Description
We’re a family of four! Me (Marin 23), Kristian (28) and our two kids Boas and Maja.
Kristian works as an inventory manager at a fishing/ship company. I work two jobs. One which is a shop for national clothing, that my parents own and I work in the ambulance as a paramedics assistant.
Our kids are 3 and 6 years old. We’re social people, so you won’t have issues getting to know us and feeling at home.
We live in a small village, called Hvalvík in an old house from 1828. The house is built of the same materials as the church in Hvalvík. The materials came from a stranded “ghost ship”, there was no crew on board, so they used the materials to build our house and the church. We live here with our two children and our dog.

The Faroe Islands are known for their breathtaking nature. You’ll be able to go on hikes and meet our friends if you want. The Faroe Islands is a small country with a population of 50.000 people. It’s unique, safe and known for friendly locals.

Help
We’re looking for someone to help us with house renovations, if you’re good with tools and carpentry that’s a huge plus. Other than that we’d like someone to help with the daily tasks, make dinner once a week, tidy the house every day and walk the dog.
Vacuum, cook, cleaning the house, mow the lawn, walk the dog

Accommodation
We’ll provide you with your own bed
You’ll have access to our laundry room, kitchen, bathroom and livingroom.
We have two kids, so you’ll have to be okay with noise in the daytime.
We want you to feel at home in our kitchen, what is ours is yours as well. We work fulltime, so you’ll have the house to yourself until we’re off at 5 pm.
What else ...
It’s only a 5 minute drive to the grocery stores and the gas station.
Unfortunately we can’t borrow out our car since the faroese insurance doesn’t cover any damages. You can take the bus to different islands for hiking and we can help you find routes. There are also places to rent a car, but the easiest and cheapest is using the bus. The bus stop is only a 7 minute walk away.
There is a small swimming pool open in the weekends for free.
We’re up for a movie night and some popcorn if you’re in!

We didn’t have to make any lists of task, because she took on so many responsibilites without us asking.
She was good with the kids, made sourdough bread, cleaned, cared for our dog and always put a smile on our face when we got home. She even learned some faroese words, so she… read more

She accidentally posted a photo of my belonging on social media. Tried lying about stealing it. In the end she admitted her mistake and we got our item back ( value of 3000 dkk) when we texted back and forth.
We were really dissapointed… read more
