Description
We are a small group of friends dedicated to organizing meaningful gatherings and activities that celebrate time investment rather than time spent. We seek like-minded people who enjoy helping and caring for our space, as much as we do, and are genuinely interested in becoming part of our team during their stay - and not just seek food & shelter - but want to create such abundance.
Our journey began with deep conversations and sharing time together, which naturally evolved into common cooking, dancing, playing music, and discovering passions. We aim to have a positive local and global impact while learning, practicing skills, and nurturing our interests and critical thinking.
Our core team is currently comprised by three people:
Ellie: our host, talented musician, playful yogi-actress-psychologist;
Lexi: the soulful, deep ocean mermaid poetess that translates magic into gentleness, and the other way around;
Allin: the logistic geek, artsy multiversed creative & manifesting generator (the main managing/driving force - due to his dedication, availability, experience & rooted ethics - he's the contact person/guide for the project as well as the main writer for the thread);
Maybe you're the next core ambassador/actor in our colectiv endeavor!
We need more driving forces to hop in! 😊
Our place is located in the old part of the town, near the sea (2-minute walk). It’s especially lively in summer, with access to concerts, traditional music, tavernas, parks, beaches, museums, and nature. We're excited to sometimes go on cute, small trips or share hidden local gems for your own exploration.
We value cultural exchange, diversity, safety, an open, welcoming environment and that's why we prefer connecting with people who are guided by Love instead of the Ego: people who choose consciously to NOT indulge in substance-consuming behavior/addiction or abuse (coffee, tobacco, etc.) or are willing to keep such habits/effects in private. Our goal is to promote sobriety through healthier, deeper ways of relating with each other and to foster a respectful, substance-free community.
In our shared space, we support and encourage cultural initiatives, small non-profit events, workshops, jam sessions, concerts, karaoke, spoken poetry, movie nights, clothes-swapping, and food-sharing.
We are passionate about co-creating an inspiring, refreshing environment and drive positive impact through our action <3
Important clarifications:
- We are not a business or for-profit; our focus is on kindness and community.
- All activities are voluntary—no one is paid.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Our Goal: Cultural Exchange and Learning
It’s all about sharing cultures, learning from each other, and creating a welcoming space for everyone. When you visit, we want to connect, share stories, and learn new things together.
We enjoy interacting with visitors—hearing your experiences, sharing ours, and exploring new ideas. We hope to learn about different backgrounds, traditions, and perspectives, and to build a community feeling where everyone feels inspired and enriched.
Our main reason for hosting is to open doors to diverse cultural exchanges and learning opportunities;Help
We are not professionals and we don't expect advanced level of help from visitors - just kindness and goodwill!
We are also experienced with volunteering, therefore we trust we'll be able to accommodate pleasant experiences and we have had great feedback from travelers and locals!
Although there is no regular schedule, we welcome adaptation, we communicate the tasks to do in advance and we flow with it through constant feedback, as we want you to feel included and part of the team on your stay here.
What we ask for is about 12 hours of assistance per week, and, in exchange, we can accommodate and, sometimes, share food and snacks.
You're welcome to create your own schedule and follow your own rhythm — there's no need to work fixed or imposed hours!
We Love Freedom & Harmony, but we also like to keep it not too easy going - there's a fine line to be kept in check: but we will have each other's back through feedback sessions, discussion and kind contributing attitudes!
The exchange is a flexible, easy going one, with plenty of free time and two main areas where we could use an extra hand with:
'The Spot Guardian':
- keeping the space tidy, cooking;
- creative DIY, fixing
- passion for plant/ mini-garden/ compost
'The Cultural Wizard':
- We are often writing, translating, researching and establishing communication/connection
we could use someone with interest/talent in these areas (big+ if you speak Greek)
- Are you enthusiastic regarding taking videos/editing, podcasting, writing stories and connecting with people?
This is also something you could help with!
Let us know in your message which part appeals more to you, or tell us what your ideas and excitement feel like!
We welcome new initiatives, creative proactiveness and inspiring energy!
This is a common, safe space and a cultural playground: what we do is basically playing fairly, learning and growing together!Languages

Accommodation
- Shared room, possibility to organize the space & create more options
- We can welcome and accommodate a maximum of 3 guests at the moment; (unless you have a tent or are an easy sleeper and don't mind finding an alternative arrangement);
- Warm/cold showers
- Our toilet flushing system is currently not fully operational and we currently use a manual bucket-with-water system! - a bit 'rudimentary', yes, but you're not a real traveler if you are not at least smiling over such a logistic 'issue'! ahahaha
- Half of the house is undergoing transformation/slow renovation - but it safe to Live in, in case you're concerned.
Our place is not luxurious, but rather - cozy and improvisational. If you're not picky and used to minimalism/creative & open minded, this place will fit like a glove you Love <3
How FOOD will work
- since the few days/hours expected, food will NOT be provided - but access to kitchen, fridge and cooker is of course available. We will of course share food & cook together - but we just can't pledge full coverage. We do not use/cook meat in the house - as we're mostly vegan with a pinch of vegetarianism. We prefer not cooking meat in the house, but if you must, then you can do so by using your own pan/pots.
Fun fact:
there are some bakeries and local markets who often giveaway food/fruits/veggies at the end of their working day - so it shouldn't be very difficult to make something of that.
Since we're not a business and our cultural mission is based on voluntary, intentional approach, (we are also volunteers) - it would be hard to support food expenses for our visitors entirely & that is why we chose to create a fair exchange, in which everyone has more time, space TO BE and less 'to do'!
We really hope you understand and appreciate that;What else ...
BEFORE YOU APPLY
Please try to contact us at least a week or two in advance - as we need to prepare everything + we need to make sure we are on the same page - we got a template message we use to forward to our inquiries that contain questions & topics important to our decision making. As such, we can not really operate with short notice approaches: we had a couple already.
Of course, if you are serious about stuff and presently involved, it can all be done in an hour or two, and we can sort the process and consider the application within 1-2 days: as long as you can hop on a call with us for a vibe check.
LONG STAYS: We prefer not to pledge of hosting someone for more than a week or two. We need you to acknowledge, agree and let us know in advance if you would like to stay for a longer period. And we need you to be ok with having feedback sessions and to not rely on a positive extension regarding your stay, after your original 1-2 weeks period is concluded.
THE PLACE & AROUND/TRANSPORTATION
Everything is within walkable distance: supermarkets, the Mediterranean sea, cooperatives, pubs, parks, and shops of all sorts.
The bus station is close-by for both city and outside city travel. You can rent bikes and scooters and find your way anywhere.
ARRIVAL:
On the day of your arrival, you'll have time to settle in.
Your volunteering/contributive journey begins the following day - flexibly!
For your free days, you can either:
- stay and do your own thing with respect to the other things happening at the place - we would kindly ask you to keep cleaning after yourself or have some involvement in the common process - basically don't just be a passanger because we are not catering for such cases :-)
- explore the surroundings, go for a trip? - there are nice, unpopular beaches, gorges, caves, and many other things happening. Get your tent or hammock and go wild! Just be safe and come back to share the good stories! <3
- join others co-creative processes, host yours!
You will have plenty of flexibility and time to either join or create amazing moments with both your free time - and with your active one! We can always adjust and discuss your contribution in order to meet all our needs and reach consensus. For example, let's say that you want to do your hours in 2 days and have 5 days off. It could be possible as we want to have a harmonious environment and go towards meeting each other's preferences.A little more information
