Description
Hello Volunteers from Around the World,
We are a couple, Angel and Mima around 65 years old.
For many years, we have been practicing organic gardening in our garden, and recently we decided to expand this dream into something bigger.
We purchased a forest with a couple of lakes. Made a big Permaculture garden and began creating a fully sustainable living space. With paid workers, we built a natural house using stone and mud, a second space for storage and guests — a cozy, hobbit-like home — and a small hut where we stayed during the building process.
Now, we would love to share these place with you.
We offer you the experience of staying in the hobbit house or the hut while helping us with daily tasks. Alternatively, there is also a regular house available in the center of the village.
The walk from the forest home to the village takes about 20 minutes. We also often drive up and down the off-road path.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We have travelled around the world while working on cruise ships and have had the opportunity to experience many different places and cultures. We truly enjoy exchanging stories and hearing about the travels and experiences of others.
We would also love to share with you some of the Bulgarian traditions we have managed to preserve, as well as our knowledge of permaculture, which we have developed over the years.
Help
We would appreciate support with our everyday tasks around the land and home.
This includes gardening and general maintenance, taking care of our chickens, dog, and cat when needed, as well as harvesting produce from the garden and preparing food preservation for the winter.
There is also some wood to be chopped and prepared.
In addition, we are continuing to work on the interior of our hobbit-style space, which is still in progress. Help with decorating and adding finishing touches there would be very welcome.

Accommodation
The Hut on the land is a one-room space with a double bed and a single bed side. It is suitable for a couple or a small group. It also has a balcony/veranda with an equipped kitchen, offering a pleasant outdoor cooking and living space.
The hobbit-style building is still in progress. However, if you feel drawn to stay there, the space is very spacious, with a constant natural temperature, so there is no need for heating or cooling. It is designed as a tall, open space with two levels. The storage area is located at the back, separated by a thick wall and a door.
Finally, we also have a regular house in the village, which is a space we have invested in. It has several rooms — approximately four bedrooms — and you are welcome to choose any of them. There is also a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom there.
On the land itself, we have an outdoor shower, and electricity is provided through solar panels and battery storage.
What else ...
We have a beautiful deep lake for swimming, as well as a swimming pool beside it. We use the water for the garden, so it is completely clean. We also go to the beach, which is just a 20-minute drive from us. You will have wonderful opportunities to explore and enjoy the beautiful areas around us.

A little more information

Internet access

Limited internet access

We have pets

We are smokers

Can host families

Can host digital nomads
We have unlimited internet on our mobile phone, which we are happy to share with our visitors. It also seems to work on a laptop, including for watching videos and other online use. However, we do not have a separate WiFi connection, so internet access is mainly available around the main house area.

Space for parking camper vans
We can discuss this together, as it may be possible. However, most likely it would be arranged from the yard of the village house, as the road uphill to the forest is a bit rough.

Can possibly accept pets
We have cats that can be a bit territorial at times. Our dog, however, is very friendly and social, and will most likely want to play with anything that joins the community.

How many Workawayers can stay?
