    Description

    We're a small group of friends (3) dedicated to organizing meaningful action, gatherings and activities that celebrate time investment rather than time spent. We seek like-minded people who enjoy helping beyond the basic care for our shared-space, and are genuinely interested in becoming part of our team during their stay - and not simply seek food & shelter - but want to become creators of such abundance.

    Our journey began with deep conversations & sharing time together, which naturally evolved into a common-living situation, with cooking, dancing, running, breathing, swimming, playing (music&more), discovering passions and intending to make/maintain a positive local and global impact while learning, nurturing and practicing our continuously growing spectrum of interests, skills and critical thinking.

    We have quite some cool people around us all, but, our core team is currently comprised by three people:
    Ellie: a talented musician, playful yogi-actress-psychologist;
    Lexi: a soulful poetess that brings about meaningful impact through outstanding gentleness;
    Alin: a connective geek, playful spirit & logistic wonder ( somehow manages to make possible of the impossible)

    ๐Ÿ˜Š Perhaps you could also be an ambassador/actor in our colectiv endeavor and help us weave even more tiv!

    If we can find ways to be bravely vulnerable and agree that humans can also be unnecessarily complicated creatures with puzzling egos, foggy minds and too often either lost or capitalistic 'hearts' - then, we would like to be outstanding, inspiring, yet decisive and keep clear from impractical encounters: hence, your inquiry will be challenged with far from average consideration, as we'll probe in order to see if we're on the same page or at least part of the same story-line, in order to move about doing things together.
    We reserve this selective approach in order to keep it smooth and relevant: we are getting so many messages that it is becoming quite challenging and had to refine our description and boundaries in order to make safety and relevance - possible.

    We're dedicated to extending the project and creating similar connective hubs, since safe, wellness oriented and ethically rooted spaces to meet, share, learn from and with each other are absolutely necessary: Hubs that are concerned with tinkering creative solutions to local and global issues and are collectively organized and supported.

    This December, our current, yet temporary base will undergo a massive renovation project with the entire three level stairways requiring professional restoration. That's why, here in the Workaway project availability, those next months after December are set to red, for now, as we're working on making them available, and either yellow and green.

    We're always on the lookout for long-term bases, so whether you're a stairway to heaven builder, or want to pitch in our global pioneering Hub set-up, please get in touch and tell us more!

    Our current base is a town house with four levels, a top terrace, balconies and a ground floor terrace/potential garden. Located in the old part of the town, near the sea (2-minute walk), this area is especially crowded during summertime, and mostly flooded with touristy consumer options. However, there's plenty of culture, tradition and gorgeous Nature to be discovered all-around. We're excited to often go on cute, small picnic/camping /cycling/hiking/climbing/ dancing/playing trips, or to share hidden local gems for your own exploration.

    We value cultural exchange, diversity, safety, an open, welcoming environment and that's why we prefer connecting with people who are guided by Love instead of Ego: people who choose consciously to NOT indulge in substance-consuming behavior/addiction or abuse (coffee, tobacco, etc.) or are willing to keep such habits/effects to a minimum and - in private. Our goal is to promote sobriety through healthier, deeper ways of relating with each other and to foster a respectful, deeply-rooted community.

    In our shared space, we support and encourage art, cultural gigs and initiatives, non-profit events, workshops, jam sessions, concerts, karaoke, spoken poetry, movie nights, clothes-swapping, and food-sharing.
    We are passionate about co-creating an inspiring, refreshing environment and drive positive impact through our action <3

    Important clarifications:
    - We are not a business or for-profit; our focus is on kindness and community.
    - All activities are voluntaryโ€”no one is paid.
    - Contributions, food, and donations are shared openly.
    - We believe in transparency, open communication, and non-violent dialogue.
    - We aim to reduce pollution caused by tourism and entertainment - by promoting sustainability, community, conscious living, and connection.

    If you are committed to change, innovation, mindfulness, love nature, and prefer a minimal, friendly and consciously-committed lifestyle, we would love to hear from you!

    Our Goal: Cultural Exchange and Learning

    Itโ€™s all about sharing cultures, learning from each other, and creating a welcoming space for everyone. When you visit, we want to connect, share stories, and learn new things together.

    We enjoy interacting with visitorsโ€”hearing your experiences, sharing ours, and exploring new ideas. We hope to learn about different backgrounds, traditions, and perspectives, and to build a community feeling where everyone feels inspired and enriched.

    Our main reason for hosting is to open doors to diverse cultural exchanges and learning opportunities;

  • Help

    Help

    We are not professionals and we don't expect advanced level of help from visitors - just kindness and goodwill!

    We are also experienced with alternative traveling and volunteering, therefore we trust we'll be able to accommodate pleasant experiences for our guests, having had great feedback from travelers and locals so far, despite no Workaway reviews - yet -!

