  Hello,
  
  My name is Emmanuelle, and my husband is Alexis. We live in Brussels with our cat, Diabolo, an old gentleman who is very affectionate.
  We are enjoying our new child-free life by travelling, but Diabolo doesn’t like being alone and also needs to take medication every day. That’s why we regularly invite Workawayers to come and stay with us for a few days or a few weeks, enjoying the city of Brussels while keeping him company.
  Brussels is a lovely city to explore. The neighbourhood we live in is central, lively, and close to many restaurants and bars. The museums are not far away, and the forest is easily accessible. There’s something for everyone :-)
  We are planning to be away for about two weeks, around the end of December 2026 / beginning of January 2027.

  Bonjour,
  Je m'appelle Emmanuelle, et mon mari Alexis. Nous habitons Bruxelles, avec notre chat, Diabolo, un vieux monsieur très câlin.
  Nous profitons de notre nouvelle vie sans enfant pour voyager, mais Diabolo n'aime pas la solitude et a également besoin de prendre des médicaments quotidiennement. C'est pourquoi nous proposerons régulièrement à des workawayers de venir passer quelques jours ou quelques semaines chez nous, profiter de la ville de Bruxelles en lui tenant compagnie.
  Bruxelles est une ville agréable à découvrir. Le quartier dans lequel nous vivons est central, animé et proche de nombreux restaurants & bars. Les musées ne sont pas loin, la forêt facilement accessible. Il y en a pour tous les goûts :-)
  Nous prévoyons de partir environ 2 semaines fin décembre2026/début janvier 2027.

  Alexis and I are both French. We have lived in several different countries, but have been living in Brussels for quite a long time now. Our children currently live in Canada and France.
  If you’d like, we could spend a few days together before leaving you with Diabolo, and take the opportunity to show you around the city.
  December is a wonderful time to experience Brussels’ Christmas festivities, with its Christmas market, the beautiful lights on the Grand-Place, and the various events taking place throughout the holiday season.
  
  Alexis et moi sommes tous les 2 français, avons habité dans plusieurs pays, mais vivons à Bruxelles depuis longtemps. Nos enfants habitent aujourd'hui au Canada et en France.
  Si vous le souhaitez, nous pourrions passer quelques jours ensemble avant de vous laisser avec Diabolo et en profiter pour vous montrer la ville.
  Décembre est un mois idéal pour prendre part aux festivités de Noël, avec son marché, les illuminations de la Grande Place et les différentes manifestations de fin d'année.

  Help

  It will mainly involve taking care of our cat: feeding him, cleaning his litter box, giving him his medication (pills and syrup), talking to him and giving him lots of cuddles. Cleaning around the litter box too, as he’s a little bit “messy”. Watering the plants. And enjoying life.
  
  Il s'agira essentiellement de prendre soin de notre chat : le nourrir, nettoyer sa litière, lui donner ses médicaments (pilules et sirop), lui parler et lui faire des câlins. Nettoyer autour de la litière, car Diabolo est un peu "messy".
  Arroser les plantes.
  Profiter de la vie.

  Nous apprenons actuellement l'espagnol et aimerions beaucoup pratiquer cette langue, afin de pouvoir communiquer lors de nos prochains voyages. We are currently learning Spanish and would love to practise the language in order to be able to communicate with people when we travel.
