Description
Hi dears!
ADVISORY : beautiful place for serious and honest people, humour necessary, experience with animals welcome.
We are Florence and Emile & we live in Broissia, a small village in Jura Region with about 50 inhabitants. We've been hosting workawayer for a while and then did a long break, right now we were thinking about solution to keep motivated by this heat and we thought : let's host workawayers !
So if you're ready, just send me a message.
here are = 30 chickens, 9 goats, 2 dog, and 1 donkey.
Currently we need help with a vegetable garden (watering/ weeding) and goats care (fence to built + milking + cheese making) and other kind of things around building (Emile is currently building his house).
I was travelling around Europe and volunteering in many projects, eco-farms, wwoofing, collective projects, education, etc. I also led youth exchanges, training, framed in erasmus +, so im quite used and passioned by intercultural exchange, human relations.
We choose this lifestyle to live in the nature, eat our own cheese, build our homes and host people from the world.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We look for trustful, autonomous, efficient and experienced workawayers
I look for people eager to learn and discover from our lifestyle, that is based on environmental awareness and degrowth. We enjoy people that has initiatives, that agree to work by its own as well than in a group. We greatly enjoy people with sense of humor.
We wish to share our home with people who agree to contribute as well and besides working hours by cooking, cleanup, getting the dry toilet bucket out, ... It's very important to us to feel that the everyday life missions are taken in charge by everybody.
I had many wonderful experiences with workawayers but also few negative ones due to lack of maturity and idealistic image of the rural life, so please detailed your application and we ll have phone calls to discuss further.
DEAL :
Usually we will ask you to help 20 hours over a week + shared daily tasks (cooking/cleanup).
BUT as the heat is so bad we think about proposal like working 10h/week and you contribute to pay the food/ or we eat separately. Let's talk about it.
We work everyday of the week (animals are not going on weekend vacations) but we organise so everybody can have days off. -

What else ...
The village is isolated from public transportation. 4km away is a small town with small shop, pharmacy, bibliothèque, second hand shop.
The house is nicely located nearby the river Suran where we like to swim in summer.
During your free time, you can hike around, enjoy parties or local events. For your trip around we have 2 bikes, a donkey and 2 packgoats. There's a local carpooling network. -
