Description
We are a Russian-speaking family of three (Elena, Mikhail and daughter Vasilisa (5 years old). In 2023, we moved to Brazil and recently got our own place in the city of Palhoça. I (Elena) am a speech therapist by profession and teach children online. I can also teach adults or children Russian as a foreign language. My husband Mikhail is a React Frontend Developer. We ourselves previously stayed with hosts through the workaway service, and also hosted a guest when we lived in Azerbaijan (Baku). We have a spare room with a single bed, so now we are ready to open our profile again in order to receive guests and their help us in practicing English or Portuguese. Mikhail can speak conversational English at about an intermediate level. Mikhail and I have just started learning Portuguese. But our daughter Vasilisa already speaks Portuguese fluently and, of course, Russian. We would also benefit from the help of digital nomads (anything related to the development of educational games for children (design, development)). We would also be happy if native English speakers could play with our daughter in English (she does not need a nanny, as she attends kindergarten for half a day, but she has free time to play a little with our guests. She is very sociable, cheerful and inquisitive). We do not need such help around the house as cleaning from guests, but we would be happy if you sometimes cooked a dish from your kitchen. There are also pranas to grow house plants on our balcony, because it is empty for now. If you have experience in growing flowers and house plants in the local climate, we would be happy to help.
Мы русскоязычная семья из трех человек (Елена, Михаил и дочка Василиса (5 лет) . В 2023 году переехали в Бразилию и недавно у нас появилось свое жилье в городе Palhoça . Я (Елена) по профессии учитель-логопед и обучаю детей онлайн. Также могу обучать взрослый или детей русскому как иностранному. Мой муж Михаил React Frontend Developer. Мы сами ранее останавливались у хостов через сервис workaway, а также принимали гостя у себя, когда жили в Азербайджане (Баку). У нас есть свободная комната с односпальной кроватью, поэтому теперь мы готовы снова открыть свой профиль, для того чтобы принимать гостей и их помощь нам в практике английского или португальского языка. Михаил может говорить на английском языке разговорном примерно на среднем уровне. Мы с Михаилом только начали изучать португальский язык. Зато наша дочка Василиса уже свободно говорит на португальском языке и , конечно, на русском языке. Также нам полезна будет помощь цифровых кочевников (все, что связано с разработками обучающих игр для детей (дизайн, разработка)) . Еще мы были бы рады, если бы носители английского языка могли поиграть с нашей дочкой на английском языке (ей не требуется няня, так как она посещает детский садик на пол дня, но у нее есть свободное время, чтобы немного поиграть с нашими гостями. Она очень общительная, веселая и любознательная). Нам не требуется такая помощь по дому, как уборка от гостей, но мы были бы рады, если бы вы приготовили иногда блюдо вашей кухни. Также есть праны вырастить у нас на балконе домашние растения, потому что там пока пусто. Если у вас есть опыт выращивания цветов и домашних растений в условиях местного климата, были бы рады помощи.

We would like help for our family in language practice. My husband speaks English, but would like to improve his skills. It would also be great if you played with our daughter in English. In addition, we would be glad to help with our project on developing educational games for children (game design/development), if you have Game Design and Development skills. If you have gardening skills, growing house plants, you could help us arrange a green corner on the balcony. If you like to cook, we would like to try traditional dishes of your cuisine (but this is not often and is not necessary). I also like to cook Russian cuisine and could cook them in return for my family and guests.
Мы бы хотели помощи для нашей семьи в языковой практике. Муж говорит на английском языке, но хотел бы улучшить свои навыки. Также было бы замечательно, если бы вы поиграли с нашей дочкой на английском языке. Кроме этого, мы были бы рады помощи в нашем проекте по разработке обучающих игр для детей (дизайн/разработка игр), если у вас есть навыки Game Design and Development . Если у вас есть навыки садоводства , выращивания домашних растений, вы могли бы нам помочь обустроить зеленый уголок на балконе. Если вы любите готовить, мы бы попробовали традиционные блюда вашей кухни (но это не часто и не обязательно). Я также люблю готовить блюда русской кухни и могла бы приготовить их в ответ для моей семьи и гостей.

We live in Palhoça, a cozy town south of Florianópolis, in the state of Santa Catarina. It’s a great place for travelers who want to experience the beauty of southern Brazil but want a more relaxed and authentic atmosphere than the more touristy areas.

• Parque Estadual da Serra do Tabuleiro – a huge nature reserve with hiking trails, waterfalls and an amazing variety of flora and fauna.
