    Description

Welcome to Kunova – a small, peaceful village in eastern Slovenia.
Here you'll find our eco-friendly meditation center and farm, where we live in harmony with nature. We follow a sustainable way of life – using permaculture, organic gardening, and natural building. With care, we grow and dry herbs, which we happily share with everyone who visits.

This is a place of inspiration. Through mindfulness, meditation, and yoga, we invite you to rediscover life’s simple beauty. Every action we take is guided by respect for the Earth and its rhythms.

If you have a creative spirit, you’ll find our farm to be a space where you can add your own touch – and become part of the quiet magic that lives in this land.

Our mission is rooted in heartfelt contributions, as well as small donations for food. This allows everyone to experience this sanctuary without barriers.

To preserve the purity and peace of this space, we kindly ask you to refrain from using drugs, alcohol, and smoking.

Come. Breathe deeply. And join us in this oasis, where nature and mindful living gently weave together. 😊🌿

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Within our village, travelers will discover the beauty of a simple life, and the art of eco-building, woodturning, and other simple crafts. We offer vegetarian and vegan cuisine, harvested from our very own garden and the surrounding area. Our aim is to inspire a healthy lifestyle, so we kindly request that you refrain from smoking, drinking alcohol, or consuming any other substances.
Above all, we strive to teach our guests how to transform any task into a meditative practice, and to bring a new level of consciousness to every activity we undertake. In addition to these teachings, we also offer daily opportunities to practice yoga and meditation, for a truly holistic experience.

    Our Projects This Year

    1. The Zen Garden
This year’s heart project: crafting a serene Zen garden with bamboo arches, little bridges, and carefully placed stones—a peaceful corner to breathe and reflect.

    2. Hands-On Retreat Life
Roll up your sleeves and join us in:

Gardening: Tending plants, herbs, and wildflowers.
Eco-Building: Working with straw, clay, and wood.
Renovating: Transforming a classic Panonic house into a cozy guest sanctuary.
    3. The Grand Hall (Almost Ready!)
Our unique meditation hall is nearly complete, with a stunning Payalit facade—waiting to inspire quiet moments and gatherings.

    4. Arts & Crafting

Woodwork: Carve, sand, and create in our workshop.
Ceramic Mosaics: Leave your mark on the meditation house with colorful tiles.
    5. Building with Earth & Stone
Love clay or stonework? We’re building natural structures and would love your hands (or ideas!). Paving stone walkways also need care—each step a little work of art.

6."Project BAMBOO. This year we are sorting a larger quantity of bamboo and organizing it into categories, and we will also try to make quite a few products from it for the sales gallery. Welcome..."

    7. Create Freely
Paint, write, dance, or dream—this is a place to express yourself, in whatever medium speaks to you.

    8. Zen Path
This year, we also plan to complete our Zen path, which will connect different parts of our property. This means placing stones, lanterns, and creating small restful corners along the way – peaceful spots where you can pause, breathe, and simply be.

    Why It’s Special
Every task here—whether stacking stones or teaching a language—weaves into the same vision: a harmonious haven built by many hands. Come add your thread!

This version keeps your projects clear and inviting, with a gentle rhythm. Let me know if you’d like any tweaks! 🌸✨

P.S. No pressure on skills—just bring curiosity and a willing heart!

We have a dedicated space for volunteers, where up to six individuals may stay. For couples seeking a more intimate experience, we offer a small, rustic cabin with a breathtaking view, nestled amidst the natural beauty that surrounds us. For those who prefer the simplicity of camping, we also have ample space for tents.

And as if that wasn't enough, we are currently in the process of constructing two charming huts, set to be completed by the month of June. So no matter your preference, we offer a variety of accommodations to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
