benches, planters, deck details)
    • Painting and light maintenance
    • Organizing creative and workshop areas
    • Photography and documentation
    • Proposing ideas connected to nature and outdoor spaces
4–5 hours per day, 5 days per week.
    Clear agreements and structured communication.

    Standard of Living & Cleanliness
This is a clean and orderly home.
If the house is impeccable upon arrival, it must remain impeccable during the stay.
There is no cleaning service and no one making beds for others. Each person is responsible for maintaining their room and shared spaces at a high standard.
    This includes:
    • Making the bed every morning
    • Keeping personal and common areas tidy
    • Cleaning the kitchen immediately after use
    • Avoiding bringing sand or dirt inside
    • Sweeping if needed
    • Leaving the bathroom and toilet spotless after use

Cleanliness, hygiene and presentation matter here.
    A well-maintained environment benefits everyone.
If this level of care feels natural to you, we will likely be a good match.
    Accommodation
Private room or small volunteer cabin depending on availability.
The property is calm, spacious and close to Punta de Lobos. You can hear the waves at night. A bicycle is available for exploring the area.

I often share local experiences and time showing the surroundings. Cultural exchange works best when it flows both ways — conversation, stories, ideas and initiative.
    Before You Apply
To maintain a high-quality and aligned environment, I host selectively.

    Please share:
    • Your available dates
    • Your concrete skills
    • Why this project genuinely resonates with you
    • If you have previous Workaway (or similar) experience, how was it?
    • What do you expect from this exchange?
I value clarity and honesty from the beginning. A good experience starts with aligned expectations on both sides.

References are important. An exchange is considered complete once both sides have left feedback.
Welcome to a place where the Pacific begins its symbolic journey toward the Adriatic.

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Travelers will experience a real cultural blend: Chilean hospitality meets Croatian soul in one of the world’s surf capitals.
You’ll learn about native plants like Carica chilensis (papayas), connect with locals and guests, and enjoy good food, slow moments, and the rhythm of the ocean.
The project is still young, so every small contribution matters.

  • Help

    Help

I need help with light painting, preparing outdoor spaces, gardening, arranging details, and assisting in receiving the first guests.
The project is about to open and will evolve in stages. It’s an inspiring, safe and respectful environment, ideal for those who enjoy peaceful nature, surf vibes and simple beauty.

This host offers a language exchange
Yes — I’m open to language exchange. I’d be happy to share my Spanish or Croatian, and I’m also curious to learn or practice other languages through casual conversation. I t’s not a formal exchange, but a natural part of the cultural connection.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Volunteers stay in a peaceful natural setting just a few minutes from the ocean.
includes a private room or a camping space under old cypress trees, depending on availability. The environment is safe, calm and well maintained.
Shared amenities such as the hot tub, outdoor cinema and stand-up paddle boards are available and are used responsibly, with respect for the space and others.
This is a private home in development, not a resort. The atmosphere and comfort are the result of collective care.

    Food & Shared Living
Breakfast and homemade meals are prepared with fresh, local ingredients.
Whenever possible, meals are shared as part of the cultural exchange. On days when I am not present, ingredients are available so you can cook independently.
The kitchen is a shared space and must remain clean and organized after each use.
This exchange works best when maturity, responsibility and reciprocity are natural on both sides.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There’s good WiFi signal, and even better offline moments.
    You’ll be surrounded by birds, rabbits, ocean breeze, and paths made of grass that lead to calm, open spaces. }
Nights are peaceful, with starry skies and the sound of the Pacific.
There are also many interesting places nearby — cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, public transport just steps away, local shops, strip centers, and moreThere’s the possibility to cook together or share recipes and kitchen spaces if desired, or simply enjoy an outdoor film, good music, reading time, or walks around the area.
This part of Chile’s central coast is full of quiet charm. It lies along a scenic coastal route surrounded by small picturesque towns, old saltworks, calm lagoons and wetlands. Every season, migratory birds stop here on their long journeys, giving life and color to the landscape.
If you enjoy simple beauty, kind people, and feeling connected to your surroundings — this place will welcome you.
    * You can practice kayaking, Stand Up Paddle, biking or surfing.
