    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Our place is tucked away in Datong District, the historic heart of Taipei. It is the perfect base for independent travelers who love to wander through narrow alleys and discover the "old soul" of the city at their own pace.

You are steps away from Ningxia Night Market, where you can challenge your taste buds with authentic street food. A short walk leads you to Dadaocheng, where you can explore century-old medicine shops, trendy craft workshops, and hidden speakeasies. While you’ll have plenty of independence, we love chatting over coffee or a meal to hear about your daily discoveries and help you understand the cultural context of what you’ve seen.

The best traditional morning markets, the local temple architecture, and show you where to find the most authentic tea houses. If you want to learn about the daily rhythm of a Taiwanese neighborhood—from the chime of the garbage truck to the local temple fairs—we are here to be your cultural translators.

What We Hope to Learn: We value the "fresh eyes" that international travelers bring. We hope to learn about your world through your stories and photos. We are particularly interested in hearing how you perceive our culture compared to your own, and we love learning new skills, global recipes, or simply gaining a broader perspective on the world through our conversations.
