    Description

    Hello!
We are Suzanne (a 3-year-old dog!) and Vincent, 55, a former works supervisor with almost always a construction or renovation project in progress.

My longest ongoing project is my "cave" in Andalusia. It is still off-grid—no water nor electricity yet! One day, with friends and volunteers, we will gather there between olive and almond trees to continue this fabulous project near a turquoise, desert lake (a no-wifi, yoga retreat).

I was born in Brittany, and I have been living for 12 years on the French-Swiss border, near Geneva.

I always need to be learning something new. My latest desires: writing a novel, creating short animation films, studying magnetism, and learning Italian and permaculture. I love traveling, landscape photography, and meeting people, but for the past 5 years—since my last trip to Cuba—the only way I enjoy traveling is by hosting people at home.

I enjoy writing, trekking, guitar, piano, learning about naturopathy, and off-grid building. I also have a "van project" for... one day.

I have several years of experience in flat-sharing, mostly with women. We have always found a way to respect our different rhythms and lifestyles, supporting each other while having fun on the weekends. We became close enough that I have even earned the status of best man at a wedding!

I speak French, Spanish (my parents' language), and English. I would like to improve my Italian, and to finish this presentation: I have been struggling with my guitar for years—it will probably help to light a fire one day! So for music, we’ll listen to the professionals on Spotify! However, for total beginners, I can teach a bit of music theory for guitar or piano, or even share some chess openings and tactics.

Beyond the work, I like my home to be a warm, welcoming place. I’m always happy to share a meal, discuss your personal projects, or enjoy the peace of the surroundings. Whether you are here to learn about construction, work on your own creative goals, or simply take a break, I am thrilled to welcome curious and independent people. If you enjoy simple living, authentic exchanges, and—of course—if you are not afraid of a few dog kisses from Suzanne, you will feel right at home here!

I hosted 3 Workawayers in November '21 and May '22 to help with a new studio and the garden.
What luck to have met Nassim (FR), James (EN), and Enrico (IT).
We’ve been in touch ever since and see each other sometimes, but no longer for work—it’s life-changing to have new friends!

With my next travellers, I would like to fix the barn (to install solar panels) and do some work in the garden (including fencing). Also, I want to prepare the terrace with a BBQ and firepit for autumn.

Suzanne the dog is very friendly and likes playing with her ball and frisbee. The house is located in a very quiet environment.

    Nice to meet you soon!
