  • Description

My vision is to create an « open space » on a non profit basis.

A haven where one could find a punctual base (without fee) for personal or spiritual retreat,

A residence for artists and seekers to foster Inspiration and creativity…

The land is gorgeous, one hectare covered with plenty of trees including figues,
olives, apples and has two houses (with a great potential but at the moment to restore)

One hectare and plenty of spots where to fit either wooden cabins, adobe houses, earthships, you name it !

That is my idea: build a few Bungalows or Tiny house when one can be when in need of peace or privacy, quiet for digging inspirations ...

For now (I am here since March)
The priority is fixing the ruins: one of a Home the other of a barn.

There is a wooden cabin set up under the shades
and am pretty advanced restoring one of the beautiful granite walled house.
    At this point
I need help to put the roof on the second half and fixing up the walls

The focus is on building a few structures
To be able to provide a bit of comfort for the coming guests !

    Talking music...

Bring your instruments, voice and inspiration.

We’ll surely be able to do some good jamming.

I’ve made a living as professional drummer and percussionist
In fact investigating ethnic percussions has been a thread in my traveling .
beside there are plenty of great players in the local community
we can go and visit and "Trade Five" LOL

By the way if you want to improve your languages skills

    I am fluent in
    Of course French

My Portuguese is being very welcomed by the locals.

So sure we can benefit each other language wise too...

You will be getting practical building knowledge in the process or from one of the numerous friends that drop by to give a hand !!

  • Help

If you are pro active and really fostering the flow of the place
I can offer you « pocket money » for The Days You’ll be Helping

If you have real efficient skills we can consider something a bit more consistant.

Reason is it feels normal to give a little help if the volunteers actually doing wholesome work .
equally a form to compensate the still basic conditions,
    On the other hand
Don't take it as a due...

At the moment am focused on making it happen meaning fix and build up a minimum structures so that we can turn to more creative or artistic activities.

    What else ...

On your free days you can go visit the Serra da Estrella (highest range in Portugal)

Or many of the Praia Fluvial.
Meimoa and Benquerencas have COLD water July and August included

Monsanto is a magical Old Hill Village of house mad with boulders.

    Several lakes around.

In fact most of the small villages have kept their traditional style and are an enchanting maze walking around.
