Description
I'm an entrepreneur and a nature and architecture lover. I'm based in Milan but my projects move from the rough mountains of the Alps to the soft hills of Tuscany. I'm half English and half Italian, but my heart stays here where I was born, in Italy (the food here is much better by the way)

With this experience you can benefit from two sides.
On one side you will beliving surrounded by the Italian traditions that still strongly live in its inhabitants through food, wine, culture, language and pastoral-agricolture.
On the other side you will be completely immersed in breathtaking landscapes of Marche, its paths through the hills, farms, old towns and the nearby sea.
You can check out the italian wikipedia page of the town by searching "wikipedia Sant'Andrea di Suasa"
You can see more photos of the town by looking for it on MapsHelp
We received from the local goverment this very old house located above the walls of this ancient town sorrounded by the soft hills of Marche region, 23 km from the Adriatic coast. The town name is Sant'Andrea di Suasa, about one thousend years old.
We are looking for somebody interested in architecture, nature, art or history to help me out in bringing back the beauty of this piece of Italian history! The area is really beutìful and the aim would be to host tourists, have workshops, or a biking stop.

Once inside the main and only city gate you will find yourself on top of the city walls. The house looks on a very nice small square from one side, and looks on the hills and the best sunset on the other side. The local "Taverna" inside the city walls is where you can meet the locals, eat local recipes and local wine. The inhabitants of Sant'Andrea di Suasa are very welcoming and will offer you food and drinks many times.
There is electricity and water in the house. We are working on the renovation of the bathroom which now features toilet, shower, sink, washing machine and hot water. Also the kitchen needs to be totally renovated, electric hoven, plates and pottery are available.
One bedroom is ready, but we need help with:
- Plastering walls
- Renovating wood parts and terracotta tiles
- Furnishing
- Cleaning
- Cleaning and renovating ceiling wood beams
We will provide all the materials, the tools, and food from the local TavernaLanguages

The house has electricity, 4G wi-fi.
The sea is about 20km away.
The town is more than 1000 years old, and used to have a few hundreds of inhabitants, but now there are about only 50 people permanently living there.
The town only has the Taverna (social bar/restaurant managed directly by the village) but is reached by restaurant and groceries delivery services. But it would be better to have a car or a bike.
Having some sort of transportation is highly raccomaned for visiting the surroundings and the sea. There is public transportation but is very inefficient in the area. What else ...

We stayed in the house where we worked and we loved this place and also the work to do. We were self contained and James trusted us completely, we really appreciated this. There was a lot of work to do in the house but we could do what we felt and the host was always available to confront.
