Description
We are a family of 5 (53, 49, 17, 14, 13 years old) with a friendly house dog and rabbit living on a large rural, hilly 140 Hectare shared property with 1.5 Km of private pristine Brogo river frontage and lots of beautiful forested walking areas and views that are simply spectacular. We share this property with 2 other families who live within close proximity to us.
We are about a 35min drive to some of the best beaches on the south coast of NSW and the small beachside town of Bermagui is our local goto town with some great cafes and restaurants, a pub, a health food shop and a Woolies Supermarket. Cobargo township is 20 minutes away with a general store, post office, pub, mechanic, some local craft shops and a couple of great cafes. Bega town is 45 min away which has many other larger town services.
There are lots of great walking tracks through some beautiful National Parks in the area along gorgeous beaches and rivers. Fantastic surf breaks and some awesome fishing and diving spots.
Back on our property, we would like some help around the house with gardening, tidying up and some building and maintenance tasks. Adrian is a Natural Beekeeper and we often work with bees in spring and summer. We grow trees for future harvesting so if you have some experience in or would like to learn about Agroforestry some help pruning trees would be appreciated. We also have a mobile timber mill and often cut our own timber logs for building material, help with the mill would be great!Types of help and learning opportunities

Stefani is originally from Berlin, our kids speak fluent German. We try to eat mostly organic food and we hunt for most of our meat (venison) off our property. Stefani practices yoga, is involved in womans work and womans circles and meditates most days. Adrian runs mens camps and takes teenage boys through mens initiation ceremonies at certain times of the year, he is one of Australia's best known Natural beekeeping teachers and tends bees in Kenyan top bar hives and is happy to share some of his knowledge with workawayers. There is an established aboriginal sacred site on the property which is still used for ceremony at certain times of the year.
A local shamanic practitioner runs sweat lodges and vision quests on our land from time to time and workawayers would be welcome to attend if they wish. We have a very strong connection to this land and would appreciate folk who have an open mind to the tasks we do in these areas.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
I'm currently looking for help with preparing a vegie garden site, pruning some fruit trees, planting trees, building some shelving and cupboards in our home, collecting firewood, milling timber logs etc. We will be together on most of these project but I would also like to be able to have someone that will be able to take on a task on their own at times. I'm also wanting to build an outside fire bath and toilet, put up a timber shed.

My daughter is very interested in learning Italian so if you are able to offer some time speaking with her would be great.Accommodation
You will stay in the house with us and have a small bedroom of your own to use, meals will be shared and had with our family. Help yourself to breakfast and lunch from the fridge and pantry, we will prepare most evening meals, it would be great if you help in the kitchen from time to time.
We are not vegan or vegetarian and eat most meals with some kind of meat but are happy to provide ingredients for someone who is vegan although it would be very helpful to have you help prepare your own meals if you are vegan. What else ...
Public transport is very poor around here so having your own car will be very helpful but I can pick up and drop off from the local bus stop at Quaama or Cobargo. There are lots of beautiful beaches and National Parks close by, some whale watching cruses and seal diving tours operate from the local towns. We hunt deer here on the property for our meat and we go fishing and spear fishing often. You will be welcome to join us.
We do not smoke cigarets but you're welcome to smoke outside if you do smoke.A little more information
