    Description

    Hello, Workawayers!

We’re a multicultural family (Franco-Indian couple) with a love for creativity, sustainability, and meaningful connections. Cécile works in a bank. A passionate music enthusiast, she loves to play and create music, and you’ll often find her experimenting with instruments or jamming in her free time.
Nishant works in e-commerce. He enjoys spending time outdoors, creating and fixing things, practicing yoga (when time allows) and Ayurvedic cooking. His love for wellness and nature is reflected in his way of life.
Together, we share a passion for low impact travelling though our cycling trips, workaways and embracing a low-carbon, non-touristic approach to travel. Having been Workawayers ourselves, we value cultural exchange and the sense of community that these experiences bring. Now, it’s our turn to give back by inviting others to join us in our projects.

We recently moved to a new home (in Conflans Sainte Honorine about 30km from centre Paris) where the main living spaces are ready, but the real adventure is just beginning. We're inviting enthusiastic, creative, and hardworking people to join us on this journey of transforming our home into a sanctuary of well-being. Together, we aim to build a sustainable and welcoming space focused on organic farming, permaculture practices, and shared experiences. It is a family home where we would like to continue hosting the workawayers and bicyclers.

Our cozy home includes our friendly dog Vadoo, who will surely add joy to your stay :)

    Our Vision
We see our home as a place to grow organic herbs, vegetables, and fruits while practicing sustainable and permaculture techniques with an emphasis on personal well being. Your help will be key in shaping this vision and building a self-sufficient, eco-friendly & creative environment.

    Projects You Can Join
    Winter Focus:
Indoors and prep tasks for the growing season.
    Activities will include:
Painting and renovating a room for the future workawayers (including removing the old floor and adding a new one).
If experienced, assistance in building a new bathroom is an option.
Preparing the garden for summer planting.
Side projects: weeding, creating compost, cutting hay, painting tasks here & there and spending some time with the dog ! :)
Setting up the basement as a cozy space for small gatherings, music sessions, and get-togethers.

    Spring / Summer Focus:
Time to head outdoors! Activities will include:
Starting a vegetable , herbs and fruit garden.
Removing unneeded shrubs and planting trees.
Continuing garden maintenance to support a productive growing season.
In the future, we want our place plan to build a wood fired sauna and outdoor shower, which will be a relaxing addition for both travelers and for us.

We cook or provide food (mostly vegetarian) and expect you to take part in the every day life of the house (taking turns to cook, clean etc.)

Our long-term goal is to create a space that goes beyond our family—a community hub where creativity, sustainability, and wellness converge. Here’s what we envision:
    • Gardening Projects: Expanding our gardens to grow a variety of organic produce, herbs, and fruits while exploring permaculture practices.
    • Wellness Initiatives: Hosting yoga sessions, wellness workshops, and Ayurvedic cooking classes to promote a holistic lifestyle.
    • Music Gatherings: Turning our basement into a lively music space for jams, workshops, and concerts.
    • Cycling Community: Building a network for bicycle enthusiasts, organizing eco-friendly trips, and encouraging sustainable travel.
    • Collaborative Living: Providing spaces for travelers (Workawayers, bicyclers) and locals to share skills, stories, and experiences.

    What You Can Expect :
A warm, family-oriented atmosphere with plenty of opportunities to learn and share.
Time spent with our lovable dog, who loves attention and outdoor fun.
A mix of structured tasks and creative freedom to contribute your skills and ideas.
The chance to connect over shared meals, music, and cultural / language exchange in a semi city setting.
Delicious meals—maybe if you want learn how to cook some Indian Ayurvedic dishes!
In free time, exploration in the areas around Conflans Sainte Honorine and Paris (which is around 40 minutes with a direct train). If you'd like to join us as a workawayer, please start your message with "Namaste"when you are writting to us. We do not own a car but the train station is reachable by foot (around 15min) and we can lend you a bicycle to explore the region.

We welcome people of all skill levels. Whether you’re a DIY enthusiast, a gardening aficionado, or simply curious about sustainable living, we’d love to host you. Let’s create something amazing together!

Drop us a message if this sounds like your kind of adventure—we can’t wait to hear from you! 🌱✨
