Hello!
Lenka and Marek from Slovakia here. We joined WorkAway in the summer of 2025 with the idea of changing stereotype, gaining inspiration and finding out more about people and lives in different countries and places. So far we have been to Cantabria, Spain (October-December 2025), where we did some small construction work around the old village house. Then we moved to Algarve, Portugal (January-May 2026), where we are taking care of goats and terace gardens on the goat farm. We would like to continue exploring during summer or autumn. Our preference is a long-term collaboration (months), but we're open to any opportunity.
We're together for 6 years. Both curious and adaptable, with a big interest in languages, cultures, and everyday life in different countries. Also, we enjoy spending time outdoors, cooking, trying new recipes, playing badminton, and taking care of animals.
I (Lenka) studied Baltic studies and worked part-time in a café. I think I'm a creative person, enjoying expressing my creativity in different ways — through writing stories or crafting. I often get lost in a good book, while also finding joy in listening to music.
Marek studied History and later worked in different companies. With an interest in computers and programming, he likes to stay active through sports and is always keen on learning new skills. His free time often goes into caring for plants, hiking, and playing guitar.
