  Hello, future volunteer! So, you’re looking to swap the everyday ,do a hike, breath fresh air and good vibes? Welcome! We’re a small, lively hostel near Ella town on Sri Lanka’s stunning view area , and we’re always on the lookout for friendly, social volunteers to bring energy to our little slice of paradise.

  Our mission is simple: "To Create an Unforgettable Experience of a Lifetime for Each of Our Guests." Every day, we welcome guests from around the world, creating a family-like vibe full of laughter, stories, and new friendships. If you’re the kind of person who loves to chat, laugh, and make connections, you’re exactly who we’re looking for!
  
  Who’s in the Crew?
  We have a friendly local staff who love to work with volunteers. Our team is always willing to help the volunteers and they communicate in English. We won't consider ourselves as a cooperate business, means we treat our staff like family, we make sure the volunteers get the best experience and feeling of a friendly environment.
  
  We have around 5 payed staff members. Their tasks consist of working in the kitchen, daily maintenance to the dorms and property.
  As a volunteer, you’ll be handling Organizing events, helping with our social media and planning simple activities to keep the good vibes going. And most importantly, you’ll be mingling with guests to help everyone feel right at home. If you’re the type who enjoys chatting with new people and bringing smiles to their faces, you’ll fit right in.
  
  What We Offer
  
  We ask for up to 30 hours of your time each week, leaving you loads of time to explore around Ella and soak up the Sri Lankan mountain cool vibe. Volunteers get free accommodation in a sheered dorm,+ access to free breakfast and dinner

  Ella is a top touristic area in Sri Lanka. You will be surrounded by mother nature, with mountains that reaches to the clouds, waterfalls and hidden attractions all around the area. As a volunteer you will get the opportunity to meet new people, exchange experiences, knowledge and language and experience to live in a country abroad with it's own culture, language and food.
  
  Things to do in Ella
  
  1.Tea Plantations
  
  Ella is located in the mountain’s, known for its tea plantations. As a volunteer, you may have the opportunity to visit on a tea estate, learning about the process of tea cultivation and production visiting the factory’s.
  
  2.Cuisine and Cooking
  
  Sri Lankan cuisine is known for its rich flavors and many variety. Take the chance to learn how to cook traditional dishes by participating in cooking or sharing meals with us as we host family dinners occasionally.
  
  3.Exploration of Nature and Adventure
  
  Ella is surrounded by stunning natural attractions, including the famous nine arch bridge, Little Adam's Peak, and the Ella Rock , hidden waterfalls, view place’s Also, Volunteers can explore these sites, and consider participating in outdoor activities like hiking or bird watching. Nature is a powerful connector to local culture.

  Help

  🌴 **Position: Social Host & Guest Experience Volunteer**
  
  We are looking for a friendly, outgoing volunteer to join our team and help create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for travelers at our hostel in Ella, Sri Lanka.
  
  This role is perfect for someone who enjoys meeting new people, creating social vibes, and helping guests have an unforgettable stay.
  
  **Your Role (Social Host & Guest Experience):**
  • Welcome new guests and help them feel at home
  • Socialize with travelers and create a friendly hostel atmosphere
  • Join and help organize social activities (family dinners, games, sunset hangouts)
  • Help guests with basic local information and recommendations
  • Capture photos/videos and help with hostel social media
  • Occasionally support reception or simple guest communication
  
  **Activities & Social Events:**
  We love creating a social backpacker vibe at the hostel. Volunteers often help with:
  • Family dinner nights
  • Rooftop sunset hangouts
  • Small games or social activities with guests
  • Helping guests connect with each other
  • Taking photos/videos for Instagram
  
  Sometimes we also organize **small walking tours for guests** to explore the area together. Volunteers may help lead or join the group walk to **Little Adam’s Peak and Nine Arch Bridge**, helping guests enjoy the experience and creating a fun group atmosphere.
  
  **Example Weekly Schedule:**
  
  Monday – 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm (guest social time & rooftop hangout)
  Tuesday – Day off
  Wednesday – 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm (social host & dinner interaction)
  Thursday – 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm (guest experience & social media help)
  Friday – Day off
  Saturday – 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm (busy social evening)
  Sunday – 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm (guest interaction & activities)
