Description
A.A.A. We are seeking one person to assist with gardening, pet sitting, the grape harvest, as well as providing support with pilgrim hospitality and housekeeping.
We are a family of 4: a couple (Simona and Filippo) with 2 boys (Serafino, 14 and Sirio, 12) living in the countryside of Rome, surrounded by olive trees, a vineyard, several fruit plants, a vegetable garden, 10 chickens, 2 turtles, 1 dog (Tokay) and 1 cat (Topina).
We both work in the humanitarian sector (sometimes from home and sometimes in the office) and are looking for help for 4/5 hours per day with the grape harvest (in September), the olive harvest (in October), cutting wood, mowing, making jam with our fruits, gardening, weeding...
We can provide food and accommodations in a cottage.
During your free days/hours we hardly encourage you to enjoy the surroundings (Rome is just 30 minutes by train, Tivoli 30 min by bus; furthermore Palombara Sabina is part of the Regional Park of Lucretili's Mountains, perfect for those who love hiking).
We are also hospitaleros for the pilgrims along Francesco's path, linking Rome to Assisi and La Verna, so you might find some pilgrim while you are with us :)Types of help and learning opportunities

The help is various and we ask those who host to help both inside and outside the house. What we do out depends on the season. In September there is the grape harvest, the olive harvest in Octoberber, from June to October, the processing of fruit in jam, but also the tomato sauce. In short, no lack of work, but we are very welcoming and we like to treat our guests as part of the family! We accept people from anywhere in the world.

What else ...
Our house is only 4 km from the railway station of Piana Bella di Montelibretti from where you can reach the center of Rome. Tivoli is another easy place to reach with the bus and a lot of places where you can go for a walk/hiking are very near, reason why we hardly encourage you to visit them during your free time.
