The current Manager, Jo, is leaving the property on 8 August 2021 and we are urgently looking for people to join our small team. Tania will be taking over management and many of the administrative duties, but she will require assistance from now until the end of September. You will be living on site, so housesitting and making sure the place is looked after. We need people who are not afraid of hard work and cleaning! Daily cleaning tasks usually take about 3 or 4 hours. These will vary from general cleaning (kitchens/bathrooms/, bed making, gardening (watering plants, cutting the lawns, sweeping the terrace), pool cleaning and animal care (we have two dogs who need walking and feeding daily and two cats who occasionally enjoy cuddles!). In addition, we pride ourselves on providing a warm welcome to all of our guests and this requires plenty of socialising! Although it is fairly easy work, it is not for the faint hearted. If you are squeamish about cleaning this is probably not the job for you!
In addition there may also be a few shifts in reception, checking guests in and out, taking payments etc, which is also a very laid back job.
We would like someone who can commit to a minimum of 2 months. This is work in exchange for accommodation and a small payment as a contribution towards food.
If you are interested please send us a quick message with the dates you are available to come and a little bit about you and we will arrange a video call to see if we are a good fit!
We would love to welcome you to join us.

Live in the center of Tuscany and get completely involved in Italian culture and meet many people from around the world and learn about their cultures. Most afternoons here can be spent in he pool or hammocks or walking our 2 beautiful dogs, and most nights here are spent drinking wine with a variety of interesting people. Its a great place to relax and take a breather from moving from one crazy city to another.
For guesthouse volunteers, all this is done while also learning how an operation of a guesthouse/hostel is run. And without paying for accommodation (Let's be honest, that definitely sweetens the deal!)
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
We have a guesthouse/hostel that is filled with world travelers.
We seek volunteers to work with the manager in the daily operations of the guesthouse/hostel. We are a small team that will work closely making sure the hostel is run effectively for the maximum of 60 guests that the hostel can hold.

Requirements we prefer for the job;
