Description
First we would like to emphasize that we are looking to host a couple or a small family. The house we are offering to our guests is just too big for a single person ...
We live with our daughter (13) in an historic (but very well renovated) mill in the middle of a forest. The next village is 2 km away. A small town with schools, shops, restaurants, etc is 10 km away.
The mill is a complex of three buildings, each with bath, kitchen, living room and bed rooms. One of the buildings is free for you ! The buildings are very close to each other, around a common area where we meet for community events. We have some meals together each week and once a week we have a meeting to connect to each other.
There is of course a small creek running through our huge garden.
We like our place because it is very beautiful, in the middle of the nature but still with all modern comfort, including fast internet.

Generally we are very flexible about the work you would like to get involved.

Accommodation
You will have your own little house with two bedrooms, kitchen, living room, bath with shower and tub, terrace overlooking the garden. The house is very, very close to the other two houses, basically it is one big building.
Your accommodation includes a kitchen and we ask you to cook your own meals. Therefore we only ask for 15 hours of work per week per person.
What else ...
Only 400m from our mill is a bus stop (about 10 scheduled departures each day). From there you get in 20 minutes to Kastellaun where you can do all your shopping and find a number of restaurants. From Kastellaun a bus can take you in one hour to Koblenz, a very nice city on the banks of the rivers Rhine and Moselle.
In addition to the bus we share e-Bikes which is super convenient to go to Kastellaun for shopping.
And finally, depending on your driving experience, we are open to lend out our family car for an occasional exploring trip to the beautiful Moselle-Valley or Rhine-Valley. Lots of medieval castles to explore within one hour of driving.
On most Mondays we will drive to Koblenz in the morning coming back in the evening. You are welcome to hitch a ride ...
We expect you to work only 3 hours a day per person for 5 days a week. But you will need to cook for yourself and buy your own food.
If you want to work more than the 15 hours a week, we offer to pay the additional work hours. Working more is optional and no requirement. Payment will be 15€ / hour.
We don't expect any payment from our guests.