    What we ask for is about 12 hours of assistance per week, and, in exchange, we can accommodate and, sometimes, share food and snacks.
    Although there is no regular schedule, we welcome adaptation, we communicate the tasks to do in advance and we flow with it through constant feedback, as we want you to feel included and part of the team on your stay here.
    You're welcome to create your own schedule and follow your own rhythm โ€” there's no need to work fixed or imposed hours!
    We Love Freedom & Harmony, but we also like to keep it not too easy going - for there's a fine line to be kept in check: but we'll have each other's back through feedback sessions, discussion and kind contributing attitudes!

    The exchange is a flexible, easy going one, with plenty of free time and two areas where we could use an extra hand with:

    'The Spot Guardian':
    - keeping the space tidy, cooking;
    - creative tasks, fixing, decorating, innovating
    - plant/herbs, mini-garden/ compost

    'The Outreach and Development Enthusiast':
    - We are often writing, translating, researching and establishing communication/connection
    we could use someone with interest/talent in these areas;
    - Are you enthusiastic regarding journalism, interviews, podcasting, writing stories and connecting with people? Or perhaps editing?

    Let us know in your message what do you find appealing and/or tell us what your ideas and excitement are towards and how they feel like!
    We welcome new initiatives, creative pro-activeness and inspiring energy, so bring it on!

    This is a common, safe space and a cultural playground: what we do is basically playing fairly, learning and growing together!

    ACCOMODATION

    - Shared room, possibility to organize the space & create more options
    - We can welcome and accommodate a maximum of 3 guests at the moment; (unless you have a tent or are an easy sleeper and don't mind finding an alternative arrangement);
    - Warm/cold showers
    - Our toilet flushing is not entirely operational: we currently use a manual bucket-with-water system! - a bit 'rudimentary', yes, but you're not a real traveler if you are not at least smiling over such a logistic 'issue'! :D
    - Half of the house is undergoing transformation/slow renovation - but it safe to Live in, in case you're concerned.

    Our place is not luxurious, but rather - cozy and improvisational;
    If you're not picky and used to minimalism creativeness, this place will perhaps fit just fine.

    How FOOD will work
    - since the few days/hours expected, food will NOT be provided - access to kitchen, fridge and cooker is available. We will of course share food & cook together - but we just can't pledge full coverage. We do not use/cook meat in the house - as we're mostly vegan with a pinch of vegetarianism.

    Local fun fact:
    there are some bakeries and local markets who often giveaway food/fruits/veggies at the end of their working day - so it shouldn't be very difficult to make something of that.

    Since we're not a business and our cultural mission is based on voluntary, intentional approach, (we are also volunteers) - it would be hard to support food expenses for our visitors entirely & that is why we chose to create a fair exchange, in which everyone has more time, space TO BE and 'less to do'!
    We really hope you understand and appreciate that;

  • What else ...

    What else ...

    BEFORE YOU APPLY
    Please try to contact us at least a week or two in advance - as we need to prepare + make sure we are on the same page: we got a template message we use to forward to our inquiries that contain questions & topics important in our decision making.

    LONGER STAYS:
    We need you to acknowledge, understand and agree that we will NOT pledge of hosting someone for more than a week/max two! Please do NOT make plans or rely on a positive extension regarding your stay!
    We are welcoming longer stays under certain circumstances: after your original 1-2 weeks period is concluded & feedback is positive, we could discuss extending your stay. We are honestly excited about finding similarly minded and active people, and of course, there will always be ways to make it work, when we find out we are working towards the same direction.

    How we deal with your requests and what to expect:
    Firstly - After your initial message-request:
    - a Q&A template will be forwarded to you for compatibility check;
    Secondly (if previous step successful):
    - a video or audio call in which we will go over the details, feel into it and follow up on previous questions/clarify/open up the conversation and reach the 1-2 week settlement

    THE PLACE & AROUND/TRANSPORTATION
    Everything is within walkable distance: supermarkets, the Mediterranean sea, cooperatives, pubs, parks, and shops of all sorts.
    The bus station is close-by for both city and outside city travel. You can rent bikes and scooters and find your way anywhere.

    ARRIVAL:
    The bus station is 5 minutes walk from our place, so we are easily reachable.
    On the day of your arrival, you'll have time to settle in.
    Your volunteering/contributive journey begins the following day - flexibly!

    YOUR FREE DAYS:
    - stay and do your own thing with respect to the other things happening at the place - we would kindly ask you to keep cleaning after yourself or have involvement in the common areas you're using - basically don't just be a passenger;
    - explore the surroundings, go for trips? - there are nice, un/popular beaches, gorges, caves, and many other things happening. Get your tent or hammock and go wild! Just be safe and come back to share the good stories!
    - join others co-creative processes, host yours!

    We can always adjust and discuss your contribution in order to meet all our needs and reach consensus. For example, let's say that you want to do your hours in 2 days and have 5 days off. It could be possible as we want to have a harmonious environment and go towards meeting each other's preferences.
