    Description

Dear fam, my name is Richard, aka Richie. In 2022 I decided to quit my job and sell my apartment in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, bought a car and a caravan and made the move to follow my dream and live off-grid in Spain. After a year and a half of looking for a finca I finally found the right place in Terra Alta. It's a beautiful area in the mountains and its famous for its wine. My land is on the edge of a valley where there are good climbing spots, and el parc Nacional dels Ports, and the Via Verde cycling route are only 15 to 30min drive from the land. The closest city, Tortosa is 30min drive. From here you can get a train to Barcelona (2.5hrs) or Valencia (3hrs), and there is a busterminal from where you can get a bus to the village where my finca is. The finca is less than 1km from the village. And the closest beach is in El Perelló which is a 45min drive.

The land consists of many olive, almond and carob trees. It has access to water and there is one small shed. I have permission to built a house and a cistern. The first short term projects I would need help with is a compost toilet, shower area and a comunal kitchen/living room. So I'm looking for people who love to built in an ecological way and have at least some basic experience with construction. In addition, I'm looking for volunteers to help with pruning, planting trees, co-create and maintain a vegetable garden, amongst other maintenance needs. For the long term I'm looking for experienced people to help to design and construct an earthship and a natural pool.
