Karl and Mareike were our first workawayers and it was such a wonderful experience! They are very warm and openminded people so from the beginning everything went really easy between us. As they had their own camper with them they were very independent during the day and we enjoyed having all together dinner in the evening.

… read more great job on our farm - we talked about the tasks and they did them on their own in their own time. We are totally satisfied with the results, they were diligent and it was always good to see that they had enjoyed working on the farm.
The three weeks went by so quickly and we really miss them here.
Best of luck for your future workaway experiences!! Every host will be really lucky to have you!

We have been staying with Petra and her family for three weeks. It was our first Workaway exprience ever and we couldn´t have had a better start. Petra, Tim and Mathilda gave us a warm welcome and we felt like being a part of the family. We always shared dinner together and had some interesting talks about how they came to Sweden, the swedish
… read more lifestyle and many other things. We worked 3-4 hours a day, so there was much time to pet the two horses, cuddle the cute dog and cats and enjoy the nature around the beautiful property. Although the next city was 20 km away, we didn´t feel isolated at any time. We liked to go to the lake nearby, walking and biking in the forest. Every weekend we enjoyed delicious cakes and waffles in a cute little café where Petra is working during the summer. At the beginning of our stay we got a To Do-List from Petra and were free to choose what tasks we wanted to do. Most of our work had to do with the horses which arrived the same day as we arrived. We created a new riding area where Petra could train the horses, cleaned the paddocks from big stones and dead wood, set up new fences and did a lot of cleanup around the property. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to come back one day. Thank you, Petra, Tim and Mathilda for having us and good luck with your future projects! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
