Description
Hi Folks.
Hosting travelers on a piece of land...
I have to say this is one the best thing I've got into.
You are welcome as House Sitters or helping out ( Volunteer) and sharing this wonder piece of land as a place to live close to the nature working to develop a way an "off-grid" life style.
I am Daniel.
These many years of traveling brought me near "Monsanto Penamacor "two years ago.
I got instantly mesmerised by the beauty and wilderness.
Creativity incentive mindfullness love for nature are the threads.
Bring your ideas, you can give a hand at gardening, maintaining the land at construction (learning quite a few trades in the process)
You’ll have a glimpse at how to survive off-grid without following the common thread but ending up in living in a « Perma" or « Eco » way very respectful of the environment, not grabbing too much resource from the universe or you want to call it from « mother nature »
We welcome House Sitters !
- Here is a description of what we expect of you as Sitters:
Take care of the land, bit of leaves brushing, cutting grass and feeding the cat.
That will not take you more than two hours maximum each week days and just relax and feed the cat on week end.Types of help and learning opportunities
Art Projects
Language practice
Help with Eco Projects
Gardening
DIY and building projects
Animal Care
Farmstay help
Creating/ Cooking family meals
Help around the house
House sitting
UN sustainability goals this host is trying to achieve
Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Bring your instruments, voice and inspiration.
We’ll surely be able to do some good jamming.
I’ve made a living as professional drummer and percussionist
In fact investigating ethnic percussions has been a thread in my traveling .
Beside there are plenty of great players in the local community
we can go and visit and "Trade Five" LOL
By the way if you want to improve your languages skills
I am fluent in
English
Spanish
Of course French
My Portuguese is being very welcomed by the locals.
So sure we can benefit each other language wise too...
You will be getting practical building and DYI knowledge in the process
or from one of the numerous friends that drop by to give a hand !!Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
