    Description

Hi there! We are a family of four, myself and my partner and our two young children (also 5 chickens and a rabbit named Benji). We have a lovely garden with lots of native birds, a pool and beautiful country behind the house for long bush walks. I work part time as a nurse/midwife and my partner works full time as a lawyer at a free legal service. We would be able to provide a bicycle as we live about 5km from the town centre. We love camping and exploring the region with friends which a work away person would be welcome to join if they wanted :)

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We would love to include our workawayers on camping, hiking and waterhole trips so they can experience the region off the beaten track. We can also link them into events on around the town and give advice on beautiful/fun places to visit in the region. My partner and I have both travelled widely but always love the chance to welcome people into our home and hopefully meet people from countries we’ve yet to visit to get recommendations of our own!

  • Help

    Help

We have a lot of projects around the house and in the garden but not a lot of time because of the little ones. These projects include weeding, painting, tending to the vegetable garden and compost, creating play areas for the kids using recycled wood and potentially some day to day help with some cleaning around the house. Some of the projects we would be doing together and some would be left to the individual to do whilst we take the kids out for the day.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Workawayers would stay in our house with us but have their own room with a queen bed and bathroom. They would be welcome to eat meals with us or on their own if needing some quiet time. My partner is celiac so we are a gluten free household to prevent any accidental cross contamination in the kitchen area and often eat vegetarian though not exclusively.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There are plenty of walks and bike trails near us plus we live very close to the desert park where they can see lots of native wildlife including kangaroos, dingoes, emus and reptiles.

As we have young children we would ask that people who stay with us do not have late nights out during their stay or if they would like to have late nights that they stay with other friends they meet whilst in town.
