Description
We live on 115 acres of mixed bush and farming land near Gloucester, NSW. 1.5 hours north of Newcastle.
Our vision is build a syntropic, permaculture, sustainable property that can support community. Grow food, integrating animals to support the systems and live off grid.
It is a peaceful out of the way property 20 minutes from the nearest town in a gorgeous valley surrounded by an abundance of trees and nature.

We enjoy sharing our life and home with our guest, shared meals and conversation. Sharing our skills and knowledge about living off grid and setting up sustainable systems for the land and food. Learning about people and their passions in life.

Help
We are looking for help on our off grid property with nursery and propogation systems, food forests, and sustainable agriculture. Some tasks would be propagating seeds, cuttings, help in the nursery, shade house, seed saving, mulching, building projects.
Helping bottle our honey as well as everyday requirements such as helping gather wood and meal preparation. We also run bee hives and a queen breeding program, selecting genetics for varroa resistance.
Depending on tasks we will help together and autonomously. Work is varied depending on the season and what needs doing at the time.

Accommodation
For Workawayer guests we have a separate caravan with a deck and stunning views over the valley. It has a double bed and kitchen, camp shower and composting toilet. Our home is open to guests as well and we wish for you to feel comfortable and at home.
We can accommodate different food requirements, vegetarian or vegan as well.
What else ...
We are 15km from the nearest town, and there are no buses on our road. If you don't have your own transport we head out regularly for different requirements. We are nearby the Karuah River and barrington tops national Park if you would enjoy hiking, fishing or swimming. Your own vehicle is a positive but not essential. If you dont have a vehicle we will fo our best to accommodate travel plans and transport to public transport.
